Lovely pub with rooms on historic building....great location and fab sunday roast

Because its old not really great if you have mobility problems but that said we managed !

location was beautiful & the style / decor of the property was very fitting & homely. rooms were very warm, even though it was -2 degrees when we visited!

the bar / dining area was quite cold, even though they had a fire lit by the entrance. again, it was -2 so was a very cold night which didn’t help.

Beautiful room and building,very stylish,friendly staff.

Although the breakfast was good quality and well prepared I felt it did not match the price with no ,cereals,fruit,yougurt ,pastries,or even offered a second hot drink, toast with conserves.Just offered one hot choice from the menu.

A lovely place to stay full of character. Evening meal very nice despite them forgetting an item

Staff not very attentive / didn’t seem to care too much about guests. Forgot one item from 3 ordered at evening meal. Didn’t bring milk to room in morning for tea/coffee despite offering to upon check in and checking they would do so in evening.

We were arranging a holiday for ourselves on the Isle of Wight, and we needed to find a hotel in which we could stay en route to the coast. When talking to friends who lived in Arundel, they recommended the hotel and particularly made us want to visit Petworth after finding out about Petworth House and the other galleries. They also told us that, considering the lovely weather and the good food at the hotel, the four of us would very much enjoy an open air dinner together - and we did.

Everything was good. The hotel and the car park on the opposite side of the road.

Friendly staff, good food, delightful location.

Very easy to have our dog with us - all areas available to dogs. Very good walking accessible from the hotel. Room exceptionally comfortable, with air con which was very welcome in the current hot weather. Enormous bathroom with large bath, separate shower, and twin basins. Nice view over courtyard garden. Great breakfast. Free hotel parking immediately opposite.
