We wanted a few days away and also to catch up with friends. It was ideal for this purpose.

Very clean and beautifully decorated

21 Pound Street is a beautiful little villa. It has been refurbished to a very high standard. Furnishes are very comfortable. The garden has been transformed into a delightful area that is a gorgeous space to sit in with a studio that is another large room to sit in. I really enjoyed staying in 21 Pound Street. Liz the host is very communicative and answered all our questions quickly and went out of her way to be helpful, thank you Liz.

We liked everything about this property.

the house was absolutely stunning with incredible interior design. Everything was in perfect condition. Absolutely fantastic location, parking only £2.80 for 24hour period, in a gorgeous village with beuatiful shops & cafes. We visited lots of local pubs and their local indian which was one of the best indians we've ever had! The outside courtyard & dining room is perfect on a sunny day. Couldn't have asked for more from a little getaway weekend- wish we'd stayed longer! Very efficient & easy to contact host aswell!

Little bit of noisy traffic going through in the mornings which is heard from the front of the house- but if window is kept shut you don't hear it :)

it’s a lovely little place, perfect for 2 or 3 guests. all the facilities work well and there’s plenty of TV choice if you fancy staying in. there’s a well-stocked supermarket 2 minutes away on foot (even open on New Year’s Day), plus pubs & restaurants in easy reach. best accessed with a car but cab services are also available. petworth and the surrounding area is lovely to visit.

it’s very minor and it’s a standard bug bear - brand new tea towels which haven’t yet been washed and therefore don’t dry very well. the brand new is appreciated of course but wash them at least once first so they’re also useful. some coffee capsules would have been nice - I bought the wrong ones at the shop cuz I couldn’t find the right ones. this didn’t ruin my stay of course. I had a lovely time.

Location in the town was very convenient, all the amenities were a very short walk. The property has been recently refurbished to a very high standard with a modern, tasteful decor that respects the age of the building. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had good pressure. The host was very helpful. Tip: you need to go into the car park to access the property from the rear, as the front door on Pound Street is not accessible. Car park free between 6pm and 8am and on Sundays, otherwise need to pay a very small fee for entire day (£2.60) - download app and you can do this from bed!

Extremely steep stairs to upstairs with very narrow treads; needed to descend sideways. Not really an issue for us but could be for less mobile clients. There are also steep steps down from parking to entrance. Single glazing and road quiet noisy - not lots of traffic, just country drivers whizz past as if on a race track ( we’re from London where traffic is very slow and consequently quieter).
