I spent about a week at this hostel and loved staying here! Matts & his wife were very kind and the hostel was in an ideal location. I would definitely come back :)

very bad beds, dirty room and towels, no warm water

Location and the relaxed atmosphere, no drama like other bigger hostels.

does not look like anything in the pictures. everything is out dated. kind staff but did not stay here it was that bad. wish I could get a refund as the pictures does not give you the accurate current set up

Blankets was a little not clean enough

It was a very cozy little place. Very interesting and creative space. Once under the last owner, artists had come to live in Costa Rica for some time. They could life here for free for a while, if the painted the place in return. The manager of the hotel now is a very sweet man, who does everything himself. He is the manager, receptionist, cleaner, gardener, etc. Charming. Great location not too far from the beach and stores

It wasn’t a 100% clean, but livable.

lacked service of utensils like toilet paper, blankets and towels were old along with bed and the place is in need of a good cleaning overall. new person who rented out a bed threw his baggage on top of the bunk bed waking me up.
