The house worked beautifully for our group of 14 adults. We were out and about most of the time (cycling, hiking, sight-seeing, visiting historic sites), but loved gathering on the fabulous front porch as well as group dinners in the enormous dinning room.

We were a group of 16, four siblings with our mostly adult kids and a few significant others. We get together every summer for a reunion weekend and were thrilled to find a house big enough to hold all of us. The biggest plus to this house is that almost all bedrooms have a private bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for meals and having two dishwashers and two refrigerators was a great help. We enjoyed spending time on the big front porch and took advantage of the fire pit in the back yard on our last night. My only feedback would be about the twin beds. Everyone who had a queen or king bed had a very comfortable bed but the same could not be said about the twins. They seem to be intended more for small children and our 20 somethings would have preferred mattresses that were a little softer. That being said, everyone loved the house, the secluded location where we had plenty of room to enjoy ourselves and most of all that we were all together under the same roof. We are definitely planning a return trip to the Jewel House!

Our family and guests were very happy with the house and property. Bedrooms were large, lots of room to spread out in living and dining rooms; and deep covered front porch with large table was great. Owner was easy to work with and very responsive.

The Jewel House gave my extended family a great weekend together. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the property very much.

The Jewel house was everything listed and more! From a communicative and helpful host to the spotless and sprawling property my group had a fantastic reunion here. The kitchen is unbeatable with a massive dining room for large communal meal. Everything was top notch in terms of finishes and there was no shortage of attention to detail. We have been renting homes for 8 years to bring a large group together and all the guests agreed this was the best by far yet. Thank you for having us and for anyone looking for the perfect upstate stay for a large group look no further!

We had such a fantastic time at this property. Plenty of room, enough bathrooms, places to escape your friends, lovely setting away from it all. Truly an amazing house. This is not a complaint, but some people were working on the property. I did not expect that and I think at times people stay in the side house. The board member who was there was very kind. I just did not expect to see anyone else on the property.

We had such a wonderful weekend with our family at the Jewel House. It is HUGE, very clean and the front wrap around porch is absolutely the best. Kitchen was amazing!! Accommodations were perfect for our crew!
