The breakfast is the best part of the stay. South building is quite far away from the main building where is for checking in and dropping off

This hotel was a huge disappointment for my family and I, although it looks modern, the rooms are old and the bathrooms are moldy, the hotel is located in an area that has a lot of manufacturers therefore there is a lot of contamination, the service was terrible and staff was rude, while I was there I noticed that there were not many American tourists, mostly Asian tourists, although the hotel claims they have plenty of restaurants they are are not for foreigners, only for Asians, but that is something I noticed in other cities in Japan as well, Japanese people are not very welcoming to tourists.

The hotel is a very well established famous hotel in Kobe Japan. However, the location is very inconvenient.

We loved the Portopia Hotel. It felt very resort- like, with great amenities. We actually chose it because of the outdoor pool, and even though we had to pay an additional fee to use the pool, it was worth it, as it was never crowded and was super clean and well staffed. We actually felt a fee kept numbers down which was good. We also loved the breakfast buffet - the best of our whole trip. And the view - 30th floor buffet, just beautiful. The staff were really friendly and helpful, from front desk to housekeeping. We particularly loved the housekeeping team who greeted us every day! And location, while away from down town, the free and regular shuttle was fantastic, quick and regular. We highly recommend this hotel and if we are in Kobe again will definitely stay here again. The hotel offered many restaurants. The quality was just acceptable. Breakfast needed to have more food selection. Room was clean with nice harbourview.

Our stay at portopia hotel was great, however we booked the hotel because it advertised that they have a gym, pool and laundry. Once we arrived, we were told all the amenities are an extra charge per day. Laundry was by item so if we were to do our laundry it would cost 100s of dollars. The restaurants in the hotel look really great, but are expensive and open late, close during the middle of the day, and close early at night. There are not really any other restaurants in the area.

Great breakfast buffet and the hotel upgraded my room at the check in. The customer service is excellent.

The location was good to the airport.

It is near to Kobe Airport and it is convenient. The hotel room is clean and staffs are very friendly.

Easy access to Kobe Airport

Considering it is an international hotel, it was a quiet and comfortable place to stay. The guest room I stayed was spacious, comparing to those in business hotels. The fixtures were slightly outdated for today’s standard, but there was no problem of using them. I was glad to find a convenience store that was open till late. It is located with easy access to Kobe Airport and Kobe Sannomiya Stations.

Excellent overall - a hotel where all works, easy access to downtown or airport. Professionally run. Very convenient to access conference venues or the Kobe airport.

Very nice hotel, with very friendly staff. Speaks English well too. Room is clean and sufficient room for 2 persons to move around. Would be nice if the aricon is quieter and the pillow fluffier 😁

Affordable dining options are limited on the island. You have to drive to Sannomiya to find more options. Room cleaning is mediocre and doesn’t always take out the trash or provide a water bottle.

A little far away from the city center but with good connection though subway and free shuttle bus every 30min. It is good if you want to relax and disconnect from the big and crowded Japanese cities. We loved Kobe for that reason. Lovely city

The staff were incredibly helpful with the few questions I had. Friendly as well. Really enjoyed my stay here. The view was amazing and the overall atmosphere was very relaxing.

During our stay in Japan, transportation wasn't readily available, making it fortunate that a train station was within a five-minute walking distance. The staff exhibited exceptional kindness, and the room was of superb quality!

Amazing looking hotels with a small shopping arcade and convenient store within. Nice interior. All staffs are there to stand ready to answer any of your inquiry. Free shuttle service to and fro from nearest train station(Sannomiya and shin Kobe). One of the best hotel I stayed in Japan:)
