Our host was so responsive to our questions which were few as all our needs were met in this gorgeous place.

This place is absolutely incredible! The pictures don’t do it justice. From the moment you pull up to the first steps inside we were completely blown away. Kristine was super responsive with all of my questions and gave us the full rundown before arrival so we know what to do upon check in. While it was a chilly weekend so we didn’t get to enjoy all the outdoor amenities we can’t wait to come back to stay again!

This was the perfect place for our group of 15. Plenty of space, activities, and beds for everyone. Highly recommend.

First I have to say the host was so helpful and friendly with all of our questions and requests. We really appreciate that anytime we travel. Next, the property was absolutely perfect for our large family. With the massive layout, two decks, outdoor games, large dock and pontoon - we had more than enough room to spread out and not feel on top of each other. We have a very large family with some coming just for a few days and others the entire week. We usually rent a different cabin every year but this one will be a repeat for sure!!

We had a wonderful time at this VRBO. We enjoyed playing Tenzi and shuffleboard and cruising around on the pontoon. The two kitchens were really nice when it came time to preparing meals and we loved that the kitchens were well stocked with all that you needed to make meals. The griddle outside made cooking breakfast a breeze. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the house that allowed people to spread out as needed. Kristine was really responsive to texts and emails and was a great host. We really enjoyed the house and the lake and can't wait to return.

This is the kind of house that you don’t want to leave an awesome review so it’s available for you to rent whenever you want! Everything about this place was amazing. The only downside was the 6 hour drive from Chicago. We had two families up for the week and could have fit two more! They thought of everything from the furniture to the pontoon boat. The fishing was amazing, and the beach was great for the little guys. We also took the pontoon for the sandbar a few days so the big kids could enjoy some swimming and playing catch. The late night fires and star gazing were some of our greatest memories. Endless games of shuffle board, pool and Tenzi were the best! I wish I could move this house to my backyard and enjoy it everyday. Thank you again for everything!!

This was our 2nd stay at Legends Lodge. It was even better then we remembered. The owners are fabulous to work with & very communicative. We loved being able to rent their pontoon as the best swimming spot is off a sandbar a few minutes away. This home is BEAUTIFUL & comfortably accommodates big groups. Kristine has thought of everything with renters in mind. Home is perfectly stocked with all your needs. We look forward to renting this home for years to come

This beautiful, spacious home gave our multi-family group plenty of options to gather (the sandy beach for the little ones, the shuffleboard court to try out new skills, the pool table to resurrect old skills, cruising the lake on the pontoon, lounging on the deck while taking in the view of the beautiful lake and landscape, playing cards in the gazebo, using the large living room areas for a high-spirited game of charades) and plenty of room to spread out so we didn't feel as though we were stepping on each other. Kristine was great in communicating and helping us with any questions. We appreciated the fishing tips! Our group was able to catch enough fish for a fish fry...with leftovers! Our goal is to return, expanding on our great memories from this year.

We had a wonderful time on our family vacation. The home was beautiful with plenty of space to be together or to have a little down time. Lots of activities, we especially enjoyed shuffleboard and campfires.

We had a wonderful time at Legends Lodge. We had a large group ranging from 2 months to 78 years. The lodge was well stocked & had so much to do. The fishing was great so we a lot of happy fishermen & women. We caught everything from panfish right off shore, to bass, walleye, & northern. We enjoyed the pontoon, playing cards, kayaking, tubing, shuffle board, & making s’mores. The weather was also great & most of the week we had the lake to ourselves.

Great property for our family time. Lots of space and good communication. Would definitely recommend this property. We had a heart time. Mission Accomplished.

It was a WONDERFUL experience! Kristine could not have been more helpful, responsive, and accommodating. We had 13 adults (diverse ages) and 1 child. The accommodations, location, and amenities were excellent. We enjoyed pontoon rides on the lake, corn hole competitions followed by bonfires (and smores!) in the evening. Indoors were also welcoming and accommodated our large group. Plenty of places to gather as well as areas for some quiet time. Having two kitchens was a great bonus! and the pool table saw lots of action as well! We were fortunate to have great fall colors as a backdrop to family pictures! Thank you, Kristine, for providing us a wonderful experience and lots and lots of special memories!

This property is amazing! Everything we could have asked for in a long cabin weekend. The cabin is spacious, comfortable, clean, beautiful, fun and the list goes on and on! We will be back!

This lakeshore property near Hayward Wisconsin has it all ... beach and shallow swimming area for small children, lakeshore property with beautiful views, great fishing (even right off the dock!), a great pontoon (for an extra charge), kayaks, lawn games and a fire pit. The house is huge and easily accommodated our vroup of 15. And it has terrific Wifi! The owners are easily accessible and really care about their property.

My wife and I hosted a group of 20-ish family members for a week, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Thanks again to our friendly, responsive, and helpful hosts Kristine and CL for making it such a wonderful experience 🙂

Everything went smoothly on our lake experience at this beautiful property. The setting is on large wooded lot on a quiet lake in northwest Wisconsin, and there are many activities available within a short distance...hiking, golf, etc. The owners were quickly responsive to the occasional question we had. The home was spotlessly clean, very spacious, and had everthing we needed for our group of 17. It was a very enjoyable week.

We had an amazing vacation. Kristine was very kind and patient with questions and pre-stay arrangements. The property was beautiful and we all appreciated the well stocked dishes, coffee cups and cookware. The two kitchens came in handy with our large group. We rented the pontoon and all enjoyed it! We had a few rainy/chilly days but had plenty of games to play. The cousins loved gathering and playing pool On the lower level. We would recommend this property 100% and will cherish the memories we made during the week.

