We had a great time. The house was pleasant. House cleaners were there upon our 4pm arrival. Their car made it difficult for us to park and we waited about 20 minutes. We’re a pretty positive bunch and it did not bother us. The hot tub was hot on arrival as well. The water was cloudy. This is not uncommon when tubs are chemically maintained and our group was super chill about it. 5 out of 5 will rent again :)

We always enjoy Arch Cape. This home is lovely, perfect views of the ocean. Direct access to beach but bottom stair is a several foot drop to the beach. Alternate access a few doors down is easier to manage.

Everything you need, plus a hot tub. Many bedrooms and stocked kitchen. Freezer door was jammed but otherwise all was great.

We escaped Portland area snow/ice/poweroutages and relaxed at Big Kahuna! Ocean views for miles! A couple rain breaks to allow for beach walks. Visiting Elk! Great vacation style house. Hosts were great communicators. We hope to return again!! B&K

I arrived at night. A little hard to find but when we arrived there was plenty of parking. loved all the different rooms. We got to watch a cool lightning storm through the big windows and the sound of the ocean so close and perfect. As soon as daylight came, we couldn't wait to go right down stairs to the ocean and find shells and be up close and personal. It was a very lovely and spacious house on the the beach with a amazing view. The only 1 thing I wish there was more of was warm blankets but besides that, it was great. Definitely will be back.

Stunning view from the large living area and the deck. The place had comfortable seating and sleeping for our group of 6. The hot tub was great, too. We were able to view the ocean during the day and star gaze at night.

The location of this property cannot be beat! It is just as beautiful as the picture show and the communication with the property manager is top notch. The only constructive feedback I would have is that they were kind of a lot of toys laying around in the front yard and some dog toys in the living room but other than that we would love to stay there again. Our group of 10 was very comfortable.

Seven adult females came down to celebrate my mom‘s 75th birthday, and we absolutely loved the house! The rooms were clean. The house was exactly as described, we enjoyed the tea, hot tub… The only recommendation I would make is I think you need a new coffee pot? It took forever for it to brew a pot… In the description you might want to add that the coffee filters are there and it takes ground coffee… Also, the portable fan was extremely dusty and we could not use it one of the rooms… We had an issue with the heater, which was promptly resolved, and the property manager could not have been more hospitable… We would definitely rent again!

We loved our stay the view was amazing loved all windows. Home is very comfortable we would do it again.

Very private yet close enough to everything!

My family had a great time! The Big Kahuna was just what we needed for a private getaway! It was clean and inviting and we were able to really relax and enjoy each other's company and the beautiful surroundings. The views were beautiful. The beach walks were a delight. Will definitely stay again!

Beautiful home with picture perfect window views! Beach access was great! Note: there was a 3ft drop off the stairs onto the rocks before getting to sand, but there is public beach access a few doors down that can be used as well. Home gave plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. Home owner very helpful to our questions/needs. Already planning next years trip!

Really enjoyed our stay. House has a wonderful spacious layout. Loved all the seating in front of the windows. 3 bathrooms were so helpful for our group. House is well stocked. Recommend slippers since floor is hardwood and no rugs. Private beach access is so convenient!! - last step is a bit of a drop for my 68yo parents but with help they managed it. Would definitely stay again. Very nice home!

If you are even thinking of staying at this home just book it now. We stayed here with our extended family and it was perfect. The location is great with stunning views from the windows along the front of the house. Fully stocked kitchen with outdoor grill for making family dinners. All of the beds are comfy and have plenty of bedding. The owners have anticipated every need.

Excellent place for our large family. Plenty of space and gorgeous views. Nicely appointed kitchen and close to other little towns.

We loved the view and just steps away from the beach. It was raining with some breaks. We worked on the puzzles and walked along the beach when the rain stopped.

Enjoyed the facility and the beach

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at this lovely home with a private stairway down to the beach! The views from all the giant windows across the west side of the house are fabulous. We loved seeing the birds especially the pelicans! The kitchen was wonderfully stocked with lots of pots, pans, glassware, etc. We used the knife sharpen in the drawer and had no difficulties with knives. Communication with Sebastian was easy through the website & we were able to find out they don't have a large soup pot, so we brought our own. There were 6 of us: family and 1 friend including my 97 year old mother with an injured ankle and 96 year old father. the house is all on one level and it worked well for mom's small wheelchair and the 5 bedrooms allowed for lots of privacy. The living room was spacious and we loved the comfortable couches and The beds were very comfortable for those who like memory foam. (My husband and our friend in the kids style bedroom thought the mattresses were less comfortable) Sebastian was great and immediately responsive when we had user difficulty with the TV system. The house was SUPER clean and comfortable! We did find some dirty silverware and dishes but we just put them in the dishwasher before using. We were told that you must use the dishwasher just right so probably someone put them away not noticing they hadn't gotten clean. My sister and I were the only ones who got in the hot tub, but it was luxurious with a view of the ocean and we really enjoyed it! The cost was a bit pricey, but it is a lovely home that we would certainly consider again. I highly recommend!

