This property is located perfectly if you’re looking to explore a good chunk of Washington! In under 2 hours any direction there’s endless things to do! Sarah was a helpful host and we really enjoyed the hot tub and location on the water!

If you like to get away from the hustle of city dwelling and enjoy nature with all the amenities, this is your place! While neighbors are close in proximity, it is a quiet and peaceful setting. The house is well appointed and cozy. An open back deck with a grill, dining area and hot tub to enjoy the sounds of the river and wildlife. There are chairs in the back yard to enjoy the sights of the river. Mt. Rainier is just a 50 - 60 minute drive, which is also worth exploring. Sarah is very an exception host and willing in going above and beyond to make your stay welcoming and relaxing.

We had a wonderful stay at the River House in Maple Valley. It is in a quiet location but still not too far from where we were going. The murmur of the river has a calming effect and if you want to fully relax the hot tub is the perfect place to do so. We used the house with our two teenagers and felt very comfortable. If we plan to vacation in the area again, we would definitely book with Sarah again.

This was an out of the way gem! You could hear a pin drop during the night. We had our window open. The sound of the river was so relaxing. We even heard elk bugling Even though it’s out of the way place it’s only minutes from major grocery stores, freeways, and restaurants. Host was quick to respond and upbeat. The house is very cute and clean. Appliances and furnishings were very nice. Kitchen stocked well with dishware , condiments , and spices. Bed was very good. We can see how kids would love the upstairs playroom and bedrooms. Staircase steep and tight so bathroom access during the night better to sleep on first floor(it has a bigger bed also). There is no cable so local news isn’t available but there is a big smart tv you can use your accounts to access. I would recommend this home to couples or young families. It’s very charming.

So glad we found this amazing property. It was super clean, good communication from Sarah, and the kitchen well stocked. It’s obvious a lot of love and thought went into this property. We fell asleep listening to the river from the crows nest bedroom. The neighborhood is super quiet with wild elk eating dinner at dusk. Hard to imagine it’s super close to a big city.

The River House in Maple Valley is a fabulous sanctuary. The home is well-appointed with all of the necessary amenities, and the barbecue was a sweet plus. Beds were cozy and pillows also, which I am particular about. That said, the Cedar River is the gift of this property. Herons, Canada Geese, a Kingfisher, and a Bald Eagle were the large birds spotted along with many songbirds. When you open the windows at night, the river song sings you to sleep. I would love the luxury of a month at this place.

Sarah was extremely helpful and informative throughout the entire booking process, the property is absolutely perfect! The interior was clean and beautifully designed, private enchanting backyard with string lighting and a hot tub, and all the amenities one could need to make for a perfect stay. Thank you, Bryan

Beautiful property, stunning views of Seattle nature, the location gives you a restful get away from daily life, and it's also an easy drive to Seattle or Tacoma. The property owner is really nice and communicative with easy to follow/execute check in/out instructions. My family of 4 had a wonderful time at The River House. We stayed 7 nights and it was the perfect place to call home each night after visiting with family. The loft had the most amazing view and the kids loved having their own space upstairs. We enjoyed looking at all the pretty rocks on the private beach by the river and hanging in the hot tub on a chilly night. Sarah was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make the stay perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better stay or host. Thank you so much!

We picked this spot out for our honeymoon and we're absolutely BLOWN away. Before we even stepped foot on the property, Sarah was incredibly communicative and friendly! Now onto the property: BEAUTIFUL! The surrounding area and river was just too perfect. The hot tub was just.....drool. We got in several times every day, and then would curl up on the couch and warm ourselves in front of the fireplace. We didn't really need to keep the house warm as the temp outside didn't really dip below 50 - a welcome circumstance for us Texans - but we did play with the baseboard heaters (novel for us) and they definitely worked nicely! Bedroom was comfy! We slept super well the entire time we were there - the area was very quiet! All in all, this spot was a true gem and Sarah was an incredibly friendly, welcoming, and gracious host. Your cash will be well spent, and we DEFINITELY will be returning!

Everything about are stay was fantastic! Sarah has thought of everything, and she is a friendly and responsive host. This is the perfect getaway… quiet and serene with easy access to to Issaquah, Seattle and Sea-tac. Our daughter loved the loft bedroom and we all enjoyed some retro gaming on the Pac-Man game. The hot tub was clean and the perfect temperature. Would definitely return when in the PNW.

Everything we needed was available. the sound of the river was amazing. walking and biking nearby was excellent. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

We traveled from London to enjoy a two-week stay at The River House, and we fell in love with our home away from home. After spending our days hiking, wine tasting, or exploring Seattle, we retreated to The River House for an evening of serenity by the river, grilled food on the patio, or drinks in the hot tub. The house was clean, organised, and stocked with essentials. Sarah was very friendly and helpful, and she made the experience simple and straightforward. We would definitely return!

Clean, nicely decorated. Fire pit by river was fun in evenings. Pacman game in family room was great fun. I recommend the "River House"! Sarah, answered my texts immediately. Sarah is a 5 star host!!

We had a great stay at The River House. The weather was exceptionally hot while we were there and we absolutely loved hanging out by and swimming in the river. The house itself was clean and had everything we needed. We’ll be back!

Enjoyed our stay here. Lovely inside & out. Spiral stairs & loft sleeping area not for those with mobility issues, but main floor has everything you need. I only wish the weather had been better so we could have enjoyed the large outside areas.

My best friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The River House. It is a beautifully decorated, clean, peaceful, and relaxing place to stay, overlooking the river. We loved the layout and decor of this property. Sarah was a wonderful and very responsive host. The River House had all the amenities one could wish for, including some snacks which were a welcome treat after a long day of travel. We loved our time on the upper floor and loved being able to sleep up there with the window open, and take in all the fresh air and sounds of the flowing river. The fireplace was beautiful and we loved the hot tub on a cool crisp night. The spiral staircase added a unique touch to to this property.

Amazing host, communicative, helpful and so nice! Beautiful property - clean, updated, cozy little cabin with gorgeous scenery. So peaceful and relaxing. The feeling of total seclusion while still close to everything.

I brought my 17 y/o son here on spring break. After the hustle and bustle of normal life back home and a couple days in downtown Seattle it was exactly what we needed. Every detail of the house is perfect! Comfy beds, cozy heaters, modern decor, nice hot shower, fully stocked laundry room and an amazing hot tub with a great view! I slept in the top floor with my window open and loved the sound of the river all night. Waking up and looking out the big windows filled my soul with nature! Exactly what I needed on a break from real life. My son and I watched movies and just enjoyed the quietness of the house and surroundings. There is plenty of parking! Very close to "downtown" Maple Valley with some food places and a great pizza place just down the road. Plenty of parking, easy to get to! And Sarah was very responsive to the couple of questions I had and with check-in instructions. Highly recommend.

The River House is an amazingly clean and cozy getaway. Super comfy fireplace, beds, and really everything! There's awesome amenities like a well outfitted kitchen, Pac Man game, and riverside back deck. And although there are several nice flat screen TV's, we never felt the need to turn them on. Beautiful PNW views out the windows, and a very quiet location. Nothing but the sound of the rain and the river. Perfect retreat to recharge away while still being close to town. Sarah is a fantastic and thoughtful host! And made sure our short notice stay was amazing, and everything we hoped it would be. 10/10! Will most definitely stay again!
