Great stat for our family - perfectly located, equipped, and situated for our trip to Santa Cruz!

A nice summer getaway out of the valley heat! Location was great just a couple blocks from the ocean, restaurants and grocery stores. We enjoyed mountain biking Wilder and other trails, watching the surfers at the lighthouse and exploring the redwoods of Henry Cowell state park. Only downside was the increased traffic from the detour of West Cliff drive going up Almar , the house is located on a busy corner. Overall we had a nice stay and would return!

We enjoyed the location and the short walk to West Cliff. The very private backyard was lovely for dining, quiet reading and visiting.

Great home with everything you need. Location amazing! Close enough to walk to most area attractions. (Between 1 and 2 miles) Plenty of great restaurant's grocery store within 1/2 mile. Great family vacation made super easy by our host. Thank you so much.

This home is so cozy and quaint. We loved our stay here and plan to come back! It has lots of charm and has been renovated to have all the modern conveniences. It's centrally located, so you're down the street from the ocean, close to the Boardwalk, restaurants, wine tasting, grocery store and not far from downtown. The owners are extremely responsive and accommodating. They are also dog friendly people, which we love! The property has a serene, totally secure and private backyard - great if you're traveling with your dog(s) or just want to relax in a nice, outdoor environment. We highly recommend stayng here!

We love the westside of Santa Cruz and had a fantastic stay in this home. Super close to Natural Bridges and loved being able to wake up in the morning and walk along West Cliff. We had everything we needed at the house to be comfortable during our stay and particularly enjoyed sitting in the backyard in the afternoons.

Close to beaches and shops, with all amenities as described. Others mentioned noise issues, but we didn't have a problem with that. Enjoyed our stay!

House & yard were great. Dog friendly beach was walkable from house but only off leash before 10 & after 4. Most beaches nearby followed those rules. We liked the lighthouse beach. 0nly negative was noise - the house is on the corner of 2 busy streets with a Stop sign so with windows open, lots of traffic noise.

Lovely home in a fantastic location for our purposes. We are a family of 4 with 2 preschool aged kids, and the space worked really well for us. The kids were delighted to run around the yard, and to be so close to the beach, as well a park with playground just down the block. We communicated by text and Ann was a kind and very responsive host. Thanks so much for a great stay!

The place was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of room. Great location. Close to beach and warf and grocery etc. Ann was very nice. To deal with instructions were very clear it just couldn’t have been better

This was the first time I used VRBO. The process was a learning curve. The grounds were beautiful! House was well done and had many amenities. I hoped it might have been just a bit closer to the beach.

Property was clean and equipped with everything we needed. It was perfect for my family of 6.

This property is absolutely beautiful and was very clean! Check in and check out instructions were a breeze! This home is in a great neighborhood with friendly people. It's so close to everything you need. Grocery store, beach, and there is even a park right down the road for the kids. We had everything we needed to cook. And with a family of 5 that is a must! We loved to grill in the back yard because it was just as beautiful and peaceful!

I took my 10 month old son, my mom and her boyfriend and my dog Jax to Santa Cruz for the 4th weekend. Just to get away. Pros: Close to the Beach*. Great Parking. Spacious home. Easy to get to other parts of town. Great communication with hosts. Cons: When I read blocks from beach I assumed beach access. Yes it's blocks from the beach but it's more like beach look out. I was surprised by a second contract listing a whole list of do's and don'ts that was not available on the page just days prior to arrival. Some would have been deal breakers but it was now beyond too late to cancel without losing all of my money. To the Hosts credit, we discussed the contract and they took ownership and agreed to include these items on the main page. Overall, I would definitely visit this home again. Side note/vent; I don't understand, being charged a cleaning fee AND then being asked to clean the property like we were never there. This is not just for this property but most on this site.

We were amazed at how short of a walk this rental is from Natural Bridges Beach, the wharf, and a shopping center with restaurants and groceries! There are a few dog beaches nearby and in the morning we loved walking along the coast, spotting sea life. We loved the cozy and clean atmosphere of the property. We liked the well-fenced in backyard that I can tell is dog-friendly. You can tell the owners are taking great care in maintaining the rental! The owners were very friendly to talk to when I had questions. 11out of 10 I would recommend this rental and we would stay here again!