Such a beautiful house on the ocean in Arch Cape. We had such a great time. So close to town and yet private. All of us had plenty of room and were very comfortable. Thanks Sebastian for sharing your lovely home!

This house accommodated all 8 of us adults comfortably. The views were amazing and practically lived on the beautiful deck...the only thing to mention is the freezer drawer only opened about 3 inches so very difficult to get ice for all the cocktails we had! Owner did try to get someone out to look at it. All in all was the best 92nd bday family get together for our mom ever!

Stayed with 8 adults for 2 nights. Home was very much as advertised & pictured. A bit small kitchen/eating area, but family room was very large. Lots of time on the deck and beach enjoying the views and sounds of the Pacific. Home was overall clean, floors were a bit sticky/dirtied some socks quickly but everything else was clean and well organized. Quick car ride into Canon Beach for restaurants, food, drinks & shopping. Good hikes nearby and the beach offers lots of walking miles.

Charming oceanfront house, beautiful location....will be back !

A beautiful property with great access to the best of the Oregon Coast. This has room for everyone to have some privacy in their own bedroom and come together in usable well furnished gathering areas. The view of the Ocean from the deck and the main house are wide open. The kitchen is well furnished and the beds are comfortable. Our family enjoyed every moment and made some wonderful memories while there. Yes it is expensive but I felt it was worth it!

The location of the property is perfect. It is in a closely packed waterfront neighborhood but the sound of the ocean and the abundant landscaping make it feel very private. The fully fenced yard overlooking the beach below is small but perfect for children or pets. The stairs leading to the beach are well maintained and quite easy for everyone in our group to navigate. The last step is a bit of a drop and would not be easy for less agile folks. The home is much larger than it seems from the exterior. There are 5 good size bedrooms with comfortable mattresses, pillows and down comforters. The living room is a good size with comfortable furniture, enough for seating 10 people and the views of the ocean are spectacular. The dining space is a bit cramped for 10 people but the outdoor eating space has more room, a propane heater would be a nice addition to the outdoor dining space. The hot tub was clean and well maintained, not luxurious but clean. The bathrooms were well stocked with towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer. The kitchen had everything we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to book another stay at the Big Kahuna.

My sub-par review is solely based on a very poor cleaning crew prior to our entering the home. The house itself is positioned perfectly on the ocean for full panoramic views, private beach access and a layout to maximize view at all gathering locations. The home also has thoughtful accessories to host a family and medium-high quality furnishings. Unfortunately, the owner and host are being penalized for a very poor cleaning experience, just as our stay was. My family was left with someone else’s hair and crumbs scattered throughout the home, dirty windows, counter tops and bed sheets to sort through - despot the fact that we even arrived 1hr 45 minutes after the 4pm check in time due to car trouble on the way in. When we arrived at the home the cleaning lady was still there at 5:45pm and asked if she could take a 30 min break and come back to finish, at which point we told her we’d handle it so we could prepare dinner and get our exhausted 2 and 4yr old off to bed after a long days drive - the last thing we wanted was a stranger cleaning around us after 7hrs and a tow truck. The host tried to reconcile the matter by waiving the cleaning fee, but at a luxury per night rate, waiting the cleaning fee alone just didn’t reconcile the totality of our negative experience. We spent a material portion of our 4 night stay cleaning someone else’s filth and not feeling comfortable utilizing all of the amenities we paid for, like the uncharged hot tub, dirty sheets in the master bedroom and having to ignore the dirty windows as we gazed through them to the fantastic views of the ocean - the view is kind of the entire point of an ocean vacation right? The host was very nice, responsive and did his best to say all the right things, but you can’t charge 4 seasons prices and deliver motel 6 quality cleanliness or worse (dog poop on the sheets?). We are fortunate we didn’t get sick and should have had our nightly rate discounted to reflect our personal time cleaning, unusable spaces and late cleaner eating into our stay. All that being said, I’d give this house another try due to all the positives I’ve mentioned, the host doing more to make it right and some assurances that the cleaning QC process has been resolved. This house could be a 5 star property, but at this price point you gotta perform.

Good experience, clean property, well stocked. Good beach access unless anyone has mobility issues navigating the staircase to the beach. Great view from the house, deck and backyard.

Property is beautiful they advertise the hot tub but it doesn’t work maybe one jet half way, house is very well stocked and decor and layout the owners did a great job. They should check their cleaning service dirty silverware ,pans in the toaster food on them…the bath tub had long black hairs left on walls and tubs no one in our party has black hair….fan in bathroom sounds like a jet engine is taking off…pretty much think maybe there service that maintans the property should let the owners know Happy 4th our family loved the beach!!!!

Great home with modern decor. Breathtaking views. We love to cook and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to create our gourmet dinners, minus the food :) We hope to go back again soon!
