I was refused a one night stay in this place, as I had no photo ID on me. Booking was accepted, one night, £40, pre-booked with booking.com On arrival at the hostel, first red flag was a large spiders web like smashed glass panel in the front door. Buzzed in, you walk into the hall area, and the smell of stale air hits you. The grim low level lighting and grimy flooring add to the scenario of being booked into some sort of holding area / detention centre. A few steps up take you to the mezzanine and an office area, 1W lighting in here as well. These steps / flooring are dirty and have not been washed for years. It was eerily quiet. By now, the smell and grime will be starting to hit home, that stale air, at least a year old, will be in your clothing, hair and backpack. After establishing that I did have a booking to the receptionist, who seemed confused, I was asked for photo ID. I had bank cards, but no, photo required. Receptionist explained it was part of the booking conditions. Fair enough, but then said if I " cancelled the booking " he would take me as a " walk in " guest for £40. Obviously the hostel would then be paid twice. Receptionist made a few calls, but stood firm, I needed to cancel. Which I would not do. There was no negotiation on offer here. There is a similar story on Tripadvisor for this place. Speaking with booking.com ( Singapore ), later that day, I was told that the photo ID was mandatory and there was nothing they could do. Communication difficult with the Singapore staff. I then received a couple of emails from booking.com , one stated there was a " partial booking " query and one stating I was a " no show ". I never cancelled the booking at any stage. Querying this, booking.com, told me that the hostel said that I was lying ! !

Au cœur de la ville, l''auberge est très bien située. La navette aéroport passe juste devant, ce qui peut s'avérer pratique en cas de départ très matinal. L' accueil est ouvert 24h/24h. Dans mon dortoir, le lit était confortable et le chauffage efficace (j'y ai séjourné 3 nuits en décembre).

Il n'y a pas d'espace de convivialité, pas de cuisine non plus. De plus, vous avez l'interdiction formelle d'apporter de la nourriture chaude dans votre chambre. Le restaurant en bas de l'auberge pratique des prix abusifs. Vous trouverez mieux à proximité. La propreté laisse à désirer. La salle de bain n'est pas nettoyée quotidiennement. Des cheveux partout. Dans les dortoirs, les meubles de rangement fournis sont très petits et ne permettent pas de poser un cadenas. Votre sac à dos peut être stocké dans une pièce fermée moyennant un supplément. Les dortoirs donnent sur des rues bruyantes. Ce n'est pas un problème en soit, il faut juste le savoir.

Prime location in city centre, check in time from 2pm onwards.

Las imágenes no corresponden, las paredes están sucias, los baños no sirven, siempre están sucios y con polvo, no hay limpieza, no está tan pulcro como en las imágenes y los percheros están rotos, no hay suficientes regaderas ni conecciones para cargar el cel

Apenas da localização, mas nem isso foi motivo para eu passar uma noite.

O local é péssimo, nem deveria estar no Booking, parece um labirinto, com um risco enorme de incêndio. Eu paguei uma diária, mas não tive coragem de dormir, perdi dinheiro e fui para um hotel. Cobraram 20 libras além da diária, não entendi o motivo, estou aguardando a devolução no cartão.

Manque de propreté. Il avait un rasoir jetable par terre dans une toilette pendant plus de deux jours. Il a manqué de papier de toilette. Il n’avait ps de sèche main ou de papier pour s’essuyer les mains après les avoirs laver. Des vêtements sales étaient sur le sols dans les chambres de bains pendant au moins deux jours

Really disappointed and never ever again.

Nothing for cleaning. Everywhere is rubbish and dirty. Even for paid bed there is nothing clean and unused.

Clean white walls, clean bedding. Only 3 beds for a room of women.

Overflowing rubbish bins everywhere; why can't they just empty them? (And no bin in our room). A rabbit warren of rooms that doesn't feel very fire safe. Only one shower/bathroom to be shared with many people which meant we had to wait ages for a shower. Ridiculous. I've never had that in hostels I've stayed in in London which cost half. Just stressful. Had to pay extra for a towel (at least the towel was big and clean).

The location is excellent, right in the city centre. The room was clean and the shower was really good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free WiFi was good too

The room is very basic - literally just a bed and a wardrobe. No bin was provided (although the reception staff said there were bins in the hallway so I know if I come back!) and only a small amount of toilet roll was provided. Anything else you needed was an extra charge (towels etc)

The property was very central to the town centre, great transport links- you can get a bus straight up to the main train/bus station which takes less than 10 mins. There are lovely restaurants around too. cheap if it’s just a place to sleep

It wasn’t very clean, the shower on my floor was out of order. The toilets weren’t pleasant

The bathrooms were in a really bad cleaning state, the shower was disgusting. It's just regular to have a towel for the shower, but I had to rent the towel.

Location was brilliant and 24 hour open and secure! Buzzer for the door.

No lights by bed. No plugs beside bed. Not being able to take my suitcase inside but instead having to unpack in reception and paying £5 per day if I wanted my suitcase in the hostel. Not being able to get fresh air in room. Having to buzz everything to get in to the hostel.

You couldn't bring any food into the hostel which made it a difficult experience if you are trying to be on a budget. The bathrooms were not very clea

Hostel is located few meters away from the bus stop. My flight was delayed so instead of coming at 23:00 I arrived at 02:00. Staff (Akash) was super helpful and thoughtful. Except helping me to charge my phone and power bank (I had no UK plug) they also accommodate me in different room being careful not to disturb other guests.

I really like the location!

I don't like because they don't provide proper lockers in the room but they ask for £20 deposit and I didn't understand why?! I booked many times hostels and everyone has a good lockers safe next to the bed!
