It’s a great hotel with a private beach. Quite an old school style beach hotel with big swimming pool suitable for relaxing. Air condition system in the room with funny smell sometimes , it may need to be improved. Nearby doesn’t have too many restaurants if not driving , however Uber/taxi is fine, no Uber eat delivery in that area is a pity, however we do enjoy our nine nights stay. Hotel staffs are all quite polite and helpful. I like the beach with great sand very much. We will definitely think about coming back on next vacation.

A beautiful hotel with a stunning beach, we were upgraded to a huge room with an amazing ocean view when we arrived. The water activities were diverse and you can snorkel straight off the beach at low tide. A few minor cons - there was quite a significant wait for the buffet breakfast every morning, there was a ticket system and you were called in order but most mornings we waited 15-20 minutes to enter the dining room, which is not something we have ever experienced in other hotel stays. Our bed was 2 large (king single/double size) beds pushed together, which left a gap in the middle of the bed, but the twin rather than double room seems to be pretty common in Japan. Also, be prepared to drive if you want to explore further than the resort grounds as public transport seems to be very limited in Okinawa. Overall it was a relaxing end to our Japanese holiday.

Nice location and beach. Very old hotel and at breakfast wait was 45mins for a table

Beautiful property with amazing pool. Beaches are very nice. Only negative is location is far from dining restaurants and transportation. Poolside has no bar to buy food or drinks. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Outside of that it’s very beautiful location.

I thought the interior of the lobby and the main portion of the hotel was in pretty good shape. However, any of the carpets in the halls on the main floor on the halls on the guest room floors and in the guest rooms was really dirty and needs to be replaced. I also thought the guestrooms were a little outdated. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls. I think they would’ve been better off to stucco the walls like they did the main level of the lobby floor. Restaurants were great for breakfast and we were able to eat at all three of the restaurants. I thought the shopping areas were all very nice as well. The pool deck really needs to be power washed and seemed kind of dingy as well as all the walking areas outside. The beach was absolutely beautiful and the views were to die for. All staff was absolutely wonderful. All in all I’m not sure I would stay again, but I would consider it.

My family loved the pool as it has a kid-friendly area and it looks very well maintained. We loved the delicious breakfast buffet and staff were great!! I personally loved the old-rustic-spanish style kind of vibes of the hotel. The only thing I can think of in the room that we stayed at was a black out curtain. Overall this place is amazing and would definitely go back again!!

The restaurant Verdemar had absolutely the BEST food I have tasted!

Ocean view was absolutely breath taking and beautiful. The service was generally good. We were at this hotel in 2007. So, we noticed that the service was not in full swing after the long Covid business damage period. Lounge with bar only open until 6pm was disappointing. The management’s budget cut was quite obvious. Breakfast was available at three restaurants and they all had variety of selections which was entertaining, but the line to get in at peak time around 8am was 75 minutes wait everyday which was ridiculous. Plus, the screen pad machine that gives you a ticket to be in line is only in Japanese language though there were many guests from China and Western countries. This created confusion and disappointment to many guests. We couldn’t believe the management is not doing anything about it. While breakfast was really good, dinner at Hana Hana buffet and Brasserie V were average and blunt, plus the waiter only poured wine up to 2cm high in glass very little. Overall we enjoyed the beach & pool and stay but it was not convincing enough for us to think of coming back here in the future again.

It took so long to go through the process of check-in and check-out. The people there were not able to speck in English. They were not able to issue an official invoice. They accounting was so poor. It seems they were disconnected with the information from hotels, com. It is uncommon in Japan.

We loved staying at this hotel. The room was spacious thought little outdated. Nice beach and pool. We liked breakfast buffet. We recommend renting a car for a part of the trip since it’s not close to town.

I think me and my family had some really good days in the hotel. The things I believe they could work on/improve is to establish a gym. That is expected for such a large and fairly expensive hotel. Also the food in the restaurant was ok but it became a bit “ boring” to eat all meals there. It takes some time to go to other places to eat if you have no access to a car or do not want to take a cab. The restaurants in the hotel were expensive compared to the quality of what you get.

EVERYTHING IS GOOD FOR ME, I WILL HIGHLY RECOMMENDE IT TO MY FRIENDS.

Tissage hotel was a convenient stop for a day before departing Naha. Check in was smooth and the rooms were clean. Initial room they gave us had a musty smell so they changed us to another room which also later had the smell and I probably think it comes from the air conditioner.. the room is very cozy though- not even a queen size bed but more of a double and one side is squished towards the wall.. there is no wardrobe only some hangers. Bathroom is adequate with all amenities and water pressure is very good. For vegetarians there is an Indian Nepalese restaurant just round the corner.. monorail station is 10 min away and there are convenience stores around this hotel. If you want to relax in the hotel this is not the place for you.. however if you are just transiting Naha for a day or two then it’s ideal for the price you are paying.

