Not pleasant

Very noisy all hours of the night.

Check in was slow, the customers in front of us did not speak English. The night clerk was rude and rushing to check us in, they had their phone on the counter and you could see they were in the middle of a phone call with someone. The elevators were down so we had to use the steps, no biggie. Our key card only worked for a second, we got the door half open. We then spent several minutes trying to get into our room. The door was scratched to hell and back and looked like it had been broken into a few times. We had spent time at the lake so we wanted to shower, but when we looked in the shower it was covered in long black hairs. We opted for some wet wipes we thankfully brought. The room was stuffy and smelled of cigarettes and weed. We turned the AC on and it leaked all over the floor and on to our shoes as we had them by the chair in the corner by the ac unit. You could have every little foot step and people walking above you. Finally at 3am I had to call the front desk and ask them to say something to the room above me. Even with them shuffling to walk, we could still hear it. We tried telling the front desk staff when checking out at 8am what happened with the ac unit and shower and she waived her hands at us and told us to put our key in the bowl. 10/10 would not recommend. If we had more resources we would have found somewhere else to stay.

It was dirty. Prostitutes were in the hallways making transactions. My first room, the curtains were torn down and the bed was cleaned. The second room had dried blood stains on the walls.

So much wrong with this place… upon arriving there were several people around the hotel dressed in pajamas just lingering outside. There were several people smoking cigarettes and some smoking weed. It smelled awful stepping outside the car. The lobby upon check in did not have AC going and their thermostat read almost ninety degrees. When we entered the building to give the room a chance it smelled like Chinese food and musty. Upon entering our room the safety door latch was completely busted. We checked the bedding and there were stains all over the sheets. We tried to call the front desk from the phone but it wouldn’t work. That was the last straw. We decided to cancel our stay and booked elsewhere. The staff that checked us in was polite with check in and when we decided to check out. Probably the only thing good going for that place.

Rented this room because the website showed a hot tub spa on the property as did the hotels list of amen. AND the hotels.com rep confirmed that there was a hot tub. Very disappointed.

Improvised front check in. Elevator was in the back of the hotel without signage. Proper signs other than exists were no place to be seen. Hotel looked like it had gone bankrupt and was purchased recently. No privacy curtain or shade on windows. Covered pickup truck near front entrance. Tall grass around building with no flowers or plants. Two huge trees covering the entrance sign from 28th street, one of the busiest in Grand Rapids. Hotel operators was unwilling to reverse 2nd night stay. Stayed one night and had enough and left with notice. This hotel was not as advertised.

I would say the walls could be cleaner but overall i like the hotel for the price & the pool doesn’t close until 11 which is good

Pros - Zero issues checking in or out - staff were courteous. - cheaper choice to nearby options Cons - smoke smell in non smoking room - strong Marijuana smell in elevators - photos advertising place seem to be years ago, looks far more run down and unkept that had originally appeared - strange location and entry way - cost was too high for what we actually got

The room’s furniture was a hot mess but the bed was comfy and the staff was nice

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful. But the grass around building was unkept and that was our first impression. We did not use the pool, but it looked very nice.

I'd rate it as a high 3 stars. Clean but not impressive. Staff is kind but not stellar. Pool was nice and clean but not to picture. There were some cosmetic concerns like the damaged elevator. Overall safe and my stay was quite. I had to manually turn air on in room but it worked well. Would stay again. I do feel it's overpriced for what you get.

This was the worst hotel I have stayed in near the airport in Grand Rapids. Because all flights were cancelled 7/19/24 due to IT issues, everyone needed a place to stay. The floors were dirty in the room. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the bathroom. The whole hotel had a very strange smell. Curry??? I would have left if I could have found another room somewhere else.

The hotel was under construction so there was material and trash through the whole first floor. The smell of paint was only overpowered by the stench of marijuana in the halls. There was an airport shuttle fee that we did not know about. The tattered plastic blind did not close all the way and so the malfunctioning (Blinking) light outside our window came the the blind ~~ blinking all night long

Spent the night after a day at a local theme park. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice, but I’m not certain if this is a hotel in transition or in the process of renovation? Pros: good location, large room, generally quiet at night. Cons: mold/peeling walls in bathroom, hallways smell strongly of marijuana and cooking spices, generally poorly kempt accommodations with stained carpets and broken furniture. I would have known this had I read reviews prior to booking.

They only have one luggage cart and we had heavy dialysis equipment to carry in. We lost our water for over an hour until they got it fixed. After dinner we got back and prepared to do dialysis and realized after an hour my socks and my husband’s feet were black from the floor. I realize they were doing renovations but the cleanliness should not suffer.

Ac didn’t work wouldn’t move rooms or discount

Upon arriving to the check in desk in the lobby we had to walk on paper covering the floor, the facility was being painted. We could smell it. There were painting supplies everywhere. we were given a room for handicap people. There was a broken bathroom chair. The toilet seat cover was very wobbly. The dressers were too old and drawers did not close tightly, very loud noise when people in the next room above were using the water. 2 days did not change towels or clean room.

The rooms were disgusting, stains all over the walls and curtains, the bathtub was rusty and the floors were filthy.

property felt under construction but didnt seem like any work was being done. power went out my second day and they refused to check me out or refund me. pool was a little murky and could use some ph balance. good location as far as restaurants and close to airport. but probably wont be back

Not the best place to stay… best part was having the pool to ourself for the few hours we did swim.. with some renovations going maybe things can start looking a little better there!
