Nice hotel, still don't understand $15 per day for car parking when you consider the cost of a nights stay.

Was only there one night, was surprised they told me there is a $15 parking fee when your site says taxes and fees included. If I go to Walmart or the mall, I don’t pay for parking, what is the difference? Is it not the price of them doing business? If they had no parking for their customers, they would not have customers.

First off $15 for parking is absurd, we will never again stay at a Marriott, this is gouging in our opinion. Staff is not but not pleasant either, they seem indifferent, friendliness should be offered to everyone, it doesn't cost anything. Rooms were a bit worn, trim and baseboards mostly. Check in at earliest 4pm and check out by 11am is not very considerate to guests, industry standard you say? Think like a guest trying to get to previously scheduled events and reassess, please.

When we first checked into our room it smelled of severe mold and water damage. And our bed was damp. They moved us to a different room but it wasn't much better. We were then surprised by the fact that they had charged us for parking when we were told there would be no fee for parking our car. This place is really terrible. Not the mention the people at the front desk had no personality or helpfulness whatsoever. We will recommend this place for people NOT to stay here.

The room was sooooo muggy that the bathroom floor was completely wet and slipery the entire stay. My bathing suit didnt even dry overnight! The hallways were just as bad. The towels were all still wet.

Loved this hotel and the pools we had access to. Very clean and attentive staff. Lots to do for the kids. Loved it. Will definitely be back.

Excellent place to go with the family

What we needed was a fun hotel with a great pool for our kids for the weekend and with three pools- two with water slides which didn’t feel crowded even on a long weekend, it was great. There’s ziplining/eockckimbing which we couldn’t do bc of the rain is a small extra cost. Having an onsite bar and restaurant/cafe was a great bonus as well. Breakfast in the morning was pretty much the same as other hotels that offer the hot buffet breakfast. One tip would be that the Mickey Mouse waffle station is probably the busiest line and it’s very time-consuming. Since it’s already popular, the staff should consider making these waffles ahead of time and just keeping them warm because it seem like everyone wanted the waffles. It would greatly reduce on time people spend in the breakfast area and help things move more efficiently. The room we stayed in was a bit outdated- towel racks were falling apart. The pullout couch mattress was so rusty but putting extra mattress toppers and sheets on it helped. Kids said it was very comfortable. More storage and hanging space would’ve been great.

It's alright. The staff up front was friendly and the room cleaners did a good job. The people trying to sell their timeshare (they wont admit its timeshare) are super pushy into you visiting their other resorts and getting your info. Trust me you'll find them, or i should say they'll find you. Also please have another 1 or 2 more of the mickey waffle maker. I did not eat their breakfast because the sausage and eggs were always cold, and there was a line of 40 people once because somebody made like 30 waffles. Either have a sign making it so that theres a limit on how much you can make, or just invest in another 2 or 3 more waffle makers.

Reception staff are welcoming and friendly. Breakfast is the same every day - pork sausage, eggs, waffles and an oatmeal bar. Beds are comfortable and rooms were clean but the hotel has a musty odor that I suspect is poor ventilation. The lobby and breakfast area on the first floor is the only place that doesn’t smell musty. The hallways and rooms just smell like stale air. Our shower had no traction at all so it was very easy to slip and fall. We ended up using towels on the shower floor so we wouldn’t slip. This hotel is unfortunately badly in need of updates and maintenance. Our mini fridge was very very small and had the ice plate broken so the door wouldn’t close with food in it. Maintenance came quickly to switch it out and was very polite. Overall, the staff are friendly and helpful here and the hotel has some extras that are nice. There’s 3 pool areas plus rock climbing wall, splash pad, sports courts that are shared between the three hotels on the property. I would recommend considering one of the other hotels where you can still use the amenities but maybe the property is better upkept. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again even though the people were nice.

There is a noise that must be from machines that is not good, and the smell of the bathroom is not pleasant. But it is a good hotel!

Room needs to be remodel carpet bit wore out and dusty curtain,lamp shade is broken and floor in bathroom has like sweat spot also almost slide and fell twice.

Nice hotel

We booked this for the water slide and pool as a staycation. Really sad to find out the slide had a 48" height minimum despite it dumping in 3ft of water. The smaller slides at another pool dumped in 5ft of water and babies were going down them with no minimums. The attendant running it only enforced the height minimum for some kids which was hard to explain to my kids. Otherwise, room was clean and roomy, the request to do the timeshare presentation wasnt too pushy and the minigolf was a nice addition! Guess we will be back when we hit 48"

All the amenities, pool/slide, outdoor activities

Calypso Cay Ammenities - beware, the rules for children change every day, inconsistent training amongst staff. For height requirements they will tell you something one day and change it up next day. My son was having a great time down using their slides all day and suddenly on the last day they changed staff and they didnt let him in because he was 2 inch below the requirement. I had a terrible last day due to them not being able to traing their staff properly Air conditioner leaked all throughout our stay our carpet was fully soaked and they didnt do anything at all. Sofa bed mattess smelled like pee and it was highly uncomfortable, I dont recommend sleeping there unless you want back pain. The lobby staff was amazing and friendly, they were very welcoming. The breakfast was okay, good options and very clean. The splash pad never worked, always under maintenance during our stay.