This property worked so well for our large family (4 separate families all stayed). The house was so clean, the lake and boat were great, we had an awesome time. And Kristina was so easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend!!!

We had a family reunion with family members aged 2-82 and everyone had a fantastic time! The house was absolutely ideal giving space and opportunity for everyone to gather, play, rest, and reflect. I really can’t say enough about this vacation spot. Just rent it. You’ll be glad you did!

We were very comfortable at this property. Kids had a great time with kayaks on the waterfront. Shuffleboard was a fun alternative game for all. The 2 kitchen's were a plus for out family.

Great place for large group! Lots of space inside and out. We had some family members working from home.during our week stay, and they had plenty of quite areas to work. Loved the shuffle board!

This location is perfect for a large group and awesome for kids. Plenty of space and good lawn for them to play in. Pontoon was great and views were unreal. Also big plus having 2 kitchens. Awesome place. We will stay again if ever do a large family stay again! Thanks Kristine.

Legends Lodge is absolutely beautiful. We have 18 family members ranging from 80 years down to 1 month old and this was a perfect location for our reunion. SOOO many places to gather- the fire pit, the shuffleboard court, the gazebo game room, the pool room in the basement, the large sun deck off the "East Wing" (as we called it...), not to mention the huge kitchen and dining room in the "West Wing". With a group our size, it was great having 2 full kitchens to work with. Pontoon rides were a nice addition- and Kristine was super helpful and very quick to answer any questions we had. It was a Legendary Weekend at Legends Lodge!

Pretty simple and straightforward rental. Good communication with the owner. Everything is very well laid out and explained. Would have appreciated garage access during winter times. Also game room is not available during the winter. Overall good experience

We recently stayed for here for an extended weekend celebrating my in-law's 50th Wedding Anniversary. We had 20 people staying here, ages ranging from 1-75. There was plenty of room for our whole gang and everyone was very comfortable. They have truly thought of everything here. The amenities were amazing and we had a perfect weekend! It's not easy to find a place big enough to house that many families comfortably, but Legends Lodge is massive and is the perfect place to host a big gathering. The only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer! The property owner was so friendly and willing to answer any questions we had, and very promptly as well! We hope to get back here some day soon!

The cabin was located on a beautiful lake and the property was perfect for our big family. We enjoy every minute of it and made everlasting memories here.

I could write pages on how great the Legends Lodge was for our family reunion. First, the house set up is wonderful. One family and kids (vegetarians) took the entire north wing with their own kitchen for food storage and cooking. Other families all had their own space. The kitchen is set up with plenty of pots, pans, mugs, dishes, spices, etc. to handle a large crew. The bed linens, towels and showers were very high quality. The large kitchen cooking area and dining room table easily handled the main meals. The deck was perfect for morning coffee and lunches. The grill is top notch. Next is the lake with their phenomenal pontoon boat (definitely rent it) and kayaks. The lake is quiet and our sunset pontoon rides were a highlight. Check out the loons and bald eagles on the lake. The grandkids enjoyed catching bluegills with grandpa off the dock. The owners were a pleasure to work with, quick replies to my numerous questions and lots of helpful hints . Our evenings were spent either around the campfire or up in the gazebo with a hot game of craps. Other than a quick trip to Minong to replenish some groceries, bait and beer, we spent all week on the property and were never bored. We can’t wait to come come back next summer.

We had a fantastic week! The house and property are beautiful. Sunrise along the shoreline was a great way to start the day followed by a kayak trip where the water was smooth as glass. We rented the pontoon boat as well, was worth every penny. Very nice boat, starts immediately every time. Kids really enjoyed swimming and floating at the sandbar, sea legs on the boat made it super easy to dock and exit. Large kitchen and island made mealtime a breeze, had everything we needed. The refrigerator in the 2nd kitchen made for a handy drink fridge. The house is only 40 mins from Hayward which was perfect for a day trip. In the evening we enjoyed the pool table, fire pit with whimsical string lights and movie night on the big screen. Large sectional in the living rooms was perfect for movie night and morning cartoons when the little ones woke up. Very high quality linens and hotel quality products in every bathroom. We loved the modern touches but still the lake life/cabin feel. Such a great trip to end the summer, hope to make it back someday! C.L. and Kristine are lovely hosts, extremely responsive to any questions and very accessible. Such a lovely hope, Hapoy they are willing to share it 🙂

We had a great week. Kids loved the outdoor space - all of the areas around the house are well-kept and the shoreline is sandy beach. The house is exceptional - something for everyone. Nice family areas. The lake is nice and fairly quiet - perfect environment.

We’ve been renting cabins over the 4th of July for the past 13 years and this has been the best property to date. So much so, we’re looking to make this our annual rental which would be a first for us.The property is so large which means you don’t have the neighboring cabins on top of you. You certainly feel as though you’re on your own. Access to the lake is relatively flat which is great when compared to many properties where you’re having to ascend/descend many stairs to get to the water or back to the cabin. It also makes it really easy to keep your eyes on the kiddos when they’re down by the water.As you can tell from the pictures the cabin is MASSIVE. Its essentially (2) big cabins joined together. There is so much space that you’re always able to find your own spot for some quiet time to read a book or sneak in a nap. At night, the kids can be put to bed and still be able to separate yourselves from the sleepers if you’re interested in staying up a bit later to hang out and have some laughs without disturbing anyone. The interior of the cabin is very well appointed with everything you could possibly need. The owners have thought of everything.We rented the brand new Pontoon and this thing is a Cadillac. Its set up perfect for heading to the sandbar for the day or heading out for some fishing. It has everything including Sea Legs which enable you to easily “anchor” without have to actually mess with an anchor. A push of a button and you’ll be anchored provided you’re in 4’ of water or less.Cannot wait to get back here next year!
