Beautiful on the beach

When we checked in, I went to bathroom I saw 2 spiders on the floor. One was dead and the other was crawling on the floor. When I informed the same to the lady at front desk she just told that she'll someone to remove those spiders. Even the floor had a stains on it. We're expecting at least a room change instead of a refund. Upon following up with Expedia agent. Finally she agreed to move to another room. The lady at the front desk was to mean. This is ridiculous. The room which they gave was good but there's a way of dealing the complaints I guess she wasn't trained for that. Even while asking for a refund she simply proclaimed we can't give a refund.

Definitely would like to see a fan in the bathrooms for ventilation. Would be nice to have the campground staff start a fire at the fire pits by the beach at night for people to enjoy. Knob was broken in fridge which made the temperature hard to adjust. Fridge was also slanted really bad. Lamp was broken and did not work.

The place was clean and the area was very quiet. the room was comfortable and in good shape. I would stay there again. Keep up the good work.

Beach location

This property was really dirty and out dated , there were holes in the bathroom wall that had tissue shoved in the holes , there were exposed wires behind the door that went to the TV, floors were dirty and the slider screen door to the balcony was ripped all down the side , the only good thing was the view out the side on the balcony

Rooms Need new carpeting

The table in the room was in need of repair. The rubber on the steps leading up to the second floor needed replacement. The room was clean

The location was good but the property needs much updating for the prices you are charging. I won't stay there again.

Beach access was great and the bed was comfortable

It is very close to the ferries and downtown but the beach in front of hotel is dirty and rooms need updating bad. Staff works with you to help but not the best place to pick.

Came with 1 year old and expected clean room but it was third class most dirtiest room I have ever lived in 15 years . Carpet were smelling like garbage can . Roof had spider webs on top of the bed . Furniture wasn’t clean. Swear to god don’t ever go to this super 8 . Spend more but go anywhere else . This is my 1st ever review in my whole lifetime . Trust me stay away

rude staff at desk dirty room

It was surface clean, but needed some work.

The mattress was not good. The light fixtures were falling off the wall. Not much for outlets and charging.

The room was clean and reasonably comfortable and the view was amazing. Fireworks were awesome too. The bed did not have the right size sheets on it, but we made it work with out much issue. The phone didn’t work but that was not a big deal except that we had to go to the front desk of the Best Western at 2am because we couldn’t call. Remote for the tv didn’t work until we discovered there was an external device plugged in that you had to point the remote directly at. This was behind the tv stand and we had to dig it out. Shower water would either keep getting hotter until you couldn’t stand it (even when it was all the way on cold) or kept getting cold until you couldn’t stand it. The front desk attendant was extremely helpful every time we needed anything. Overall, a good trip despite the extremely minor inconveniences

No continental breakfast but the site said continental breakfast was included. They only had coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Rooms could use some tlc. Shower a little moldy.

The lady at the desk was always friendly and very helpful. The hotel is old but they are working on updating. Our room had laminate floors and we saw them tearing out carpet in other rooms. We had a balcony facing the water. This was great due to we had a toddler. It allowed us to have coffee in the morning and drinks at night with her sleep schedule. The bed had 3 very small pillows each. I wish I'd remembered to bring my own. It was convenient. We walked everywhere except to Darrows for breakfast.

The property is fairly old and not updated. Room was so so.

The hotel was right one the water and that was nice. The hotel did have a pool but it was dirty and did not smell like a pool should. The website also said that there was laundry available - a self service coin operated laundry, but there is none on site. You have to go to the hotel next to them to use their services.

It seemed to me that they change the sheets on the bed, towels in the bathroom. The rest of the room left much to be desired or cleaned. Coupon for meals was helpful.

If you dont have any standards for yourself or your family then this is the place to be. I had high expectations because of the Wyndam name. Never again will my family choose this as i value our safety. We did not stay. We could not stay. Children were 11 and 13 and when they said it was "disgusting". We ran. You would think for the price it was up to date---negative. Pictures on website are not the reality. What happened Wyndam? We rated it 1. Does not even deserve a number. Your likely to walk away with illness or broken bones. We did not dare take the chance.

Disappointing, served its purpose for a quick one night stay but couldn’t have gotten out of there faster. Room was dirty, saw two spiders in their webs in the room, wore flip flops the entire time including in the shower. Only highlight was location, town was walkable and room was right on the water. Did think about just going non refunded to somewhere else.

Overall, staff was great but lots could be improved/updated upon. Breakfast - doesn’t exist really… no biggie, but overall cleanliness is hard with a general ambiance that’s a bit worn and out of date. Beds were comfortable, shower was strong but short for a 6’ person. Room service missed us 2 of the 4 days - we were out and about a lot so much of this didn’t rally matter but it is noticeable. Lots could be improved upon by ownership

There were gnats all over the room. Dried poop on the side of toilet. Joint and tobacco all over the bathroom floor and carpet. The room was so gross

The hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. Peeling wall paper, stained bathroom floor and a jacuzzi tub that was incredibly loud. BUT the staff is friendly and efficient. The location on the beach was worth it. Waking up and looking out on the water and walking steps to the beach made for an incredible trip. The jacuzzi was huge and relaxing when the jets weren’t on. We apologize to the adjacent rooms when we turned the jets on since it sounded like an airplane taking off.

Air conditioner did nkt work well. Rooms carpet needs to be replaced. Bathroom needs to be updated. Fell in bathtub while taking a shower because there was no nonskid strips
