We stayed here for our wedding weekend and loved the space. Clean and well-stocked with clear instructions, all amenities as described, any super friendly communicative hosts. No issues at all! The property was beautiful, the street quiet, and the house had all we needed. Thanks for a great week!

Our family of four loved our stay at the Hermit Crab’s Cottage! The beds were comfy. Everything was clean. The shower pressure was great and never ran out of hot water. We loved the location. The location was great! You could walk to the beach, lighthouse, shops, and restaurants which is important on Tybee because it costs to park almost everywhere. The hot tub was wonderful also.

We really enjoyed this little cottage during our three week stay. We spent most of our time on the deck with our morning coffee, a glass of wine, enjoying the birds (lots of osprey!), reading, and playing guitar. Since the weather was a bit chilly at times, the hot tub was a must after a day on the beach or a long bike ride. We had several bonfires, too. The outside areas were great! Such pretty gardens! The beds were super comfortable and the house was well-stocked with almost everything we needed. The location is excellent! Lots of nearby beaches and restaurants. The Polk Street Beach was our favorite. Never crowded and a great spot to watch the container ships or a sunset. The Tybee Post Theater is just a ten minute walk away and we saw five shows during our stay. We parked our car and walked, biked, or took the rented golf cart everywhere we wanted to go. A great stay and we hope to be back again.

The owners were very easy to communicate with. The cottage was extremely clean and it had everything we needed. Perfect location to the north or south entertainment districts. STOP LOOKING! Just rent it!

We enjoyed our stay at this cute decorated two bedroom cottage. It is on a quiet side street and the beach access is down the street and within a few minutes walking distance. We enjoyed the fire pit outside and the hot tub in the screened in separate porch building. The kitchen and cottage was supplied with all the things we needed like cookware, dishes, towels etc. Dana & Mick were easy to communicate with if we had any questions. I would highly recommend this place to enjoy your stay on Tybee!

We got the crazy idea to try “snowbirding” this winter. A month long respite away freezing temperatures and the icy conditions at home. Because we were staying a month, we did quite a bit of comparing on VRBO….Hermit Crab’s cottage was a huge standout….clean, quiet street on Tybee, walking distance to the park, beach, restaurants and shopping….AND IT DELIVERED! But not just all the amenities that were reported in the listing for the cottage, Dana and Mick, the cottage owners were terrific!!! They provided recommendations for us about local restaurants and things to do on Tybee. But honestly, our favorite hangout was right on the deck at the cottage. The sun, the green spaces around us, the fenced in yard for our two chihuahuas….outside living at Hermit Crab’s cottage is truly special and highly recommended for those who enjoy the outdoors yet easy access to everything. We LOVED our month at Hermit Crab’s Cottage! It was an unforgettable memory for us….we can’t wait to go back!

The house had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The yard was perfect for our dogs. The location was also very convenient. We were able to walk to the good restaurants. As stated in the description, it is a small house and the bathroom is particularly tight, but it was just my spouse and I so we didn't find that a problem. Overall, I would recommend.

We've stayed here several times, so of course we have nothing but great things to say about this cozy beach cottage! It's evident that the owners take great pride in ensuring a spotless and inviting atmosphere for their guests. It's perfect in the summer being within walking distance to the beach, but we really love winters in Tybee - biking to nearby restaurants and sites, walking on the beach cuddled up in sweatshirts - and then getting to come back to this sweet and cozy place to relax in the hot tub. We loved the cottage. Everything is comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. The outdoor space and hot tub are a real bonus. Short walking distance to the beach and many restaurants. Quiet and safe neighborhood. We can’t wait to stay here again!

We loved the cottage for a long weekend. It was located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, and so close to the beach. We had everything we needed and the kitchen is wonderful!

A few days at Hermit Crab Cottage is just what the doctor ordered. This is the second time we have stayed here and it was just as perfect as the first time. The cottage is so charming with a homey feel that engulfed you the moment you open the door to music playing. It is these little personal touches which makes this cottage THE ONE. Spending the cool evenings on the deck with a cocktail or just reading a book in the screened enclosure is a perfect way to end the day. We look forward to coming back next year.

We've stayed here a few times and each time is great!

We chose to stay at Hermit Crab's Cottage because we wanted to be at the beach for our visit to Savannah. We made the right choice. We enjoyed the quietness of the community while being close enough for a short drive into town. 30 min drive. House was clean and was ready upon arrival. It's only a 15-minute walk of the Tybee Island Light Station which is a must do if on the island. Plenty of good places to eat as well. Note: Not a deal breaker and nothing the owner can do about it but be prepared that the tap water has a really bad sulfur smell. I guess it's a side effect of living next to a marsh.

