I was extremely impressed by this property!!! The location was great also!

lovely place to enjoy time on the Texas gulf coast. Only issue was finding the key lockbox in the dark and figuring out which door to use. Once we spoke to the emergency contact, all was well. Really enjoyed the screened-in porch.

When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was that the toilet didn't flush. We called the emergency after hours line and a technician asked us to plunge the toilet. The plunger on site was not a good fit for that toilet so he ended up having to bring another one out and plunge it himself approximately an hour later. We then noticed that there was a lot of broken furniture. The bunk beds appeared to be missing slats and the drawers were broken, the coffee table was broken, towel rack was broken, and one of the dining chairs was broken. As our kids started settling in and picking out their beds, they discovered what appeared to be blood on one of the bunk's bedding, on the stuffed dolphin in the bunk room, and on the wall in the bathroom. There was popcorn and a trash bag in the bunk room floor, the kitchen floor was sticky, and it appeared that there was gum on the floor in the screened in porch. There were lights surrounding the top deck and the screened in area and almost half the bulbs needed to be replaced. It did not appear as though it had been cleaned very well or maintained. We received a link for a 24 hr post check-in survey asking if they had exceeded our expectations to which we replied no. We got a message that someone would be reaching out to rectify the situation as soon as possible and that never happened. The house could be nice, but I would not stay here or anywhere that is managed by the Ryson group based on our experience here.

Pictures are correct. Nice screened in area. No clamplaits. Just a suggestion Need to leave paddles for kayaks, need better fishing lights in canal. Repair motion lights for night access to stairway and parking they did not work..

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this place! The house was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable seating, kitchen had everything we needed, cozy beds, awesome outdoor area! We felt very much at home in this place! We would definitely stay here again!!

My family stays in this neighborhood of Jamaica Beach every summer. We have always had pleasant rental experiences until this one. My first warning is to never use anything from Ryson Vacation Rentals. We typically have only rented from individuals and will only do so going forward. The first night here there were several roaches in the kitchen. When we went outside there were dozens of giant roaches all over the patio, screened in porch and driveway. The next day I attempted to call Ryson, they said someone would call me about it but never did. I then sent an email and was told a property manager would contact me...they never did. Called again, no answer. The roaches were in the kitchen every night, we ended up throwing a lot of the groceries we brought away because...ugh just gross. The worse part is that we couldn't even enjoy the outdoor areas after dark because who wants to be surrounded by roaches? We rented this property for six nights... it was a big part of our spending budget for the year. What left me feeling the most angry is that no one even reached out to offer any sort of help or solution. Ryson is clearly all about the money and could care less about the quality of the stay.

Had a wonderful stay at Dock Holiday. The kids enjoyed the fishing and I enjoyed my morning cup of coffee while sitting in the enclosed patio. The kitchen had a variety of pots, pans, and accessories. The washer and dryer were nice. With our size family, we did run out of hot water easily but that is expected. There were ants coming into the bathroom through a crack in the corner. We were unaware that it was 5.00 dollars a person to swim in the community pool so I recommend to post that as part of the description when booking. We would definitely stay again. Thanks for the stay.
