The staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful, helping me organise the next part of my trip and helping me borrow a bike etc.
The room was so nice, clean and big with a lovely terrace and hammock and complimentary coffee/tea etc.
The restaurant / breakfast was really good, and again all the staff were so welcoming and friendly.
The pool area was also very nice.
Was also really fun borrowing a bike to get around town!
It would have been nice to have yoga classes available in the shala on site (however there are plenty of yoga places nearby!)

The location, layout and decor were good. The staff were also nice and friendly. There was quite good space in the room.
- bedrooms were only cleaned on request
- the shower pressure was weak
- the shower drain must have been blocked as the shower tray filled up almost to my ankles every time it was used - felt dirty
- the pool always had loads of things floating in it ( leaves and bugs) and I never saw it being cleaned. I saw a guest let their dog swim in it. the hotel should have someone tending to the pool frequently especially as it’s in the jungle with lots of trees around
- cushions on communal seats and around pool area had lots of dirty marks on them

The breakfast was delicious and the pool with the honor bar is relaxing.
The room was smaller than expected but doable. There’s also a lot of mosquitos hanging by the pool so be ready!

Hotel Guiones blends a beautiful mix of the natural world combined with amenities and a sense of luxury. The staff was exceptional—attentive to every need.

built in traditional style with a huge deck for yoga and relaxation. ours overlooked the pool area which at night was lit until 10pm, very pretty.
There was a huge closet to move all our luggage into and out of the way and plenty of seating if it got too hot outside.
Main bed was a superking and very comfy. Our adult daughter travelling with us had a small single which was challenging trying to turn over in.
Hotel food was very good and we ate there in the evening as well as breakfast.
pool area nicely furnished and not too many sun beds so never felt crowded.
good air con and ceiling fans, a basic kitchen with fridge/job/coffee making facilities etc which is all we needed.
only the single bed was a bit challenging for my adult daughter.

Spacialle and Alina where amazing, very helpful and super nice. Spacialle gave us a tour of the hotel and explained everything in detail to us which is something you don't get in a chain hotel or a bigger one it was a very personalised experience. Also they send you all the info via WhatsApp and you can also communicate with them in there which makes it very convenient.
The vibe of the hotel was great, super chill, perfect for a beach getaway.
We were at like 6min walk from the beach and they also have bikes available in case you don't want to walk.
The room was very spacious cause it had a little terrace/patio thing with hammocks and a little table, so we had coffee in there in the afternoons, very private and cozy.
Froylan was our waiter a few times and he was very friendly and gave us some tips about the town as well :)
The pool was amazing and they also have a yoga deck which we use a couple of time at night and was just perfect.
Overall the amenities were 10/10
The only downside was the restaurant, we had dinner the first night and the chicken sandwich was very disappointing and small, also we wanted a Burrata and Figs pizza and they didn't had burrata nor fresh mozzarella only the normal one and they burned it a bit...
Also in the first breakfast we had one the waiters (I guess the manager one) was super rude to us and did some sarcastic remarks and rolling of eyes every time we asked for something. Also the first comment he made was: Are you staying in the hotel? in a shock mode and giving that we were the only locals in there we found it a bit out of place and rude. The other waiters just asked for our room number and that was it, no snarky remarks...
But the breakfast was really good at least, big and tasty.

Very nice lady at the reception, very nice rooms, nice restaurant and pool. Pick a room 'high up' and away from traffic. Cheers.

very nicely designed, pleasant atmosphere, clean and nice staff, short walk to the beach.
beds uncomfortable and squeaky/noisy.The location and whole town of Nosara are off road. reception is closed after 8pm so if you needed anything out of hours you can’t get help. For $395/night you’d expect better.

On site restaurant is fantastic and the property / landscaping is beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful and lush hotel. You really feel like you are in the jungle. We saw many birds, an armadillo, iguanas and even some monkeys in the hotel garden. A beautiful place if you wanna stay in Guiones. I think it's probably the lushest hotel in Guiones. A short walk to the big beach, or you can use the bycicle that are offered for free. Beautiful pool area, big room with comfortable beds. We had a super quiet room (nr 7.). The staff was super helpful and did organize all our trips and transports. We really fell in love with this hotel, it's a boutique style hotel, very cozy and clean. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. If you wanna explore the area, you would need a tuktuk driver or rent som quads. We were there in the rainy season and we loved it because there were only few tourists and everything was super green!
I think some rooms can be a bit noisy, because they are right next to the main road.
It's a bit pricey, but that's just how the Nosara area is.

Everything. The gardens are beautiful, as is the pool area and the rooms. The location is great - walkable to the beach and all the shops, cafes, restaurants you could possibly need. The staff are incredibly helpful, arranging everything and anything to facilitate the ease and enjoyment of your experience at what feels like their home.

Excellent breakfast and coffee, with great service
Perhaps some fresh coat of paint in the room and in some one the common areas...
It is understandable because of the humid and tropical climate which make it difficult to keep up with

Food is incredible. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we need. A quaint little surf style hotel with a warm vibe. It blends modern and cottage nicely. It’s not a big brand name all inclusive, which is what we loved about it.

The most pleasant stay ever! My husband and I have been travelling all around the world, but we have never received this level of service and support during the stay. Concierge team of 4 amazing ladies has made our vacation unforgettable - from booking dinners and excursions, to organizing transportation around Nosara and even providing medicine/drugs when my husband felt unwell.. This hotel gem felt like a home away from since we arrived.
Location is great, everything you need is walking/short tuk tuk ride distance. The jungle vibe is vibrant, all rooms are ‘hidden’ between tropical plants… Restaurant in the hotel is excellent with great farm to table food and awesome staff!
We are definitely coming back to this beautiful place 🤗

Delicious breakfast...awesome location.
The room could have been more upgraded AND it was just what I needed for the night.

- Nice pool
- very nice and elegant room with additional outside space with small kitchen
- good breakfast
- internet almost does not work in the room
- charged $5 (+ taxes) for a ‘self service’ beer (imperial) in the pool area (ie more expensive than in a restaurant)
- not really client friendly to check out as I had to pay bill in restaurant (they did not accept Apple Pay or e-card) and then another one (for drinks in pool) in hotel as they prefer to keep it separately

Breakfast was great everyday, the hotel service is lovely. It feels like home, the staff does a fantastic job at sharing the Pura Vida lifestyle.

Very nice and friendly waiters, maids and receptionists.
30 days in Costa Rica and the only really bad experience!
Surrounded by construction sites with heavy machines which were right in front of our windows starting at 05.45 AM. Also the traffic from the street is very present all over the day!
We should have listened to our friends and stay at nomadic or iguana..
Never had such a negative experience with a hotel manager.

This places is really beautiful..a little hidden gem. Loved the place, great for working, and the staff goes beyond to help you with everything.
We were 2 people and the last available room was for 4ppl so they tried to accommodate us at our lower budget and even helped find a hotel for us when we coudln't stay. THANK YOU <3
