Beautiful spot, very relaxing, nice beach, good breakfast and dinner. Loved the avocado-tomato-salad with a dressing of passion fruit.

The property had many changes since I was last there and it looked fantastic and very trendy and homely. The room was good but we never managed to get a hot shower. Staff were all very friendly, but other than breakfast the food really wasn’t great and very slow service. It’s a shame that these things let the hotel down as they could easily be rectified.

Very beautiful location, friendly staff, and great amenities. Above all, when my flight was rescheduled from midday to 8 pm they had no qualms about extending my stay at no cost to 6 pm. Super friendly!

Staff is amazing , deepak the food manager is amazing. White sands has boats to the island but they take your money and leave you there 2 days in a row the boat man did that I had to come with another resort boat . There was cockroaches all over the bathroom the more you clean it the more roaches come . White sands was my favourite resort now it’s run down , they advertise a spa when we booked a massage the spa employees did not show and it was out last night in dar es Salam , the owner tried to tell us to pay for transport for another massage therapist to come . I’m sorry because your staff does not show up why should we pay the transport . White sands definitely needs upper management to get involved with thease issues . It’s become a local resort now. But it’s very upsetting that the boat leaves you stranded on the island . It’s even more embarrassing begging another resort to let you in to walk 10 mins on the road to get back to white sands as you can not walk on the beach . The room was also very damp and moist my fiancé and I have been bit by ants in the room . The more the cleaner cleaned the more they came . They did offer us an upgrade but I preferred not to take it in order to let others know. I used ti brag to everyone to end a trip in dar es Salam you have to go white sands for peace and the islands but now it’s just a run down hotel should be a 2 star

A wonderful and relaxing place in good condition right at the sea. It‘s a nice resort and I recommend to book at least a Studio room. The regular rooms are a bit too simple. The hotel is quite far away from the action so it‘s mainly good to relax. The whole resort is very well maintained and makes you feel really comfortable. The pool is nice and there is good space to sit on the beach too. Good to watch sunrise, wrong side to watch the sunset. The gym is quite large but hot since most of the time they just open the windows instead of the A/C. Would go there again but preferably with the girlfriend, not solo.

Booked and paid for a one bedroom apartment sea view for 3 person stay and upon check in was told there were no apartments and was put in a standard room. Manager stated this happens because I made the booking on separate website, many in lobby had same problem, I was not given a discount or anything for the impractical inconvenience and it was actually suggested that it was my fault and not the hotels for the false advertisement and incorrect booking.

Food appalling, construction ongoing by main pool, hard to enjoy any peace and quiet....

What a jewel so close to Dar! I did not know what to expect and was a bit unsure. As soon as I checked in to my room, I was so relaxed. I booked for 2 nights and extended for a 3rd. Beach was well taken care of and staff was A+! Breakfast was more than anyone could ask for and the overall food was good. I will be back VERY soon - 20 minutes from home, why not?

Beautiful hotel with breathtaking views of the ocean. Friendly hotel staff.

Attended a wedding at the hotel, staff were lovely and always very friendly. Rooms were nicely appointed, although not 5 star. Taxis/transfers arranged by the hotel were expensive given the availability of Uber. Restaurant food was ok, however, there are lots of great options within a short drive away.
