Karen was so kind and accommodating! We enjoyed our stay and the home was at a perfect location close to everything. The house was so roomy and there was plenty of space for a big family. Thank you to Karen for answering all my questions and being so patient! We will definitely be back and recommend this home to our family and friends.

The home is great for a large group, especially if you are bringing children, and in a nice location. The owner was extremely responsive as well. I would say it was a 5 star stay except for the fact that the main level doesn’t have central heat, and we were never able to get the main living area and master bedroom’s heat to work properly, so we had to use space heaters. The owner was responsive in trying to work us through how to make it work but it just never consistently operated and we were only in town for 2 nights.

We had an amazing family trip with our kids and grandkids and the home was perfect for our trip. Loaded with amenities. The game room was fun for all ages. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for meal prep, even a professional style grill that makes great flapjacks 😊. Will definitely return next year for more snow fun and family time.

Had a large group with multiple families together for Thanksgiving. The home is perfect with several floors/suites/bathrooms that allow for privacy along with a huge modern kitchen and dining area for meals and entertaining. The game room with the large round table was great for board/card games along with the big TV and Xbox for the kids. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet with a short walk to the lakeshore across the street. Our dog loved it as well. Great walks with minimal traffic and amazing views of the mountains and lake. We highly recommend this house for a large group and will visit again!

This place has it all and was perfect for our get together of 14 adults. The owner and property manager are super friendly and respond fast to everything. Definitely recommend this cabin in the woods!

My sisters’ families and my family (party of 16 - 8 adults, 8 kids ranging from 9-15 years old) stayed comfortably in the cabin. We had an amazing time! Clean, spacious cabin that is a very close walk to the lake. We kayaked and paddle boarded, and being a close drive to the village, we visited the shops and enjoyed ice cream in town. We used the kitchen and outside patio area to make meals, play games, and relax. Plenty of plates, silverware, towels, bathrooms, and amenities for all 16 of use to feel comfortable and at home. We also appreciated the little extras, like having shampoo and soap available in all the bathrooms, plus coffee pods and creamers, which was such a sweet and welcomed extra! Having an upstairs lounge area, decked out game room in the garage, outside deck, and downstairs video game/movie area, we spread out and everyone had something to do at all times. I highly recommend this cabin and location for your next getaway.

The listing described it to a tee. Clean & well maintained with plenty of room for all. Everyone had a great time & the Host is a Pro. Had a few questions prior to making the trip & she responded very quickly. Always nice to pick a place that everyone loved. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood a plus. Look forward to doing it again.

We went to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with our kids and grandkids. The lodge was beautifully decorated, and very welcoming. The extra things, like coffee pods, creamer and even a candy jar for our grands was an added bonus. The beds were all super comfy with great bedding. Even the towels were extra plush. The bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Very nice! The space was so nice for our family of 12. Beds for all. The game room was so fun for all of us. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed. Very well equipped. I highly recommend this lodge for any large group.

This was a great place for our stay at Big Bear. Plenty of space for our group of 11 people. Everything pretty much as listed. Some nice amenities (nice to have to coffee provided), game room, fire pit, etc. Owner very responsive.

What a warm and lovely home in a great location near the lake. I gave this stay 5 stars for the following reasons - Firstly, thank you for making the check in process super easy. I made the mistake of not finding the check in book till after I sent a few texts, sorry - everything was really answered in there. The location was close to everything, even had a hill nearby that the kids used to sled down. The beds, the sheets and pillows were comfy, the rooms warm once you got the fireplaces going. There was 3 shovels in there which had we not had might not have ever been able to leave. I am keeping this home on my favorites list - the entire family loved it and the owners have seemingly thought of everything you may need! One note is that there is only 1 bedroom with the futon and not two - there is although a TWIN mattress in one of the bedroom closets - we made it work. All was great!

We had a great experience here at the lodge. The only down fall was the check in process. I could not get a hold of the person to get the code from to get into the cabin and the city person we had to check in with was no longer managing the property but they had him listed as the person to meet at the property. The cabin was clean but noted a few ants on the dinner table. Overall, our stay was a good experience.

