I have rented a lot of VRBO's and this one takes the #1 spot. First, it's steeped in over 100 years of history, which Jeff is happy to share with you. The house is adorned in both modern and time-period accurate decor. They have gone to great lengths to share the farm's history and their respect for our military. They had everything we needed. We only had to leave to get food. Fortunately, there are grocery stores 10 miles in either direction. I look forward to going back and spending more time here.

This was the location of our bi-annual family vacation. It felt like home for the Southern family as well as the Northern family. Super clean and just the right size for all of us. The perfect place to relax, do some sightseeing and visit in a peaceful setting.

We really enjoyed all the space this home has to offer! Some highlights included 3 bathrooms, plenty of seating in the kitchen plus nice outdoor seating options- all comfortable. Kitchen was laid out nicely with a chart for where to find things, good pots/pans- great for breakfast, dishwasher and story highlighting the history of the home/family. Host was very friendly and quick with all communication- everything was clean and comfortable; convenient check in and check out process.

The property worked great for our group of people. We were in town for a softball tournament and was able to have team get together‘s for bonding outside of playing along with team meals. I called it a beautiful home because that’s how it felt, like a home and not just a house. The owners have done a great job of decorating and providing the basics and more in the kitchen. The owners were easy to communicate with for the entire process, from booking to checking in and to checking out. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed in many vacation rental properties and this is one of the absolute best. It is a beautifully restored and updated farm house, well maintained, spotlessly clean, and comfortably furnished. The kitchen is fully stocked with nice cookware and basic supplies, even with an extensive spice rack. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Note that the Rowe Sanctuary (for sandhill crane migration viewing) is about a 45 minute drive away via I80. Cranes are everywhere in this area during migration season, so just head out on the back roads. Very highly recommended!

Hattie's Homestead was a wonderful property for our family to stay for a family gathering and some sandhill crane viewing. Very comfortable for 8 adults. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our group and we really appreciated the well stocked kitchen and the out door grill. The crane migration was amazing and this house was the perfect place to stay. Minutes from the Crane Trust. Would definitely stay here again.

Great time

There were 4 couples, eight individuals and we all enjoyed the comfortable, cozy and clean atmosphere of the adorable home. The host was very attentive. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

The house was just as described , so pretty and comfortable,just enough room for everyone.Decorated so right for the times of the house. Very lovely and just right for an old farmer,place for the kids to run and rest. Great experience for a lovely wedding weekend.

Beautiful house, very clean and loved reading about the history of the house!

This house is extremely clean, cozy and very well equipped. The bedrooms are quiet and the beds super comfortable. Great stocked kitchen and two kitchen tables. One makes a great card table. The countryside is serene and peaceful and watching the sunrise on the porch and the sunset out back was awesome. So close to Hastings or Grand Island. You can't go wrong staying here. All 4 of my girlfriends would good it 5 stars!

The pictures do not do this wonderful homestead justice. This lovely home has charm and can accommodate a party of 10 easily. The hosts are on top of it. They communicate and truly want you to enjoy your stay at their home. All of our needs were meet and then some. Furniture was comfortable and bedding was just right. If you're looking for a place to stay when visiting the area, we highly suggest you try this property!

Everything in the house was outstanding. They did a fantastic job of remodeling the home to accommodate renters. The one small item would the the upstairs shower, kind of cramped.

Renting the property was easy. Jeff and Julie were quick to respond to question. Beautiful house in a country setting. We enjoyed our time there.

Our group absolutely LOVED our stay at Hatties. Jeff and Julie are such lovely and gracious hosts. We liked them so much we wanted to take them home with us. The property is large, nicely appointed, full of history, and easy for everyone to spread out and have their own space. We loved being close enough to various cities but out in the country for quiet evenings and star filled skies. Every single member of our group would love to come back.

We stayed for a week at Hattie’s Homestead and enjoyed every minute of it! It is a gorgeous property filled with farm charm. The owners were very attentive and even brought us yard yard games to play during our stay. On our last night we watched the most beautiful sunset as the property gave us 360 degree views. This VRBO beats a hotel any day!

We enjoyed our stay! The house is very charming and the hosts are very communicative. Only feedback from the others in our group was the need for towel racks in the bathrooms :) We will stay again in the future!

This home exceded our expectations for convenience, comfort, and spaciousness for a family of 5. Our 6 & 7 yr old boys Loved playing outside. Sitting on the porch in the morning quiet before everyone woke up added to the joy of being with family. So Great to get out of the city, but close to the NE State Fair, had a Wonderful 3 day wknd! This property and the owners exceeded my expectations in so many ways! I Googled places for a few weeks so I could give my family a quiet peaceful getaway from our busy lives in Arizona. Just the drive up to the home as we arrived was amazing! It just so happened Jeff and his grand daughter were on the property so we got to meet them and have a nice conversation. Finally we entered the home and it was sooooo beautiful. Everything had its place and it was just a peaceful home away from home feeling. You can come up with every great work in the book and nothing can describe our stay. Morning walks at sunrise smelling the fresh morning air. Sunset evenings on the patio listening to nothing but nature. No neighbors super close by. We were just on our own in our peace! I can't say enough good things about this property! Jeff was an amazing host. He was always available for any questions we had about the area. I called him about a bird that fell out of its nest and he came right over to help. We got to visit and he gave us the History on the home and his grandmother (Hattie). It was just a really really cool experience. We stayed the weekend and my family just did NOT want to leave LOL. My mom thanked me over and over for bringing her to Hatties Homestead. My son and daughter work and go to school. They all left refreshed and it was such a nice "Reset" for everyone! As far as towels, linens, cooking utensils etc. The home was well stocked! There was a BBQ grill and plenty of tables and chairs outdoor on the front and back patios. You just cannot go wrong with this home. We will definitely be booking again!

This place was perfect. We were visiting family scattered around the central Nebraska area. Hatties Homestead was a perfect place for us all to get together. The house has all the charm of 1800s farm house while being beautifully updated with all the modern comforts. I’ll absolutely be revisiting this place the next time I visit my NE family, although it’s hard to imagine it won’t be booked straight through hunting season. Thanks Jeff, we had a great stay. Charlie
