Our stay at Brookside Cottage was both relaxing and enjoyable. From the gorgeous views of the lake to the comfortable decor and furnishings, the property did not disappoint. Many hours were spent relaxing in the lake and on the dock. We are already looking for another occasion to come back.

We rented the house for a week and tied up our boat. When not on the water, we spent our time on the porch overlooking the water, at the fire pit and inside the game room. We had everything in the kitchen we needed to cook breakfast and a few dinners. It was a major plus that the house came with so many lake towels. Hosts were speedy with replies to questions.

This was our first time to Lake Norman and will not be our last. Our family of five had one of our best vacations to date. Peaceful, clean, and safe. We enjoyed having dinner on the beautiful deck with a gorgeous view of the lake, taking the kayaks within the cove, and fishing off of the pier. Great memories were made!

We come down for the Coca-Cola 600 every year. We had a great weekend. The place was amazing! Lots of fishing, kayaking, sitting around the fire at night. The game room was a lot of fun as well. So many things to choose from. Thanks for another year of so many fantastic memories!!

The property and its location were great. The view of the lake was amazing. There were a lot of things to do in the area too. The downstairs 3/4 bath is very small though if very many people are staying there.
The description of amenities said there was a hot tub and that one refrigerator had an ice maker. There was neither.

My husband & I rented the house for our son’s Davidson graduation. We had family from Virginia and Pennsylvania join us for 4 perfect nights. The weather was amazing, the views stunning, and the house was comfortable, well equipped, and beautifully appointed! This was our first time staying on the lake and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We especially loved having access to the kayak’s and floats. We swam and lounged in between graduation festivities - a perfect way to celebrate. Thank you!

My daughter and I stayed there for Thanksgiving. It was too cold for water activities, but we had a blast in the game room playing pool, ping pong, and arcade games. The view of the lake was wonderful. The kitchen was well supplied so we had a great Thanksgiving meal. We will definitely book again in the summer!

Needed a place to stay for granddaughters wedding and we hit the jackpot. The view is amazing especially at sunset. Loved the comfortable beds and the basket of soft throws to curl up in to watch the sunsets. The game room was a big hit! The owners made sure all was good and were available if we needed anything. We will be back!

We had such a great time at Lake Norman. We were greeted with a sweet anniversary card when we arrived. The home was beautiful and clean, and had everything we wanted. We fished, played pool, and relaxed. The weather was gorgeous! Can't wait to go back and maybe take the grandkids!

Our son moved to North Carolina for work and three years later he married his southern belle. We traveled from Northern MI for the wedding festivities and Shana's place was the perfect home away from home for us. We had 6 adults(2- 17 yr olds) staying in the house and had plenty of room to roam. The game room was a bit and the house was so beautiful in the fall, on the lake and we couldn't be happier with the accommodations. Knowing our son is here for good, we hope to stay in Shana's place for future visits. You will not be disappointed! Highly recommend

This home is everything we could ask for and more. The view was beautiful, accommodations welcoming and had everything one could need for a restful and fun vacation. My teens especially loved the game room and kayaking. I loved the porch with a good cup of coffee and a book!

We came to town for our son’s wedding. The groom wanted to spend time with his groomsmen and family before his big day. We enjoy the outdoors so why not Lake Norman. We used the dock, boathouse, fire pit and spacious decks. Most of us have never been to the lake itself. Upon arriving we fell in love with this lakeside cabin. We were surprised with all the room, the surprise game room. The hostess was very helpful when we had one issue and contacted a neighbor for us. We didn’t want to leave. We had 8-9 people here and had room to spread out. The owners are continually upgrading the property as they have time. All instructions were sent by text on the day of arrival. We had a great time and want to come back as soon as we are able.

Very pretty location on Lake Norman. Quiet with spectacular views of the lake. Beautiful sunrises. Home was spacious and very comfortable. Beds were like sleeping on clouds - so comfy!! Lots of water toys available and seating outdoors to enjoy the serene and lovely view. Definitely would come back!!!

