This hotel was amazing! It was in a great location as well. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The little cafe inside is perfect!

Affordable, clean, safe motel just south of San Diego. Easy and free parking. Close to the highway. Shower head and pressure was amazing.

Had a nice stay here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Place was clean and I also noticed the cleaning staff cleaning the outside walk ways which I never notice at any places I’ve been to, very impressive. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Definitely will book here again

The weather was great. The air was fresh outside. I walked into the motel room and it smelled like not pleasant not fresh a little too much like cleaner I had to get used to the smell. It wasn’t dirty. I loved the high water pressure in the shower. Lots of hot water and tons of volume. Who cares about the environment when you have such a great experience in the shower

The fun atmosphere was remarkable, especially for the price. We had fun in the arcade, at the pool and playing a large jenga game by the fire outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The Trolley blue line was only about a three minute walk, which was so convenient. I can’t wait to go back!

Very clean and very respectful and welcoming staff. Our room was right in front of the pool, so we could hear people the following morning, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Definitely would stay here again. The food in the café was actually really good and fairly priced too.

The staff was so friendly. The room and beds were comfortable. We arrived a night earlier than expected and they accommodated us. I will definitely be back.

For the most part, everything was great. I agree with others when they say it would be nice to have a refrigerator and a microwave. Also, the landline telephone didn’t work. I look at that as a necessity. Yes, I have a cell phone, but you never know.

The Rambler was better than I thought it was going to be. The room was comfortable and clean. The only issue for me was the bathroom was small and there were 3 of us but only got 2 towels. The beds were a good size, and it was quiet overall. No parties or loud neighbors. The staff was friendly and the lobby area was nicely designed for a younger age vibe. It has seating areas, video games, coffee bar and eatery. I recommend it if you want a decent place to stay and save money.

So amazing will definitely be back!! Staff was beyond amazing...the gentleman during the day and the woman at night. The coffee shop attached gives guests 40% off..the food was superb and was EXTREMELY affordable. Definitely recommend the Avocado Toast and the Turkey Club. The rooms were spacious, AC worked great, shower had great water pressure. Cute motif in the rooms , parking was easy and they closed the gate so i didnt feel like my car was easily accessible to outsiders while i was asleep. 10/10 cant wait to visit again Thanks Rambler Staff ... doing it the way it should be done everywhere!

Great location, you can see the bay from the parking lot and restaurant on site. Right off of I-5. Old motel, but has been updated well. It has a cool retro theme and vibe. The restaurant gives you a discount as a guest, and had lots of good options at a reasonable price for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you are looking for a comfy and chill place to crash with good access to the area, this is a great place to stay.

Conveniently located next to the trolley for cheap transport anywhere in the city. Good pool area and great room discount on breakfast. Room and bathroom was really nice and clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

Our stay was good. Didn’t spend much time in the room as Sea World and the Zoo are close. However the coffee shop took forever and our coffee was just okay.

The property was clean and the decor was fun. The beds were comfortable and the shower faucet was great. The AC and traffic from the freeway were loud. It was conveniently located to the freeway but the surrounding area was a little sketchy. Good value for the price for a quick vacation.

Though it looked clean, I saw a water bottle and other stiff behind the bed when I was looking for an outlet. The only place I found to plug into was the bedside clock.
In the shower they have 3 "boxes" on the wall that contain "body wash," "shampoo," and "shampoo." It took a few tries to figure out how to use these "boxes." There was a tiny soap bar by the sink and that was it for cleaning materials.
The pool area had done movie playing Saturday night with the volume cranked way up. It was more than loud enough to necessitate me cranking up the volume of the room TV. The TV had no streaming services, just typical TV channels.
This place looks like it was built in the 70s. Remodel a little y'all.
Overall, it was just a room. If you just need a flop for the night, it's adequate and no more.
