Great property!

Thought Walter at the front desk was great

Highly disappointing.. there was no power for more than half my stay causing multiple issues during my stay including being locked out of my hotel with no shoes or access in without walking around the entire building without any of my belongings .. walking the entire venue to access my car with my children in pitch black garage was also a challenge while trying leave and transfer everything back to my vehicle. The venue provided no compensation and still charged me the parking fees.

It was relaxing, easy to register and room was great.

They said pool will be heated and it was not cold as ice cubes and no jacuzzi

This was a convenient and comfortable place to stay. Great beach access and affordable. It’s not the Rirz but it is clean, quiet and easy. We enjoyed it!

It was too much to put in to this box, but what i will say is the night manager tries his best to make my situation more tolerable.

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times because I love the location to the beach. It has been completely remodeled. Loved the updated rooms. Not that impressed with the pool remodel, can’t believe they didn’t add a hot tub (which is nice after a day of surfing) Staff was not helpful.

I never checked in. I had double bookings by mistake through Expedia. They tried to help me get a refund and were not successful. I am not trying to cheat any system just trying to get my $350 back. The reservation stated “pay at hotel” and I never checked in because I truly thought I o canceled. I checked into another hotel reserved through Expedia for same day check-in. This isn't a small amount to let go: I have my mortgage to pay and am short now. This came out of my checking. I will dispute this charge with the bank. Your business is truely not losing out compared to what I'm losing.

It is a 7 minute walk from the beach and campsite of Doheny State Beach. Hotel is still in transition from Doubletree to Hilton, no complementary breakfast option available and fryer was down in restaurant (no fried options available). Other than that, it looks almost like a usual Hilton Hotel (with the $40 parking fee).

We enjoyed our stay, you could see that many updates have been done to the property. I think they should update the lighting and the arrows down in the parking garage. Also I think the restaurant needs to have a better menu and staff to be on their toes.

Beautiful property and staff very courteous, friendly, and professional. Be aware, In the process of remodeling the hotel, they failed to keep track of TV serial numbers to the rooms, which is why you won’t be able to access the TV guide or your streaming services.

Are bones type hotel, large room, comfortable bed However, they charge $40 for overnight parking, which, at an average hotel room price of around $150-$180 is a huge percentage of the room price as additional cost. This is not me ruined in the a hotels.com listing, only that "parking is available". I would have picked a different hotel had I known that. This is a bit outrageous, for this hotel and location even for a Californian.

Our first room had ants, so we had to pack back up and move to another room. When we started to get ready to go out that evening, we had no hot water in the new room. On our last day relaxing on the beach, the hotel called and left a message saying that we left our luggage and everything in the room, and to come get it out. I called them back and they had screwed up our reservation, not seeing that we had added an additional day, long before we had arrived. I thought we had it all worked out, but upon our arrival back from the beach, our keys to our room didn’t work. In a hurry to make it in time for our dinner reservation, I rushed down to the front desk, only to see a line of 6 people, and only one desk person (who moved like molasses) working. Finally got new keys, and late for dinner.

It is super close to the beach. Mediocre amenities.

The best attribute of this place is its location

My best friend & I booked this special vacation due to my very serious health condition.We were shocked to arrive to a hotel being fully renovated, it was dirty, noisy, & there was NO pool access & more.For almost $300 a night this is unacceptable & that we were NOT made aware of this by EXPEDIA. We entered a dirty lobby with a makeshift table.The staff that evening was not very friendly or apologetic, & very unresponsive to our questions. Staff other days were nice. We have several pictures of the dirty floor on which our room was located & where almost all rooms were being gutted & worked, ours was almost at the very end so we walked by all of this daily. We also noted unsafe conditions inside & out-we did notify management for their awareness. At check out we were even told that we should never have been given the room we were in & were actually told that we should be compensated. None of this has happened by Expedia or the hotel ! Due to my health I have not called Expedia yet.They are responsible for making sure that all the properties they offer their customers are at the standard promised & if there are any issues that the customer is made aware. I have been a loyal Expedia customer for many years & hope to continue but this experience & some recent flight bookings makes me feel that that standards a changing. I hope someone will contact me very soon. The hotel will become very nice, but it was NOT when we were there and it was $$$$. Thank you. Please call me asap.

First time staying here didn't know what to expect I really liked it, it's directly across the beach just have to Walk through the camping site literally 5 minutes away it also has ocean view the palm trees kind of block the view to the beach but you can still see the water enough, the service was great and the vibe was chill I would come back again.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

My husband and three teenagers just stayed at this property for 5 nights. We had a wonderful stay!! The hotel is recently renovated and our room was clean and comfortable. We had 2 beds and a sofa bed so it fit the 5 of us well! It was easy to walk to the beach and an easy drive both in and out of the property. We enjoyed the roof top lounge. The lobby is beautiful and we enjoyed fresh coffee in the morning with cream and sugar. There was coffee in the room as well and a fridge if you wanted to purchase your own creamer. The hotel was quiet and we all slept well. Staff was all friendly and helpful and we self parked which was convenient and there were always lots of spots even if you didn’t use the valet service. We had such a great stay we are looking at making this our annual summer vacation. Again, the location is just wonderful and we loved our ocean view and drinking coffee on our balcony each morning and enjoyed the evenings as well. The kids enjoyed the pool and there were plenty of towels every time we went. Thank you for a great stay!

It was ok, the front desk welcome was underwhelming, seemed too busy to acknowledge us although nobody was in line. $40 per night for parking which is ridiculous considering the parking lot is for guests, this wasn’t made clear when making the reservation. Rooms were nice with cute decor. Someone’s dog pooped in the garage near the elevators and there were poop smears that still hadn’t been cleaned up by the time we checked out. Needs to work on the finesse. Otherwise good location and cute hotel.

Erin in the restaurant was most enjoyable and made us feel at home. Her cheery disposition and positive attitude regarding working there was a breath of fresh air. We will be back just to see her and continue our newfound friendship.

This property has just completed a total remodel plus a new designation within Hilton, going from the Double Tree brand to a Garden Inn. Even the computer systems and software are new! The staff is to be commended for working hard during this transitional period. Located on Hwy. 1 and across the street from one of Cali's Best Beaches, I know they will have a hit on their hands!

Beautiful patios. Comfortable bed. Unbelievably slow Internet - could barely check my email and definitely couldn’t do meetings. Too many hidden charges - parking is $40?!

Nice Ocean views, Roof top bar is excellant! Overall very clean. The only down side is the restrooms are way too small, toilet and showers are too small. Great for kids!