Wow! If I could rate our experience with a 10, I would. Lake Lodge was everything the site showed and more. This was the 1st experience of a new tradition for our family and if able, we will spend a weekend at Lake Lodge every year. I visited with other half, my 86 year old Mom, 2 daughters and 2 sons in law and 4 grand kiddos between 1-5 years old. The property was absolutely stunning, well cared for and offered so much. The coffee bar was fully stocked, a refrigerator that was clean and even contained coffee creamer and condiments (maybe from previous guests), a pantry with some essentials and spices to incredible living areas, each with a TV, Alexa speaker and fireplace for all, made this trip an amazing time. While we all congregated on the main floor to play games, visit, listen to music and share meals, each family had sleeping quarters of their own and/or a place to retreat for some self meditation, rest or relaxation. I could go on and on about how wonderful the property is but I also need to share how amazing the host is. Karen is amazing. She responds promptly and provides all information needed to enjoy the visit. The check in process was simple as well. It was wonderful to arrive home and have the grand kiddos say "Nana, can we go back to your cabin?" While (unfortunately) it is not mine, the family all felt at home and we look forward to our next stay - We Love Lake Lodge!

Terrific place for groups with all ages. We had seniors, teenagers and young ones who were all able to spread out and play. Lots of seating around the house for conversations, movies and eating. Kitchen was great with appliances. We would definitely recommend this to friends and families.

We can’t rave enough about our stay at Karen’s home. This rental is the perfect blend of quaint charm with modern comforts. The house is super spacious, plenty of room for people to spread out and have their own spaces. The house is really impeccably done. Small touches like a variety of supplied coffee pods, a chefs kitchen and the great downstairs tv set up really put it over the top. Great location too! We would be very happy to stay here again.

We were a group of friends from Los Angeles in our 60s and 70s, and rented this big, beautiful, mountain house during late September. It is across the street from the lake. The neighborhood is lovely and very quiet. We had fun playing ping pong and pool in the game room. We never made it downstairs to the immense TV, sectional sofa and game table. (We were already entertained with the game room and the plethora of smart TVs throughout the house.) The kitchen is large and well stocked. There were so many lovely places in and around the house - fire pit patio with seating, balconies, lots of comfortable seating, and TVs in most rooms! Sound didn’t carry in this house so there was a sense of privacy with each bedroom. I truly recommend this rental. It was so nice to walk the dog around the neighborhood and wonderful to return to it.

This house was amazing. We’ve stayed at several VRBO properties and several in Big Bear with the same group every year. Everyone agrees that this has been the best one yet. The home really has everything you need. The kids ages 3-13 loves the game room. My husband and a few of his buddies loved being walking distance to the lake to go fishing. Plenty of bedrooms and beds for everyone. And the beds and pillows… so soft and comfortable in every room!!! We had such a great time. The house is clean and welcoming from the minute you open the door. Thank you, Karen, for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We will be back!!!

Our group had a great trip, the property was beautiful and close to so much. The check in process was so easy, had very close lake access, great game room, and close to town. We had a great time, would definitely recommend!

We loved the house. We had my two daughters and their families join my wife and me for a summer trip. The house is fully stocked and located close to Hollaways Marina, where we rented a pontoon boat for two hours. We enjoyed the family activities at nearby Alpine Meadows and the Big Bear Zoo. The house has a great game room and plenty of room to spread out for large families. The only two issues were the spider webs on the outside of the property, which took me a little work cleaning up. That would have freaked out my daughters so I had to step up and clean them off, especially the patio areas. The outdoor BBQ and fire pit area was also great for S'Mores. and for our family BBQ's. We didn't get to use the kayaks or electric bikes but they looked great too. I'm still waiting for my cleaning deposit but I expect that is a VRBO issue and not the owner. Great house, great owner, and we plan to go back. Frank Haffner

Plenty of room and lots of games. Kayaks were great. Kids 6-11 years had lots of fun.

The house was clean, and everything was in great working condition. The host knows how to make guests feel welcome. We appreciated little touches such as an assortment of Keurig coffees laid out for us to use throughout the week, as well as a large jar of fun-size candies. The game room is a real highlight of this property. Ping pong, a pool table, chairs, and tables made it easy for all seven of us to hang out there together for many hours of fun. Plenty of room for our two families to spread out to one of several bedrooms throughout the house for quiet/ solo time too. Big Bear has so many fun activities, and they are all literally 6 minutes from the rental house. This rental is top-notch, and if you need to contact the owner about anything during the stay, she responds quickly and was very accommodating.

