We arrived very late and Caterina was very welcoming upon arrival. The view and location was great. It was very clean, and my girls loved the pool area.

The tv didn’t work, the beds are all very noisy when you move whilst sleeping. The bathroom was very tight.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 of us & when we arrived they said it was 2 bedrooms but the so called second bedroom was bunkbeds in the tiniest kitchen!!! Couldn't wait to leave this apartment. These rooms were not show in the brochure pics!

The location of Makis was very good, only a five minute walk to the first taverna, a few more minutes to many more and of course the harbour. There were a few decent shops/small supermarkets and we found all we needed here, including food for breakfast and souvenirs to take home with us. There is a pharmacy and doctors surgery that you pass on the way to the harbour, although thankfully we didn't need either, but it may be reassuring for some people to have easy access to medical care. There is a very small beach, accessible along a path down the side of the cemetery, about a hundred yards to the right from Makis. The bottom part of the path is a little bit akward as there are a few rocks to scrabble over, but I've got arthritis in my knees and I managed with a bit of help from my other half. The sea was crystal clear and quite warm, ideal for swimming and snorkelling. The pool was plenty big enough for the number of guests and there are sunbeds and umbrellas around it. We spent many hours here when the weather was unbearably hot and the pool bar served lovely cold drinks and simple snacks, just what you need on a hot day. Our studio was compact but comfortable and had all you need to prepare breakfasts and snacks. There was a complimentary bottle of wine and some water in the fridge which was a lovely, welcome surprise. There is someone in reception during the day and they can help you book trips and taxis if required. All in all we had a great holiday, Agia Efimia is beautiful, the harbour looks spectacular at night and the Makis apartments were ideally located for everything.

The only thing that could be improved on is the view from our particular balcony. We had studio 16 and there was a storage place for mops and a bucket smack opposite, which wasn't ideal to look at when you wanted to sit outside. If these could be moved somewhwere else and perhaps replaced with some plants in a pot it would make a big difference. This is just constructive criticism and wouldn't put me off staying at Makis again.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful to my daughter who was staying there as a solo traveller. They really looked out for her. The room and facilities were excellent. Plus only a short walk to the town and the beach. My daughter had a fantastic time on Kefalonia and really enjoyed staying at the Makis Village Appartments. Would definitely recommend.

The Staff couldn't have been more helpful. The views are stunning. The pool is absolutely gorgeous. The pool bar serves lovely food. We had a small, compact studio apartment (with the most fantastic views), the bathroom/shower however was very small which, owing to my husband being on crutches, was not ideal (this was NOT The Makis's fault). However more spacious apartments are available and next time we will be booking one of those. That being said it was very clean, had everything you needed for a couple including excellent quiet air con in the bedroom

The bathroom shower was a little too compact for ease of movement.

The staff is really Nice, and the swimming pool is pleasznr

Be prepared , they lie on the ad ! I Booked for a 25 square meter and had merely 15!!! Plus the full equipted kitchen is ridiculous! I didnt expect much, but at least the basics shall be there !! A total shame for 90 e/ night!!

the apartment was clean and had wonderful views across the harbour. the staff were welcoming and friendly and helped us when we had a problem. the pool was clean and having a snack bar was a real bonus. this was an excellent apartment and we will go and stay again next year.
