A very convenient and comfortable property in a lovely part of the world. Lovely walks and places to visit close by.

Just steps away from all that Petworth has to offer. The Pool House is beautifully appointed and very comfortable in every way. The hosts are very friendly and always on hand, living in The Old Rectory next door. This was our second visit and I’m sure it won’t be the last.

Perfect little house in the ideal location for visiting Surrey/Sussex. An easy stroll to the local shops including our favorite place for morning coffee. Just opposite Petworth Park, so ideal for your morning walk. Walk or drive to several nice pubs. The hosts Carole and Robert are very accommodating. We have stayed here several times before and we hope that we will always be welcome back.

Convenient to Petworth shops and pubs. Lovely house with modern furnishings. Comfy beds and great shower. Everything you need for a pleasant stay.

This is our second stay at the Poolhouse. Carole was just as helpful and gracious as before Property is modern and clean throughout. Three bedrooms and three baths which is not the usual in England. Kitchen has everything you will need. Great walking location to Petworth town, Petworth Park and local footpaths. It has all we needed and then some. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. Already booking for next year.

Wonderful location and we were fortunate to have days where we could use the pool. House has everything you need and lots of food and drink options within a short walk. Hosts very very approachable

Hosts are next door, friendly and readily available for hints and tips. Didn’t quite make 5 stars overall as one or two things just let it down a little which was a shame. In no way spoiled our stay and easily rectified. Would definitely book again.

The Pool House is an excellent property for a get away. It is well designed, very clean and has everything you could need. It is also in a great location.

Excellent property with 3 (!!!) en-suite bathrooms. Very comfortable beds & good kitchen facilities although the top cupboards are too high ( a small step stool would have been useful). The property is very well positioned to enjoy all the attractions that Petworth & the South Downs have to offer.

Great property, clean and well equipped very close to Petworth Estate, the town and its amenities. We especially enjoyed the pool and spending lazy days in peace and quiet chilling. Carole and Robert were lovely and quick to respond when needed. We'll definitely be back.

Many thanks to our hosts for offering our family such a warm welcome to their fantastic property. We enjoyed a much-needed break in the lovely, spacious, spotlessly clean and well-equipped poolhouse. Despite Covid-imposed restrictions, we had a very comfortable stay, with no amenities lacking (pristine bed linen incredibly good!) Our friendly hosts were always available to promptly answer any questions yet provided us space and privacy throughout our stay. An ideal location just a stone's throw from the shops and restaurants of Petworth and all that the National Trust's Petworth House has to offer. Thank you, Carole and Robert, for an absolutely wonderful week.

We booked the property mainly due to the swimming pool and the fact that it was in a location that we hadn't been to before. The pool was lovely, despite the miserable weather we managed to swim most days. The house is right in the centre of Petworth a really excellent position, you can walk to shops and restaurants which are all very good. Petworth house is literally across the road and is well worth a visit. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed, we had two adult boys who didn't want to share so one slept on the sofa bed on the landing which was fine but it is a shame that none of the rooms had twin beds rather than just doubles. The only downside we would highlight is that you have to go through the downstairs bedroom to get to the pool and the shower room with that bedroom needs mopping after every use and steams up completely as there is no window, the towel rail is connected to the central heating which isn't on during the summer so if you have miserable weather like we did your towels don't dry and it ends up feeling a bit damp. The rest of the house was perfect. We would visit again and would recommend, the hosts live next door and were very helpful.

Imaculate and spacious property with great swimming pool set in the heart of the bueatiful South Downs. Nothing was too much trouble for our very friendly and excellent hosts.

Our stay was incredible and the hosts were extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The location was stunning and the property was beautiful with everything you would need for a break away. All procedures were very COVID safe and we felt totally at ease. Would highly recommend!
