7\10 they have a lovely bed and a amazing view, room service and the restaurant were a bit slow but over all the hotel was nice.

great location to and from airport. good location and walking distance to shops , churches. dissapointing ute couldnt fit in car park., which left us without a car.

The service in restaurant was very slow on Saturday evening and very limited food choices. We still enjoyed our stay and would use again.

I had a wonderful few days at the Stamford Glenelg for a conference recently. The staff were exceptionally approachable and helpful whenever I interacted with them. The rooms and facilities used for the conference and associated events were also nicely appointed and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was a wonderful addition as it removed the need to think about what to do for that and there was a good diversity in the options offered to satisfy. The gym facilities are well-maintained and easy to access which meant I was able to get in a little training around my other commitments. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had been under the impression (from photos) that my room would have a bathtub which it did not, so I felt a little deprived of that option for relaxing at the end of the day.

Hotel desperately in need of an upgrade.

The customer service was just so disappointing. I booked for 1 night including a $50 food voucher. We arrived at 9.10pm on the Friday night to be told the promenade was closed and to dine at the bar. Explained I flew in from Bali this morning to see my father who was on his last day or 2 of life & my daughter and I were beyond exhausted after a day at the palliative care ward, so could we please use our credit for room service. Was told no, so went to the bar to be told the kitchen was closed. Went back to reception to ask given the kitchens were all closed, please could we use our paid credit for room service to be again told that’s not the policy. Thankfully asking to speak to a manager, we were allowed to use. Unfortunately there was nothing gluten free so we ended up getting Uber eats. Booked another 2 nights as my father was holding on longer than predicted, but was told could not use that $50 credit that I paid in advance for because that was on the previous booking. It was all so disappointing that there’s no flexibility and that I wasn’t told we couldn’t use it as room service. Again asked to speak to the manager and finally they agreed to allow it to be used later that night. The hotel is lovely I agree. But the staff have zero interest in being accommodating. Nothing is open around the hotel from around 8.30/9 at night or I would have gone out to get food. And given they know this, it’s super weird they weren’t helpful, especially given circumstances.

I booked a lovely twin room with ocean view. Beautiful view, bery large room Bathroom was lovely, although the fan didn't work. Great service. Champagne on arrival. Help woth our bahs arrival and check out. Great central spot

Nice short stay (one night only). Room was spacious, clean and tidy. Staff were relaxed and friendly while still professional.

The Stamford is in need of some maintenance and upgrading. The staff were wonderful and the restaurant and cocktail bar were great. The condition of the carpet and bathroom needs upgrading.

On arrival the concierge was so rude, I have stayed in your hotel once or twice a week for months and this is the reception that people get .. disgusted will stay elsewhere

Wonderful overnight stay. Room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful ocean view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Love some of the incentives offered to house guests such as choosing no room service (on longer stays) earns you $10 on F&B. Also availability of streamcasting. Excellent value and will go back.

We had a great weekend. Walkable to so many places, or just a short uber ride to others. Hotel was clean, staff were very helpful and friendly.

Lovely stay, the grand is still a great destination just some areas getting a little tired. The pool spa And sauna area was shut the whole time we were there which was disappointing as we wanted to use the sauna. It would be better if guests could access the sauna regardless of weather

They take a $100 bond for everynight of the stay. Reception staff are not helpful and dismissive.

Upgraded room but they gave a smaller room because reception staff decided that I didn't need the room because there was only one person.
