We had a wonderful stay at The Helaina. The room was amazing with a fantastic sea view and a super comfortable bed. The breakfasts were incredible and kept us full for most of the day. All the staff were really pleasant and friendly and made the whole visit an enjoyable experience.

Spotlessly clean, tidy and enjoyable to stay in. Staff always polite and helpful. Bedroom a nice size. Bathroom a bit cramped but perfectly acceptable. Shower door very stiff but ok once we got the hang of it. Shower itself a nice temperature and pressure.

It’s a lovely hotel in a great location. Staff very friendly. Good Breakfast and great views.

The views and location.

We book each year around Easter - we love it here - fantastic room- clean, bright and a great view over the bay [we book the same room each year]. Staff are lovely and the breakfasts are delicious. Cannot fault it any way.

Location, the rooms, the beds, the food,all the things you Hope to find when away from home, We just love staying here, and if we can't get in at the Helena, we won't go to Scarborough the staff play a big part in your stay, they are just so nice, and can't do enough for you, the rooms are all so compy, probley the best night sleep you will have away from your own bed, we have been going to the Helena, for many years, and although, you can't always get it the penthouse sweet is just perfect

Spotlessly clean, fluffy towels and quality bed linen. Wonderful location, very quiet with a fantastic sea view, worth the extra. Great breakfast which was cooked to order, so piping hot. Service was very friendly from check in to check out. As a lone female visitor, I felt very safe in both the room and the location.

Our room was great overlooking the sea with lovely big bay window. They have worked very hard to make some excellent upgrades to rooms, been going for many years and still get excellent care and attention to detail, lovely home cooked breakfast too with lots of options.

Just a pity you can't control the weather as everything else was top drawer

Everything was perfect but with hindsight should have requested a lower floor as there are a lot of stairs.

We love it at The Helaina…. As always we were looked after by Lucky and Tara who couldn’t have done any more… they work extremely hard. The only criticism we had was no shelf in the shower cubicle, it proved a bit difficult for us, this is why I marked a 4 instead of a 5 for the facilities.

Wonderful staff great breakfast owner was very friendly Tara and luki was wonderful and very efficient at breakfast check in check out and was on hand at all times if you needed anything lovely chat and that smile luki had Tara was very helpful chatty and lovely to us breakfast was amazing

Stayed for two nights for a short break

I’ve stayed previously at the Helaina and Helaina apartments when I was much younger with my family and have many happy and pleasant memories. However, it was my boyfriends first time to Scarborough so I wanted to stay somewhere I knew was great quality and somewhere he’d enjoy too, because I’ve stayed in a few places in Scarborough. Not to my surprise, we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

We enjoyed being able to watch the ocean from our comfortable chairs in a bay window. And the breakfasts were amazing. Thanks to Luca and Jill for creating a lovely place to stay.

Fantastic room with a sea view. Nice to be able to wake up to see the sea from your bed and what a view. The room was clean, classy and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was in a very good spot to explore Scarborough.

This is lovely hotel, our room was perfect with lovely views over North Bay. Everything about our stay was great. The staff are so friendly, accommodating and helpful. We stayed for 5 nights and really didn't want to leave
