Beautiful property and great fishing

Exceptionally well maintained and private. House is tastefully decorated, very comfortable and has everything you need plus so much more! Only thing you need to bring is your personal belongings, food and your fishing gear. Oh and binoculars if you enjoy wildlife because there is plenty to see! This was our 2nd visit and although the lake water was down, the fishing was still good. Largest catch of the weekend was a 10 1/2 pound cat which we threw back so it’s there waiting for you to catch! This is one you’ll want to go back to over and over again!

Lakeside Ranch is one of a kind!! I can’t wait to come back again soon. I hope to this summer or fall. The fishing is second to none, the house is perfect and the privacy is the best! Thank you Teresa, Paul, Derek and Mark for sharing this amazing place! We had a blast

There are too many great things to say about the hosts and the property. This was our second time to stay here, enjoying it so much our first trip. The property is gorgeous, the house is so welcoming, with every little detail taken into account for your stay. The owners are such good people, very informative, and very respectful and only wanting the best for your time on the property. The fishing was again, unbelievable. This visit, we literally caught over 300 fish!! Best bass fishing in Kansas as far as I’m concerned. Thank you again for such a great property for a family to enjoy! I highly recommend this Lakeside Paradise to anyone looking!

Everything we expected and so much more!! The fishing was fantastic! The home is perfect for a family or group and is so clean and organized with every little detail taken into account for a stay on the lake. The pictures of the home do not do it justice. You have to see it to truly appreciate all the work that has been put into the property. You feel so welcome from the time you make the reservation, until the moment you check out, and trust me, it was so hard to leave. The owners have made this experience for my family and I one to remember. True hospitality at its best in the great state of Kansas! We are already planning our next stay here at the lake house! I strongly recommend this home/property to anyone who wants to truly enjoy each and every aspect of their vacation. You will not be let down and will be so happy you chose this place for your getaway!

My family and I had a great time. We stayed in Kansas as my son is a student at McPherson College. We had a great time with him and his friends. This is by far the nicest property we have stayed at in the past year.

Was looking for a few days of R&R and found it on this beautiful property! Host was very gracious and communicated in a clear, concise and courteous manner.

I surprised my fiancé with a weekend at Lakeside Ranch for his birthday. It was a perfect escape from the city. Rolled in with enough time to unload the kayaks and fish while the sun set. The water on the lake was really low which made navigating challenging in a pedal kayak. It was also extremely windy which was not fun. BUT, we caught enough bass to make the weekend enjoyable (including my PB). The property was flat enough to easily get a truck and trailer right down to the water. We could stream our favorite games and shows in the evening after watching the sun set from the deck. House was well stocked and we felt right at home.

This was by far our favorite VRBO! The host went above and beyond and the property is so much more than advertised! The Boat and kayaks were so much fun. Fishing was great! House was well stocked and clean!!! Thank you we can’t wait to come again.

Second wonderful time I have been blessed to stay here. Whether you’re looking for privacy or just a place to relax and do some fishing this is the place for it. Just amazing accommodations.

We have stayed at several different private lakes/cabins over the years, and they will typically be really nice places, or really good fishing - but this location is without a doubt the best of both. We sent pictures home to family on the second day of our stay and they are already asking for a link to the VRBO listing so they can plan a trip. Went into Howard to pick up a couple of items and met some very friendly and helpful folks. Can't wait to go back!!

If you're looking for a private place to just hang out with your family or friends, this is the perfect place. Everything you could possibly need was there waiting for you. It was exactly as advertised, and then some. Paul was awesome to deal with, the cabin was really comfortable. We're more "indoorsy" than most people that probably stay here, but even without taking advantage of all the "outdoorsy" offerings we had such a great time. Would highly recommend it to anyone!!

The cabin and property are perfect. Peaceful, relaxing and well stocked. Owners are very accommodating and very quick to respond. We will definitely stay here again.

The cabin is very nice and the experience is first class . Everything is first class including the bass fishing. I have been trying to find a place like this for years . If you like bass fishing and want to stay at a cabin on the lake; this is it . It would also be a great place for a family. This is Mecca for anyone that likes the outdoors. Also Cookson’s True Value Hardware store is located in Howard Ks .The store is old school with old hardwood floors and fishing equipment if you need it. Also the owners are very responsive and want to make sure that you have a positive experience. We will be back !!!

Our Freinds and family loved staying at Lakeside Ranch. We had a really good time boating and fishing at the lake (caught tons of fish). Lakeside Cabin was really clean and equipped with basic amenities. The owner was prompt to reply to any questions we had. Overall, a great place to have fun with friends and families. Will recommend Lakeside ranch to friends and families.

Great location with amazing views and water access. We loved being able to enjoy our family reunion and have comfortable lodging in Howard! Look forward to coming back soon.

What a great place! Paul and Mark are wonderful hosts. The location is remote but easy to get to. The home is stocked with absolutely everything you need to have an enjoyable stay and the fishing is top notch. We will definitely be coming back.

Very nice lake property, If privacy is what you’re after this is it! The house is well stocked and very clean and comfortable, lake is awesome. Paul is a very accommodating host and quick to respond to any issues that arise. We will be returning in the future.

Family get away was one for the books at this cabin. Completely serene, great fishing, excellent views especially at night! 1000s of stars and lightning bugs. Paul was very accommodating with a boat and trolling motor as well as a fully stocked kitchen. The kids really enjoyed the smores and catching several great big catfish. We will be back to have more fun. If your looking for privacy and a great time you won't miss out here.

We loved our stay at this beautiful location. The owner was very prompt to answer all our questions and accommodating to our needs. Very quiet and beautiful location. This place has exceeded our expectations and so much more. The boys took advantage of using the kayaks and boat house while us girls soaked in the quiet and relaxing sun. The owner and step son helped us with no complaints. We will definitely be back.

My brother and I have been planning a fishing trip with our sons for a while and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. The cabin was comfortable with all the comforts of home. The property is gated and private. The owners brought out some kayaks for the older boys and we had a great time paddling around the 100+ acre lake. We caught dozens of 4-6lb bass and several 8-10lb catfish. If you want seclusion and some of the best bass fishing around this is the ideal spot. We will be making this an annual fishing trip!

We stayed for two days and had the best experience possible. Brought some family in from out of town and they enjoyed every minute of our stay. Fished for two days and had a great time. Mark was more than a guide he was also a great host and a great cook. Had lunch on the boat and shared a lot of knowledge about fishing and the history of the property. Could not have asked for any better hospitality and look forward to our next stay.

Great experience! This is a great place to have a planned event with a small group. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. We were looking for a relaxing weekend to hangout, enjoy nature, and shoot some guns. We booked the stay in January for the end of February. The week before our stay it appeared the weather was not going to cooperate, so I reached out to the host to see what our options were if the weather was bad. He was very understanding and was willing to move us to the next week for better weather. His flexibility and friendliness took away the stress off of trying to coordinate with the weather. Overall amazing experience and will definitely visit again!
