Beautiful furniture and great atmosphere.
Well equipped kitchen and great laundry facilities
Local dogs barking through the night - perhaps at coyotes? Ear plugs helped the second night

This house is really extraordinary inside and out. The thick Pueblo style walls ensure the house stays cool in the day and warm at night, and skylights allow the powerful New Mexico sun (and starlight) to brighten the interior day (and night). The house is artfully decorated inside with many local and southwest items, beautiful old doors and many striking details too numerous to mention. The beds are comfortable with ceiling fans contributing to the atmosphere. The kitchen is fully outfitted-- clearly the owners are foodies. The grill outside is high quality and easy to use. The house is surrounded by a privacy fence with a beautiful cactus-style garden in front and an atelier with seating area in back. We enjoyed the evenings gazing up at the dark New Mexico skies, finding constellations and counting satellites passing overhead. Witt Rd is just east of the town strip (highway with supermarket Albertsons, Walmart, etc) and south of the Taos old town and plaza. The traffic is low-- we walked the road to enjoy the sunset in the evening. We found the location to be perfect for our needs. We visited the Taos Pueblo, Plaza and the Rio Grande gorge bridge west of town as well as Red River and Eagles Nest in the mountains above Taos.
Really nothing. We were three during our stay, and we had to take care to control the humidity buildup in the bathroom. An open window and build in vent fan are helpful in this regard.

The home was SUPER clean and the communication with Vacasa was timely and easy. They have an amazing automated system that sends texts on exactly what you need to know for check in, check out, etc. when you need the info. Accessing the property was super easy because of these texts. When we had an unexpected issue with a breaker being flipped, the customer support team immediately responded to help walk through fixing it. The property was a mile from downtown - a long walk or quick drive. Taos itself is a lovely place! We loved the wineries just south of Taos, hiking in Bandelier, soaking at Ojo Caliente, and exploring Santa Fe. The home was also stocked with everything you'd think you'd need if it was your own home. It was the perfect home away from home.
I know the owner can't control it, but the next door neighbor has some very loud dogs that barked every night and woke us up often. My advice is to bring earplugs!

absolutely beautiful house that is very well decorated. The bathroom and kitchen is well stocked with essentials.
It got down in to the 30s while we were there. The house was cold at night. there were supposed to be 2 fire logs to burn in the fireplace. There was a furnace, but we had never seen anything like it and could not turn it on. Only on the day we left did we find some space heaters in the closet. The bedroom had an electric baseboard heater that clicked all night long. We reached out to the property manager, Vacasa, but even though they responded to our texts, they had no understanding about how the furnace worked and only offered to have some firedogs sent over. The logs never arrived.

We like the authentic look of the property, and the shower was amazing. The kitchen was very well stocked and we really appreciated the attention to details!
It was cold inside during our entire stay and the barking dogs next door were a nuisance….but the very worst part was the man’s underwear under the bed….

Tastefully and beautifully decorated, a very comfortable and relaxing space, well and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need, a lovely, curated reading selection, nice and clean, and a great location close to the heart of Taos.
Heat was set too high for us. We were unable to find any thermostat, this made the space somewhat uncomfortable. Many of the dishes needed to be rinsed or cleaned before use. There were odd overhead "lights" or maybe some kind of solar skylights in the kitchen/dining space that also couldn't be adjusted or turned off. The bright white LED light fought with the vibe of the space during the day, and were unnecessary since there was already enough natural light. On the up side, these "lights" functioned as a kind of nightlight in the hall and bathroom which came in handy as there is a potentially dangerous step between the main living and kitchen space. The hot water heater is on the small side. (I can't imagine this would work very well with four guests.) The Ironing board was stored in a very musty closet and unfortunately had taken on that smell.

This property is immaculate and so well decorated. I didn't realize that I had not felt peaceful the whole trip until we stepped inside. We felt safe, relaxed, and privileged to be in such a perfect Southwestern home. Highly recommend. These hosts thought of everything.