Very quaint cottage less than 10 minutes to beach access and Jaycee Park with walking trail and other activities. Hosts have everything you need ready to go and labeled, or with instructions. Bed is comfy and place is a nice size for a long weekend. Two small issues, one with the cottage and one with Tybee Island; this is the first place we've stayed that didn't even have basic cable TV. You would think that for the price of rentals that this would be a staple, which it is at every other place. Otherwise the cottage, fenced yard, large oak with shade, and hot tub were great. One note to travelers with pets (that should be on the hosts cottage website), NO DOGS on Tybee beaches. Huge bummer. Beach patrol can rut up the beach, but no dogs, huh? Very nice cottage and great hosts though, We recommend it to travelers, just no basic cable and no dogs on the beach.

This location was great. In walking distance to stores, restaurants, and definitely the beach. This places was like a little oasis. We loved hanging in the back yard with the dogs and it was very quiet. The inside of the house was the perfect size for us and we felt comfortable in the neighborhood. We will definitely return if house is available for the future.

My husband, daughter, 21 month old grandson, 2 small dogs and I stayed in this wonderful vintage cottage. The fenced yard was perfect for my little doggies and my little grandson. The hot tub in the screened porch was a perfect end to a day at the beach. The outdoor shower was wonderful to remove the beach grime. The backyard area and plants made me feel at home! We ate all of our meals except 2 for the entire week at the house. Even without a dishwasher, it was a great little kitchen!

Quiet,local,bike friendly, private close to everything and feels very intimate.

We had the best 8 night getaway. The cottage was perfect for me, my sister and 5 year old son. Literally everything was perfect, quaint, clean, quiet and the hot tub made evenings so fun. The kitchen had all basic spices and cooking essentials. We had a snag with the door lock on our first night and the owners were extremely reponsive, kind and did not make us feel like we were an inconvenince to get the issue resolved, which they did very quickly. I look forward to coming back and would definitely stay in this cottage again. Huge thanks to Dana and Mick!!! Ps, this was our first stay on Tybee island and it was extremely pedestrian friendly, we walked and rode our bikes everywhere (beach, shops, restaurants, liquor store, lighthouse, marine science center, etc).

We had a wonderful stay at Hermit Crab Cottage. The cutest cottage in a fantastic location in the quieter part of Tybee. Mick & Dana were great with communication and Dana was super friendly when we met her. We were some happy hermies when we left ;-)

The cottage was cute and comfortable. The location was great and within walking distance to the beach. Plenty of good restaurants on the north end. We really enjoyed our 2 week stay.

Cozy indoors but the outdoor space makes this place shine. The amenities are excellent; the grill, fire pit, hot tub, and proximity to the beach made it perfect for us. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We got lucky and found some beach equipment to borrow. They had a good variety of pillows for picky people. Owners were responsive and kind. We hope to return. 10/10.

The cottage was so cute and setup nicely. It was in the perfect location…private yet close to everything. The owners provided plenty of information about the island. We had a wonderful time at the Hermit Crab Cottage and are looking forward to returning! ❤️

We have stayed at this cottage two years in a row, and have relished our time there so much! Great location, short walk to the beach and several restaurants, and a half hour drive from all the charms of Savannah. The hosts are terrific. Very nice, and responsive to our questions. The outdoor space is great, with a fenced yard for the pup, fire pit and pleasant South-facing deck. Detached screened porch with hot tub and comfy seating. Can’t recommend highly enough!

This was our 5th trip to Tybee and this cottage was our favorite! The outdoor space is great, the neighborhood is quiet. Everything was top of the line. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed.. Blue tooth stereo system that worked in the house and in the screened in porch. We loved the hot tub and spent a lot of time in the screened in porch.

Hermit Crab's Cottage is a delightful beach cottage on a quiet, well-situated street. The owners have gone out of their way to create a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. They have made sure that the cottage is lovingly prepared to welcome guests and allow for the maximum island experience. My small dog and I travel together, and she loved the safe, beautiful backyard. I highly recommend Hermit Crab's Cottage for travelers who want to enjoy life on wonderful Tybee Island.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. We went into Savannah, Fort Pulaski, Hilton Head. We rented a golf cart and tooled around the island, great fun. It is only 4 block walk to the beach but I was recovering from a broken leg. We ate several places but we ate twice at AJ’s, North Bar and Hucapoos. The house was great, we loved it, our puppies loved the fenced in yard. We would highly recommend this house.
