We needed some time away and to relax…Take it Easy was the right medicine!

This was a great property that was central to all of the activities we wanted to do. Beautiful cabin that was clean and had everything we needed. The host is very easy to work with and the check-in, check-out went smoothly. We will definitely stay here again! Thank you, Derek, for your hospitality.

Nice getaway for our 28th anniversary. Quiet neighborhood. Only issue at no fault of cabin owner, is that neighbor cabin let their large aggressive dogs run free. We were charged by one twicetwice. Thankfully neither time my pup was outside. Please leash your dogs!

My husband, daughter, two dogs, and I stayed at the Take It Easy cabin together. It was a very cute and cozy place and I loved the location! The host is wonderful-very attentive and responsive. The cabin is one in a small group that shares a driveway and has a small, shared laundry cabin. We were able to get our laundry done with ease and there was plenty of room to park beside the cabin. As the host mentioned in the description, the stairs to the loft are narrow and steep so it’s not a sleeping area I would recommend for very young children or older adults. However, my 23 year old daughter had no issues at all sleeping up there and I was easily able to get up and down when needed. There is a spacious bedroom and bathroom on the main floor. We also enjoyed the arcade game and the hot tub! The hot tub is located on the front porch with plenty of privacy as the host has enclosed the area with lattice board. We love Townsend! If you’ve never stayed in the area, but enjoy peace and quiet and good local restaurants, you would love it. Many thanks to Derek!

Came for the Jeep event and just to have a few days away. It was wonderful. Our host was amazing. Description was on-point. We were hauling a trailer and it was easy enough to get our truck and trailer into the drive. Worked perfect. Hot tub and video game was a plus :).

Delightful stay. The arcade game was very popular with our traveling group. The hot tub was a wonderful end-of-day relaxation experience. Excellently maintained property and perfect destination for a quiet, peaceful get-away in a lush forested setting. Communication with host was prompt and helpful. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed everything about the cabin. Comfortable bed and furniture. Hottub was a nice plus. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The location is close to the state park and the small town of Townsend. The recommendations from Derek were spot on, especially his restaurant recommendations. Thanks Derek!

We enjoyed our week long stay the cabin with our kids and 2 dogs. We had everything we needed. kids loved the arcade game and hot tub. Perfect quiet, peaceful location. Townsend is the cutest little mountain town close to but away from all of the hustle and bustle of pigeon forge and gaitlinburg. We enjoyed several of the coffee shops, the Chocolate Bar and had a wonderful dinner with the best atmosphere at the Dancing Bear Lounge. We enjoyed the proximity to the GSMNP and Cades Cove. Saw some bears on the drive there. The scenery was breathtaking. We did the skylift and horseback riding in Wears valley at Harper Bros and had a wonderful experience that we all enjoyed. Pigeon forge is a 20 minute beautiful drive thru the mountains. Gaitlinburg is 30 minutes thru the national park. Overall wonderful experience and would love to stay again the next time we visit!!

My husband and I stayed here with our dogs. The entire process was so easy. Derek was a pleasure to work with. The cabin was absolutely adorable. The bed was so comfortable. The hot tub was a wonderful perk. We saw our first black bear. We were actually sad to leave. The area is beautiful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect for a couple wanting the quiet side of the Park. Clean and very near Townsend. Convenient to Maryville and the Foothills Pkwy. Derek was very responsive.

Bathroom was nice mattress was old windows were dirty hottub did not work properly cabins were on top of each other was in a neighborhood dirty diapers throne out at end of driveway have a lot more to say but driving very poorly kept In most areas I would change property managers

We chose the cabin because it is dog friendly. There are other cabins but are far enough apart we felt very private. We look forward to a return trip when schedule permits. There was a loft bedroom which we did not need, but it would be great for teens or kids.

The cabin was even nicer than the pictures were able to show! A cabin with a hotel quality feel! Best, relaxing weekend, and great care and communication from the host!

Townsend was absolutely amazing ! We love this town because you definitely are in the PEACEFUL side of the Smokey’s. Our family consisted of two adults my son 11 and my daughter 20. The upstairs was perfect for them I would not recommend this for 4 adults the steps are steep and only kids would do well upstairs unless it’s one adult but not Elderly will not be able to manage the stairs. The cabin was snug but perfect for us. The kitchen does not have new pots and pans there pretty beat up. We really didn’t cook. But if your cooking all three meals it’s not ideal. Just the minimum for the kitchen supplies. No soap no sponge. Bring your own or have to buy. There are roaches and little bugs and very dusty. It’s the woods not sure if the bugs will ever go away. But we did not leave any food outside at all. And I kept the counter clean always. The area like I said was amazing. Your away from the craziness of that’s what you want. Derek was great very attentive with issues we had like the dishwasher wasn’t working got fix the next day promptly and the fire place was working fine. If you don’t know how to turn it on like us from FLORIDA. YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE PILOT ON AND PUT BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. Then you have to turn on with lighter on top while having this pressed and it’s located on the right to the back. Then you can adjust high or low. Overall this was an amazing experience and time with our family. We loved it. No matter what we don’t let the little things bring down our positive attitudes on things. If you want everything perfect this is not the cabin for you.

The "TAKE IT EASY" cabin was just as advertised. It made for a perfect week of fall hiking and enjoying the fall colors! Owner was responsive though we really had not problems to speak of. Would stay here again.

The cabin was just what we wanted ,it was very clean,Derek made it very easy to check in and took care of a few small problems we had very quickly .I f are looking for something quite and on the easier side of the Smokies then Townsend is for you . Thanks Derek for renting us your cabin we enjoyed our stay

There were roaches! Derek was very apologetic and attentive to get the issues taken care of. We left the lights on in the kitchen to keep them away at night. Other than that, the cabin was cozy, the hot tub was really nice… other than the small problem with the cover, the rocking chairs on the porch always a plus. The beds were comfy, but the steps leading up to the loft bedroom were narrow and steep. Overall, it was a nice quiet weekend.
