This was a great property. I just picked it by chance and it ended up being a new favorite! The
Restaurants were amazing. The beds were comfortable. It was a great location. I especially love the decor. The chandeliers in the lobby and bar are gorgeous! I will definitely be back.

Lack of basic items, such as towels and shower caps. The shower space is tight even for girls under 130lbs. My friend was told to leave the breakfast table as she just ordered coffee.

I booked this hotel via Expedia, it was one of the pricy hotels with good reviews
However the facility seemed like it had been through a war the1. furniture was worn down 2.the elevator area had finger marks all over, the lobby furniture was dirty and extremely worn down i did not even was to sit in them 4. I got charged $88 extra for amenities that i did Not use, like bike rides
Overall i will NEVER stay here again and will discourage anyone from staying there overall it cost me $500 for one night stay

Super comfortable and quiet room with a nice view of the city. Great location to walk to little Italy for dinner, but the hotel restaurant was awesome too. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

Love the front desk and valet staff. Wait staff friendly, but not very observant. Comfortable and clean.

Not enough towels, no shower caps, phone wasn’t working. My friend was told to move to the side when she was having coffee in the lounge by one of the staff. Some of the front desk staff are nice and welcoming, the rest we felt like we owe them something. Booked on Expedia, has valet parking credit, but been told can’t use the credit and never heard of it. What a joke!

Very nice hotel in downtown San Diego, about a 10 minute walk to the harbor. Hotel is clean and modern. Staff, especially the bartenders, were friendly and helpful.

The biggest issue was we traveled on Friday July 19th which was the day of the IT outage. Due to that our flight to Minneapolis was delayed and we missed the connection flight. I called the hotel to let them know that we would not be able to get there for July 19th and would we be charged for that night. They told me since we booked through Hotels.com we could not. That was disappointing for us.

We came to San Diego for a sporting event and it was so convenient to stay at a gorgeous hotel, walk to the trolley, and ride to the stadium.

My cousin and I had the best experience at Republic. Everyone was super welcoming and very helpful. From the valet experience, to check in and our overall stay. The hotel is gorgeous and clean and walking distance to all the hotspots like Little Italy and Gaslamp Quarter. We will be back!

I was disappointed in the service of this property. I booked my stay a month prior for 4 adults in a Deluxe Room, 2 Double Beds, City View. When I was checking into the property I was told they did not have my room available it was already taken. Only thing they could do was upgrade our room to a king suite and provide a rollaway bed. We had not choice but to accept. We were told the rollaway bed would be brought to our room in approximately 15 mins. I followed up 4 times on the rollaway bed. It was not brought to our room until almost 11pm. We had to ask for an additional rollaway bed the following day as it was 4 of us in a room.
I was told booking through a third party does not guarantee you your room, I had never heard of this either.

Excellent staff and service. Clean rooms. Right in the middle between Gaslamp and Little Italy, both within walking distance. Super short drive to the zoo. Downtown area was sketchy. A lot of homeless and -not-all-there mentally folk which can't be helped. Would definitely stay again!

The restaurants in the hotel were very nice and the food was good. Our room was comfortable and we enjoyed the window seat.

We loved this very unique property from start to finish, however we were not expecting the $25 “Destination Fee” that was not spelled out when we booked through Expedia. This surprise turned us off for future stays. My advice for the future is call or email the property to find out what their hotel/property fees are before you book so that you won’t be surprised.

Had a great stay. Good location, walking distance to Little Italy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn’t give 5 stars because one of the furniture in our room was very scratched up and dirty and most of the outlets weren’t working.

Property is nice, staff is friendly. Beware that valet parking is $60 at the property but there's other walkable parking for $25 (without in-and-out privileges). They also charge $25 per night for a destination fee, but give you $25 per night to use at their F&B. I don't think that fee makes sense.

This hotel has no parking available for costumers, an you need to pay 60 dollars for valet parking you as well have to pay for the internet $9.95 for use. Front desk bad services and rude people. Do not recommend coming to this holtel, it's so expensive for what it is.
