nice peaceful well maintained property

The best place to stay for a long time In Varkala. Near restaurants and the beach, a fruit shop and a grocery store. Taxi stand. The apartments have everything you need for living. Small cozy kitchen, all utensils to cook at home. Purely. Quiet, peaceful place, beautiful, well-groomed yard. Suji is very friendly. I want to live here next time.

A very nice and quiet place from where it’s easy to go to the beach and to the shops path.

Check-out at 10am. But there are many great stuffs to do in Varkala

The room was very clean, very cozy, nicely decorated. It also had a neat little balcony with a ceiling fan where I spent all of my evenings. The location is close to helipad, but very silent, except for the birdies chirping in the trees in front of house :)) The staff working there was exceptional. I arrived ill and the hotel manager Suji insisted to take me to the doctor after hearing me cough. He also helped me with any other arrangements I needed during my stay.

It would be nice to have more common areas to hangout outside the room and to meet other people staying there.

You can't get a car there so little far to walk for peapole whith walking problems

The rooms were well maintained & kitchen amenities were also available. Hot water was available round the clock and Mr. Suji (Manager) was very kind in making sure we felt at home. The location was just a brisk 5 min walk away from all the Cafe's & Shops at Varkala Cliff. Very happy with the stay. We stayed in a Non-AC room. But still the fan was enough as the nights got chilly.

The residence has no direct road accessibility. A 1 metre wide Walkway passage is the only route to access. That's the only drawback in case you're carrying heavy bags / having elderly people with you.

The hotel is located in a quiet place, yet close to the beach, shopping street and taxi and rickshaw parking. Staff very helpful and polite. A room is not just a room, but rather a small apartment with a kitchen and a small terrace in front of the entrance. Overall comfortable, clean. Bathroom standard typical of local hotels.

No air conditioning. When I booked the room, I knew that there would be no air conditioning, only a fan. However, air conditioning would be better.

Quite stay, very near to beach yet peaceful location

Room needed upkeep, felt pictures showed a bigger room and reality was something else. Bathroom was untidy and room had black mould, coffee table wasn't clean.

Proximity to the beach

There were better places at cheaper rates. The owner changed his booking at the last moment. No facilities available. Extra bedding was also an issue

Property is very near to the North Cliff and as soon as you come out of those narrow lanes, you will be greeted by the beautiful view of ocean. Accessible from all the main places in Varkala. Manager Suji is very helpful. Kitchen in the room was functional and clean. Washroom was clean. There are many cafes near north cliff but you will have limited options if you happen to be a vegetarian. :)

The location is slightly difficult to find for the first time but property manager Suji will guide you, so that's okay. Lanes are very narrow, getting through those lanes on scooty is tricky and there was a stray dog who used to bark at us for no reason but people are helpful, they chased it away. Rest all good! :)

It is a great place to stay especially for people who are in Varkala for longer and would like to cook and make their own tea. The little kitchen had a fridge, gas cooker, basic utensils and a little table with two seats. The area is quite and on ground floor it was pleasantly cool, I appreciated the fan on the terrace. There is local lady who cooks food on order, she is excellent cook and price is very good. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others!

The one thing that I find hard to handle in India in general are the hardness of the mattress and here I faced the same problem, we asked if there is anything available to make the mattress softer and the manager kindly gave us two blankets and it improved the situation. People travelling with car should keep in mind that they will have to leave the car at helipad which is quite safe as it is guarded. People travelling by bike can park it at the property if they are skilled drivers who can get trough the narrow lanes.

it is very close to the Varkala cliff beach. It has all you need for staying for several days.

I had some problems with the wifi, however, the host was very helpful and looked instantly for solutions.

it is a 200m walk amidst narrow dark lanes from the helipad.. plus there is no parking available

The owners were sweet, professional and went out of their way to make me comfortable. It is a quaint quiet place with a beautiful balcony and separate kitchen. I could work out of the dining area as there was wifi. I really liked the linen and the interiors. And the story behind the name :)

Blue Sophy is a private space at a great location. Incredibly nice vibe here. The host are super friendly, helpful, caring. Very clean and fresh room inside. The kitchen was lovely. I also enjoyed the nice terrace with the wonderful green garden just outside. I left with more than I could ever expect from my stay. Highly recommending! Thank you so much!

Very cozy apartment with all the facilities you need for a comfortable living. Well cleaned and quite. Very close to the beach.
