Rien à voir avec l'hôtel, mais une personne du village a beaucoup trop insisté pour que l'on aille chez elle dès notre sortie de l'embarcadère.

We loved our stay at Silk Island Homestay. A beautiful family sharing their beautiful home. A little slice of rural heaven in amongst the city hustle. The house is gorgeous and very well presented. Our host cooked us a bbq dinner and made us breakfast the next day. Delicious! We hired local bikes and rode leisurely around the small island and part of the big island. Lots of banana trees and beautiful flowers (similar to ones grown in Australia). The silk place was interesting to see silk being transformed from silk worm... We wanted to stay longer but had to get an early morning flight the next day. Highly recommend for a little adventure on the ferry across the mekong to this piece of serenity. I highly enjoyed staying at Theary’s homestay which is located on a very beautiful island, off the beaten track. I enjoyed everything’s at Theary’s place, from the nice decoration and the nice pool to the delicious local dishes she cooked. located less than 1 minute away from the main thing to do on the island (silk farm, which is very nice). to finish, super easy to get there from Phnom Penh (took me 20 min in total).

Pillows were a bit thick and hard but that’s the only minor negative I could find. everything was perfect.

Fantastic people, pool, and property. Thanks! Host family is happy to visit and also are working and living. Comfortable bed, good AC in the bedroom (not in the living areas). Tasty home cooking at reasonable prices. A few notes about location and transport: Lovely rural setting outside the city, with the sounds of life, worship, industry, birds, and farms. Easy to find using google maps and passapp. Passapp may offer drivers a very low fee from the city to the ferry so they don't pick up or try to call to negotiate, and tuk tuk drivers may not know where it is. I had a plan to go into the city twice during a day, but it's a bit far and not appealing to travel in the heat, so ended up staying out for the day. The road and bridge from the ferry are a bit tricky for a roller bag. Needs some planning for transport from the island. I'm not complaining: this is what it means to choose the rural option!

1. people: very humble and friendly Cambodian owners 2. facility: kitchen, large fridge, thermo, hot shower, AC, swimming pool, spacious common space, veranda 3. location: close to the capital, need to take a boat but it runs frequently and cheap. 4. food: handmade Khmer food was so delicious. 5. well maintained and very clean it’s literally like “homestay”, if you are tired of hotel stay or interested in local life, here’s the option. Good for remote work or writing (not sure about wifi so you should have local sim for hotspot. “Smart” worked.)

Absolutely everything. From the minute we arrived we were treated so well. The accommodation was perfect and hosts and their family were wonderful.