Stayed with my 80 year old parents and brother’s family, 11 of us total. Plenty of space for all of us with rooms to spare. Teens loved the ping pong and pool tables. Great location across the street from lakefront. Owner provided kayaks and life vests. We also brought 2 stand up paddle boards and used them on the lake. (We heard that you need vessel registration to use them, but we stayed close to shore and there wasn’t an issue.). Was able to communicate with owner directly via VRBO app and owner was quickly responsive.

Great house by the lake. Great for all ages. Cross the road to get to fishing spot. Easy check-in and out. Host was very responsive and nice.

One word = SPECTACULAR! Amazed by the sheer beauty of this home! Three levels: Top (3 bedrooms, small kitchen and living area), mid (two main bedrooms and the main kitchen, dining, and living area), and bottom (additional bedroom and entertaining spaces). Let’s not forget the KILLER GAME ROOM that provided everyone with something to participate in! Oh, and I shall not forget the fact that there’s a fireplace on every level… further contributing to the COZY-CABIN VIBES. The HOSTS clearly KNOW WHAT THEY’RE DOING because they provided a manual on how to operate everything within the home (i.e., TV, fireplaces, etc.). I love it when hosts do this! My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PART had to be the ability to access downtown eateries, bars, and bakeries, as well as Big Bear Lake, which was less than a few hundred feet away! We brought up our fur babies and they loved our DAILY SUNSET STROLL to the shore. 5 out of 5 recommend!

Lake Lodge was the perfect place for our company retreat to Big Bear Lake. The location is great as it's away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, but also really close to the Village and ski resort. Plenty of space for our team and an amazing kitchen space for a big group dinner. Check-in and check-out was a breeze too!

Plenty of space for larger families. Everyone was able to have their own room, but it still felt cozy. We would definitely stay there again!

We stay for 3 nights, this cabin has everything to entertain kids, teens and adults, you won’t believe how spacious it is, the first time we made a walk through in all the cabin, we had 5 wows factors moments during the tour! When we thought we have seen enough the cabin kept blowing our minds with more bad ass spaces! You have 3 houses in one! Very well distributed, the noise from social areas don’t bother any of the 6 Bedrooms, has 4 levels offering plenty of privacy, it has space for 6 cars comfortably, we are restaurant owners and we love to cook, the kitchen is extremely well equipped, has a wolf professional grade stove, subzero refrigerator, mini bars for wines and All the utensils you can think of, has a second kitchen in the 4th level, a second refrigerator in the game room, dishwasher, 2 sets of washer/drier, 2 coffee stations, Alexa speakers all over the cabin and much more! A will rate this cabin with a solid 5 star! We ended leaving 2 cutco chef knifes ad a gift! Hope you enjoy them! If you are looking for a bad ass cabin, this is the one! Definitely coming back! The lodge is beautiful with all the amenities you’d need to stay in comfort and never leave the place. It still stands true from the previous reviewers in which there were ample space for 16 people and a medium-size dog. Don’t worry about what kitchen supplies to bring since there is everything you’d need from pots and pans, dishes, crock pots, utensils, common spices, kitchen supplies, and everything you’d need to start the morning off right. There are plenty of towels, blankets and throws to stay nice and cozy, and games to stay entertained - although the kids had fun all weekend playing hide-n-seek within the 3 levels. I found the bed and pillow comfortable and all the linen smelled wonderful and clean. You’ll be so happy to find the added details from the cleaners, like rose made from toilet paper, and swans, teddy bears, and elephants made from towels greeting you in the bathroom and bedrooms. The place was comfortably clean and had plenty of restroom supplies as well. Jim was kind and set us up when we arrived. Karen, the owner, was responsive and gave detailed instructions. So bring a positive attitude, good company, your favorite food/snack/beverage to indulge in, and enjoy your stay at the Lake Lodge, you won't be disappointed! I hope to return here during the warmer months to enjoy the lake since it’s only a short walk away, which is an added bonus.

We were a group of 9 adults and 4 children, ages 6 to 75. The house exceeded our expectations. All 13 of us were able to sit down at meals together. The house was so spacious even with our size group it never felt crowded. The bedrooms were spaced out enough so everyone had privacy at night. Often times the pictures on VRBO adds are outdated and do not represent the actual conditions. The house was better than the pictures! All questions both before and after arrival were answered almost immediately by Karen and Greg. We will be back!
