Fernwood by the Sea was everything plus more. It was convenient with a short accessible stroll to the beach, as well as to the Village. Very nice location, and house is beautiful, very spacious, and in a nice quiet neighborhood. A good Tofino find. Thank you.

This property was perfect for our family. It’s a short 5 min walk to Chestermna beach and close to all the amnesties that Tofino has to offer. The property managers were very easy to communicate and checked in lots. We have already rebooked for next year.

We had a 2 night stay with 2 adults and 3 teens. The home was comfortably furnished and had all of the amenities we needed and more! We lived the 3 bedrooms and the beds and linens were very comfy! Having 2 bathrooms is a must with teens and they were very nice. The hot tub was an added bonus, especially after a day of surfing. The proximity to Chesterman Beach and a few restaurants and stores was also a big bonus!

This home is well-appointed and clean. Surfing every day meant the hot tub, showers and laundry were often used and enjoyed. The kitchen had every thing we needed and more. The short wander to Chesterman Beach was a dream.

We had a wonderful 4 days while staying at Fernwood. The location was great - 5 minutes to Chesterman beach and 10 minutes walking to the local coffee shop. The house itself was clean and the beds very comfortable. There were ample supplies in the kitchen to allow for easy meal prep. Definitely would recommend this place to others!

We had an amazing time at Fernwood by the Sea. The home was clean, spacious & well stocked.
Beds & furniture were comfy & the outdoor shower, surfboard racks & hottub were great!! My surfing son was pretty happy. It was about a 5 min walk to Chesterman beach & although it was pouring rain it was still an amazing walk on the beach. LOVED every minute of our stay. Thank you so much for your awesome communication during our stay. I was confident if we had an issues they would have been taken care of immediately but happy to say that wasn't necessary. I will definitely be staying at Fernwood by the Sea again & will recommend to family & friends. Thank you so much.

Nice to close to the beach! Loved the hot tub after some surfing. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped (just need a lid for a pot please 😉. Definitely would stay again :).

Four of us stayed at this property, and it was perfect for us. It was only a block to what we think is one of the finest beaches, and there were a few restaurants, coffee shops and a small grocery within easy walking distance. The kitchen is large and the open plan very spacious. There is living room seating for five, and a hot tub that was large enough for the four of us. This property is not cheap, but is in line with typical prices charged at similar properties in the area. We would return for sure.

Fernwood by the Sea was lovely a few steps to the beach and a lovely private hot tub for warming up and watching birds in the forest understory. Well equipped kitchen with BBQ on the patio for grilling fresh seafood. Very quiet spot that we would visit again and next time bring surfboards to make use of the racks and drying space for wetsuits!

We came up for a last minute trip and found this lovely home available for 4 nights. It easily accommodates 6 people, but for just the two of us it was perfect. We don’t surf, but this home is set up to handle surf boards, wetsuits etc, and has a large covered porch for leaving wet, sandy shoes. I really liked the set up of the home interior, it’s roomy and with a large kitchen, centre island and pull up stools and a dining room table, so plenty of variety to park oneself!
It’s a nice, quiet residential area, but only a five minute walk to Chesterman Beach, and ten to coffee shops, a grocery, surf shop and food.

A lovely place to stay
Fernwood by the Sea is a really nice place to stay. It is clean, comfortable, and spacious. The cottage was lovely inside and I especially liked the beautiful hand crafted dining room furniture. There were a number of really nice welcoming touches - a few lights were on and the floors were warm when we arrived. The proximity to the beach is great. And the hot tub was a nice quiet way to start my mornings.

Excellent communication with property agency - great location - the cabin is a good set up - it needs to be cleaned way better and could use some updated beds and bedding - maybe an electric fireplace for some atmosphere - hot tub was nice but again the area that surrounds it could use some atmosphere - the doors and windows could use a good cleaning - the stove is old and not efficient as well the BBQ needs to be replaced - we enjoyed the area and the proximity to the beach and town

Fernwood is a 3 bedroom house with a well equipped kitchen and spacious living area. This made winter accommodation comfortable. It is a short walk to the beach and a short drive or ride along the bike path to Tofino. The lot is very private and quiet. We had part of our 16 member family reunion at Fernwood and there was room for all for several hours. The large sink and dishwasher make cleanup easy.

Better than expected
The house was much larger than expected and impeccably clean. And closer to the beach than thought too.
All amenities were thought of. We really appreciate that it was pet friendly too. All in all, I would 100% recommend and we will return again!

Great location.
Property is near Chesterman Beach, and is pet friendly (fee) so the trail to the beach located at the end of the road is a big plus. The beds & bathrooms are comfortable and in good condition. The furniture is nice, but the couch is showing some wear. The loveseat is in good shape. Kitchen appliances were great, and the house is well equipped. They could add some more silverware, and some of the the kitchen tools are wearing out but still useable at this time. The hot tub on the back deck was terrific, and they supply extra towels for the hot tub, a nice touch. Overall the place is very good and we would stay there again.
