Owners were very accommodating, and very easy to reach and communicate with . House was very clean close to the attractions we were coming to see. I’m also glad they had a box fan at the property so we did not have to bring ours.

I took my mother and brother for a short get away to relax and have some fun. We had the best time the property was amazing very clean the neighbors were friendly we will be back

My husband and I stayed for a month in this beautiful home away from home. We had high hopes, having driven by the property while visiting Homosassa last year, and it was even better than we imagined. Location, location, location! The house is in the perfect spot in Old Homosassa, walking distance to favorites (Florida Cracker Kitchen, the Freezer, the Shed/McCrae's) and right on a canal leading you to the all the wonderful highlights of the Homosassa River. Such a treat to be able to walk to lunch, dinner, a drink, music. The wonderful surprise was the wildlife in the backyard of this house -- daily visits by great blue heron and great egret. And a manatee swam up the seawall, nibbling awhile, raising its head. It was an amazing experience! Shannon was the perfect host! So responsive, and so welcoming. The TLC was evident everywhere in the home, and we loved our stay. We cannot wait to return next year! The house is comfortable and beautifully decorated.

Very clean, comfy cottage right on the canal. We weren’t there long but we’re able to take a kayak out to explore for a couple hours. Owner very welcoming and helpful.

This cottage has everything you need for a nice stay in Homassassa! Communication was seemless with the owner. The location is ideal & close to everything, but you feel like you are away from it all.

Amazing!!! That’s the only way to describe this property and owners. Had a hiccup with getting into the place but solved in less then 5 mins because of the quick response from the owner :) Property actually exceeded our expectations…. Kids were excited to sleep in their own beds after 2 weeks of sharing beds lol. Will definitely be back!

Charming and lovely property nestled in Homosassa, was much bigger inside than the exterior would lead you to believe. Well put together and owners were very receptive to questions and making our stay that much further above and beyond. Will return again!

Although it rained the entire weekend we enjoyed our stay greatly. With a family event just around the corner it was the perfect location, and near McRea's and Florida Cracker. The place was decorated for the season with lights and all amenities were available.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lets Live Now Cottage… every detail was thought of and Shannon and her family were wonderful hosts. It’s a very peaceful neighborhood, and a darling and immaculately cared for piece of property on the river. My coffee tasted so much better in the morning on the porch enjoying nature out by the canal. The kayaks included in the rental were also a fantastic touch. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time and got some much needed relaxation during our stay. We will definitely be back again! Thank you Shannon and family!

This home was the cleanest and best decorated of all the houses we had looked at. From spices to paper towels to garbage bags there was no need to immediately run to the grocery store to stock up on items you would be forced to throw away because you couldn’t take them home on an airplane. Although we wished the lanai were bigger, we found ourselves there every morning and evening listening to the fish jump in the canal. Also it was perfectly situated for us and our small fishing boat. Not only was there ample parking in front but an aluminum shelter was just right to protect the boat from tree debri and sun. The home is close to 3 major rivers and several small gulf beaches, as well as The Homossasa Wildlife Park and numerous parks and trails. With super comfy beds and a spacious master bathroom, this place fit our every need ( although at times I did wish for a dishwasher,) we would recommend it as a terrific vacation spot,!

Wonderfully decorated and cozy cottage, very roomy for inside. Screened porch comply space to watch canal. Great BBQ area. Mostly we spent time in the kayaks exploring all the common, and some of the less one en areas are f the Homosassa river and tributaries. The bike option would be cool to try even though we ran out of time. Shannon, the host is a great source of ideas on if you don’t know the area :)

Great Property

This cottage was extremely comfortable and convenient. The location and neighborhood were private and located perfectly for us to travel north and south. The Fort de Soto beaches, Crystal River manatees and Rainbow Springs park were all easy drives. Lots of delicious restaurants in the area. I appreciated the small touches that helped us feel welcome within the cottage (which felt like a home), and the attentiveness of the host to our comfort. We had our own kayaks but we used their bikes to explore and we took our boats out into the canal to open water (from the backyard!). We will stay here again! Lots of space for more guests than just us two!