The house was very nice. Had everything we needed. Everyone was on deck, lake or riding the boat. Would rent again. Owner responded quickly if had any questions.

Our family had a great time at the Brookside Cottage The home was beautifully decorated. Shana was quick to respond to my text messages. The public boat ramp was close to the house. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare our family meals. The game room in the garage was a nice touch for rainy days. We spent our days cruising the lake and our evenings on the back deck. We can't wait to come back to Lake Norman next year.

Brookside Cottage was the perfect location on Lake Norman. It had a nice view of the lake, but it was tucked away on the cove a little, so it was quiet and peaceful. We have older kids, and they loved having the lower level to themselves. The game room in the garage was a nice surprise, and the kids spent a lot of time playing pool and ping pong. We spent several days hanging out at the house and playing on the lake. It was also a close drive to lots of other activities in the area. The furniture was very comfortable and we all slept well! Shana was very kind and great at communicating information we needed to access the house. It was a great week and we would love to visit again!

We had a great stay at the lake house. The house was very clean and we had a blast using the kayaks and other supplied water gear. We caught lots of fish off the dock including some large blue catfish! The kids loved the game room in the garage and we had fun competing in classic video games! Overall was a great time and would recommend this house to others who are looking for a quiet lake house vacation!

The location was beautiful. The hosts did a great job of communicating with us. The house lived up to all expectations. Everything was very clean, no drawback here at all. Our whole family had a great time here. The hosts were very welcoming, there were a lot of nice touches throughout the house. We will definitely be back!!

We simply loved this lake house. The game room was amazing. We played pool, ping pong and classic video games. Loved the dock and boat house. The views were fantastic of the lake and surrounding area. The beds were comfortable and the room’s spacious. The kitchen had everything needed to enjoy our stay. Shana was very attentive to any of our requests. Thanks a million!

Absolutely beautiful view, incredibly quiet, comfortable and relaxing. The only thing I would do different, I would rent a boat for the week.

Property is awesome, beautiful location on the lake. House was super clean and beds were very comfortable. The house has lots of space and some cool games for entertainment. Owners are awesome to work with, we will be planning another stay maybe in the summer. Thanks for allowing us to stay.

This home is impressive with views that are breathtaking. The decor is very nice and the interior is clean and cozy. Four teacher friends and I spent a long weekend reconnecting and this home allowed us to do just that. The living area is warm with its gas fireplace and the kitchen offered enough space for us to cook and socialize. We were very pleased with our accommodations here and look forward to returning to Lake Norman next year. I highly recommend this property.
Working with Shana, the property owner was delightful. She was very attentive, thorough in her communication, and willing to help in any way. This property would make a great get away destination any time of the year.

This was a comfortable cozy bungalow that served its purpose for our Thanksgiving family getaway. Cozy being the operative word. I deferred the upper King bedroom for my elder in-laws putting me and my wife in the basement. I am a medium build guy and struggled to move around in the bathroom. Anybody over 6’ or 220 lbs probably won’t fit. The same goes for the 1/2 bath on the main level. Additionally, the adults agreed that the beds were to soft.
All in all, the bungalow served us well. The views were amazing, the street was quiet and the little touches that the owners added were very nice.

Whole house well stocked, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, paper towels, some spices, salt, pepper, canoe, kayaks, life vests. The list goes on and on. Nice neighborhood, beautiful yard with lots of pretty plants.
The downstairs was a bit noisy when the air conditioner is used. Very loud in the large bedroom.
Didn't get to use the water vehicles, too cool and windy, but they were available. Played pool and games and watched the leaves turn :)

This is our second time staying in this charming lake house with amazing lake views. This was the perfect weekend getaway spot. House clean and cozy with comfortable king sized beds. There were four adults with room for more. Boathouse was equipped with kayaks, life jackets and floats. Spacious outside deck with covered eating area. Wonderful place for a quiet, peaceful getaway! Would definitely recommend.