Disgusting. Deathtrap. Mould on ceilings in main eating areas. Slime and mould on tiled floors in front and behind hotel, muddy and slimy driveway, surrounding pool, external doors, and green and mouldy black floors in pool toilets.
There is a single bar as part of the lobby lounge which has. Only one bartender in the entire hotel who stops work at 6pm, last orders at 530pm, I missed this on my birthday by 2 mins and they refused entry to the lounge and would not take my order.
Rude staff asked me to remove my hotel slippers although I had no other shoes to wear.
Porters just stood their idly while we carried our own bags out during checkout.
Once you get there they tell you to pay per entry per person to the indoor pool which is overcrowded, not included with room price.
Mark on walls, peeling wallpaper, dirty floors, scrapes and scratches, poor paintwork.
Parking machine was broken.
Weeds and uncut grass around the property.
Green and black mould on stairs, internal and external walls.
Two of the restaurants were closed.
Buffet didn't have any fruit and cost $300 for four adults and two kids, food was not good, filled up on blue seal ice cream because we couldn't find any decent food in the buffet. We arrived at 1:45pm to drop our bags and explore the hotel and the check-in staff refused to talk to us and provide information and sissucx the room, and asked us to go and wait until check-in time. I will never stay in an Okura hotel chain hotel ever again.not worthy of 3 stars

The property and views are breathtaking, and the staff are so incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast and lunch buffets are excellent, and although dinner was good, it was overpriced, and as soon as it’s closing time, they rush you out.
The surroundings are farmland, but there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance, as well as a go-kart track. Aside from that, you definitely have to rely on taxis to get around. I think it was around $40 to American Village. Also, there are snorkeling attractions within 15 minutes, and I believe that cost roughly $12 by taxi.
Also, there is only one spot at the hotel that could MAYBE be considered a bar, and that’s the snack bar by the beach. To that end, don’t expect a beach bar like you would see in the US.
All in all, I would recommend this hotel, but just a heads up: resorts here are nothing like those in the US or Caribbean, so just be prepared for that.

We love staying at this hotel. The view from our balcony was just magnificent. Definitely will come back again.

The hotel has an excellent location, but it is isolated. The hotel has not been updated in 10+ years and is not clean in general.

Me and my husband were with a our kid ( 10 years old) on a breakfast and waiter put us to special room there was only famalies with little kids and one family with adalt menthal disabled person. So personally we felt like we was isolated from other normal peoples. . To be honest it was not good experience. However Other services, room view was good so generally impression was ok!

Beautiful old world setting. Needs a little work (chipped tiles and paint and walls), staff at restaurants were not friendly at front desk. Did not allow us to take extra food my grandchild didn't eat. I would understand if it was a buffet but it was a regular restaurant in the hotel. Bellhops and stores very nice. No english speaking channels on tv and not able to make cc English. Little more expensive than comparative hotels.

The hotel seemed dated. It is in a beautiful area with very nice views, however the interior appeared to need some TLC.
Check in was different than other Nikko branded hotels in that we have visited, in that we were not shown to the room even though there were plenty of staff members in the lobby area. The room was adequate, however it had a musty smell, but could have been due to the room being carpeted rather than tiled in a humid climate. The beds were terrible. We had originally scheduled for a 4 day stay, but after the second day, we checked out without expecting a refund as we had prepaid, and booked another hotel. When explaining our situation with the uncomfortable bed, the front desk staff seemed unapologetic but did send someone to our room as we were packing to ask if we wanted to switch rooms. As we had already booked and paid for another hotel, we declined.
The breakfast buffet was very good. The restaurant staff were also very friendly. The pool area was very nice and the beach was convenient and very scenic.

Lovely stay at the Hotel Nikko despite the weather. The facilities are fantastic and the staff very happy to help with any requests.
It is situated on an idyllic beach with plenty of water toys to hire.
However, guests should be aware in bad weather, the indoor pool is only open from 2pm. The Hotel bar closes at 5.30pm also.
Rooms are spacious and we had a fantastic view of the turquoise waters in the bay.

Many comments say the hotel furniture is outdated, but that's not the case. For me, the hotel style is kind of rustic, but they are not outdated at all.
The room was wide, and we had a nice balcony with a sea view. The pool was great, and the beach was on the hotel property.
Honestly, I prefer this resort in Yomitan rather than staying in Naha City. It's not crowded, and you can quickly drive to any tourist place.
The only point to consider is that the resort is relatively isolated, so if you're looking for bars and restaurants, this might not be your best option.

Beautiful hotel and its service staffs are awesome. Nice touch with the live music in the morning, that is very nice.
The beach and pool are clean, we really did enjoy everything.
We hope the hotel has a gym in the premise in the future, as it would be great during rainy days. :)

We enjoyed our relaxing beachside stay and made use of the indoor pool and sauna (at a separate charge), outdoor pool and nearby beach. The rooms were spacious and amenities were generous. Staff were generally helpful too.

This is a fabulous hotel and provided us with a much needed R&R break after a wonderful but hectic tour of Japan main cities. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay, the accommodation was spot on, the multiple restaurants provided lots of variety and quality food. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area was peaceful and the beach and sea beautiful. Couldn’t have asked for more!

The staff was excellent! Especially during the Tsunami warnings. I watched as they stayed calmed and urged customers to come indoors from the pool area. As we were getting the warnings on our phones. The restaurant staff kept us informed. A special Thank you to Sayaka for answering our questions, setting up our golf tee time and spa appointments and even mailing a package for me! Thank you to Iwase for my wonderful massage he was very professional and Maria for my facial! 2 days of feeling special! Our waiter at Sawa Restaurant was patient at explaining our food. He suggested the Lobster with Uni sauce, my favorite after eating everything!

Very nice hotel. Nice pool and lovely beach♥️
Service and hotel was good. In the middle of nowhere with very dark roads (not made for pedestrians) so definitely need a car. Or do like us and walk around on the roads and take taxi at night. Took the bus there. Not easy but manageable.
Nice restaurants as well.
