This hotel is run down an in need of service and repairs

My family and I are very low maintenance family and just need a place to sleep and I don't usually write reviews. But to save others… this place is Dirty, Musky, Deteriorating Facility, Cockroaches, Unsafe, Cigarette smell through out the hotel. My spouse had allergies for 5 nights, the moment we left all her allergies were gone. Workers stay on the third floor, eat throughout the hallway, and hang out next to your vehicles. Expedia couldn't get a hold of staff when i was trying to cancel my remaining stay. DO NOT STAY HERE… or you can try it out and add to my review.

No Wifi connection, very dusty and dirty plenty dust in the rooms, there no room services daily, I have to call and request for room service

Obviously they do not clean the room. I found a dead cockroaxh in my room when I checked in. Full of hairs were left in shower. They offered me a room change but hair all over the floor and bath tub. Really disgusting. No wifi nor internet working. Terrible example of 'should have stayed somewjere else'

There was a dusty and mildew smells in the room.

There was no air conditioning and the rooms smelled moldy. The guests checked out the same day as check in.

Need to fix WiFi keeps on disconnecting But mostly not able to connect..

I like the location,near restaurants and stores ,the room was clean and big ,the staff was also very friendly ☺️

In my opinion, the management should schedule regular maid services. They stated you have to request. As well as, lock after them when they enter the room (Maid service). Back sliding doors was open. One night, it seems as someone tried to enter the room. The sliding doors were open a foot, and curtains open, i was in shock. Began to look around the room and even checked my belongings, luckily nothing was missing. Do not stay on the 6th. Floor Cabana, Rooms. The smell of Marijuana and suspicious people walking around.

The closet did not have a cloth hanger. Room safs was not working. But overall, the room was good. There is a convenient store and a local restaurant next door. The shuttle stop is only about 3 minutes and stops at various shopping outlets.

The property is very clean, Room was large and cozy comparing it to the price I paid, Location is excellent, the staff was always friendly and very courteous, nice dining places within walking distance.

The staff was the best part of this hotel. Sadly, the room I was given did not have a working thermostat. The room was hot, humid, and stuffy. It smelled like paint.

The room AC was no working properly.

Front desk staff was accommodating. Hotel was nice and clean. Conveniently located next to restaurants.

Staffs are friendly

TV not wrkng, there is no telephone in the room. We stayed for 3 nights n have to move to 3 different rooms. Hardly any wifi. Very run down.,

Front desk was pretty good 👍 got to room and televiosn did not work but front desk took care of it. Room was supposed to have a tub shower/shower combo but it did not. As well as the shower did not have warm water. While disappointing, the below bar and resturant made the stay better.

The Royal Orchid was once THE place to stay on Guam, so when I decided to travel back to Guam for the first time in nearly 20 years, there was no doubt that I would be staying anywhere else than The Royal Orchid. Sadly, the hotel as deteriorated with, for example, periodically leaking ceilings over the bath, no hot water at times, mould on the air condition vents and housekeeping not received until 5.30pm and, even when we asked for an earlier housekeeping, we got earlier...at 4.00pm. This was once THE hotel on Guam to stay, but sadly not anymore. It's definitely cheaper than others, but do yourself a favour and spend the few extra dollars to stay at one of the bigger name hotels/resorts.

Good hotel good value. One issue was shower water pressure was low. Over all good value

The room is really good. Very comfortable bed. Hope they have in room dining.

Musty smell in hallways. Musty smell in rooms. Stains on bed and chair. Air conditioning temperature was not consistent. No hot water from shower or sink. Parking garage needs more lighting and parking stalls need to repainted. Random people loitering in parking garage all times of the day (safety concern)

Convenient to shopping and eating establishments.

Hotel staff were friendly and responsive to my requests

Smelled of mold and air conditioner was not adequately cooling the room.

There is a beautiful beach near this hotel.

Escalator and one of the two elevators were broken, and signs to find the check-in were not very helpful. After finding the check-in the staff on duty were more interested in a prior guest's check-in status than they were with helping me, and were rather distracted and unfriendly. The morning staff were helpful and kind however. Staffing issues aside, the whole fifth floor smelled strongly of mold, and the refrigerator in my room was broken and leaking all over. The bed was comfortable enough but overall, would not recommend.

cons At first , I sent queries at reservation without any reply. Second at arrival , no elevator nor escalator to the check in counter was not working. Later escalator was sometimes working only downward and the hand belt on the left side wasn't moving ! The room was triple partial ocean view , yes it was but full garbage dump view which was not welcome. Amenities were fine , but no cleaning was not done for the first morning and asked at the counter. She said , it's asked if you need clean up at check in. None asked at our check in though. No ＣLEAN UP sign at the door , only DD , so you better/need to confirm at check in if not asked. Shower head was rubbish. Some guys smoking in rooms on check out morning and told the counter. Very noisy guest on a night till in the early morning. Not the hotel's fault. pros Japanese style a## cleaning toilet was great. Chinese one , but worked surprisingly fine. Tony Roma in the hotel (but room charge was not available) , Jamaican Grill , Beach'n Shrimp , a Cafe and ABC store are next door. Beach is several minute walk straight across the front road. Overall enjoyed the stay. Need to understand they got hit both by pandemic and very strong hurricane. They are still recovering and hope they will be fine again soon.
