This is a ovely spot right on the Black River shore and just a short drive to downtown La Crosse and to I-90 to get over to Minnesota. We loved spending mornings in the sunroom overlooking the River. Ben's place is well-equipped, and he is a very responsive and helpful host. We would definitely stay at his place again.

We enjoyed our short getaway in LaCrosse. We woke up on Sunday and saw a great movie and dinner. Then the snow started. We appreciated coming home to a plowed driveway and sidewalk. We knew the snow could happen, but we were safe and cozy in our air b&b. Monday morning things were slush, but we headed out and talked about our delightful time with friends.

We brought my 81-year-old mother to La Crosse (she grew up there) for the rotary lights and fireworks. She has some memory and mobility problems and this house works very well for her to get around in. My husband and I absolutely love having our coffee while looking over the river. Loving the updates that are being done.

Four girlfriends' getaway. The river view was lovely, the Fall colors were just starting and La Crosse was a fun place to explore!

Everything was great with the location, deck and check in. The only complaint is the beds are very uncomfortable an small - pretty sure one is a full and not queen. Would be great to add new mattresses and even make the large bedroom into a King, for those of us whom are used to that size. Overall, we loved it!

We loved just having space to be together. It has such a pretty view.

The best feature of this property--and it is an amazing feature--is the location. The Balck River is beautiful, and this home has wonderful views and access to the river, while also being very close to everything in town. The home is a bit dated, but it is clean, spacious, and comfortable. My two wishes for this home are (1) the beach area was cleaned up so that it could be used for playing and swimming, and (2) the windows would open in the sunroom. Overall, we loved it and will be back again!

This is a very clean and comfortable house on the water. One bedroom is very large and has a wonderful view of the lake. Fun to watch the boats and birds that pass by. The other 2 bedrooms are clean and cozy with ample room. The bathroom is fine with a walk in shower. Kitchen has everything you will need. The screened in porch is comfy and perfect for playing cards, board games, and conversations. The deck is great but it was really hot the weekend we stayed there. This is a must see and the hosts are great. You will not be disappointed in this place.

We had a great week in LaCrosse for the TBF High School Fishing National Championship & World Finals. The location was awesome right next to the tournament take off and weigh in. And the boat slip gave us extra time to sleep in before a long day on the water. My son and his teammate did well and we had to extend our stay as they qualified for an extra day on the water. Ben was a great host and was responsive and accommodating!! We would book this place again in a heartbeat.

What a great place to stay along the river! We were only there for two nights but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I was there with my husband and elderly mother. Sitting on the large deck, watching the river activity, was a great way to decompress. My mom loved sitting out on the deck before breakfast and after dinner working on her knitting or reading a book. The kitchen was well equipped, the house was clean, the location was close to downtown (less than 10 minutes) and quiet, and the view was wonderful. Don't make the mistake we did and forget to bring coffee. Mom and hubby were not happy campers in the morning. LOL!! I'm hoping to get back there either later in the year or next year with my girlfriends. If I can get back to La Crosse before then, I'll definitely be checking out availability of the house.

We had a wonderful stay at the river house on Memorial Day weekend. The location is great, not too far from everything but in a nice quiet neighborhood. We fished from the dock, which was a lot of fun, despite the boat constant boat traffic. The hosts communicated very promptly and were quite gracious.

It was great coming back from the tournament and being able to sit on the deck and be able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful sights!

An awesome waterfront property with amazing views. Everything we were looking for in a vacation home. Great neighborhood and close to restaurants, parks and boat ramps. The house was super clean and our host was very responsive to any questions we had.

Property was described perfectly. Property was very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with pots and pans, utensils and cutting boards. Bedrooms were great and very comfortable beds. The master room is large and a wonderful view of the lake. Outdoor 3 season porch was comfortable and great for playing cards and spending time with family. Too cold to be outside but would love coming in the summer and enjoy more of the river.

Cute property in a wonderful location. The view of the river is wonderful and relaxing. Close to any activity or shop in town, with several suggestions available on the bulletin board and collection of brochures.

Property was very clean/roomy. Great view of river and bluffs. Close to C- store, bait shop and several nice bar/grills. Perfect for our ice fishing group. Back porch area and deck are big and would be great in summer. Would definately return.

Great location with easy access to La Crosse and the surrounding area. Nice deck and dock area for enjoying the outdoors. House is very clean and well kept. Nice view of the river from the main bedroom. Beautiful sunrise views with Bald Eagles, ducks, geese, active in the early morning hours. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the La Crosse area.
