Beautiful breakfast, very nice room. Friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel’s photos are more appealing than the actual experience, and the location proved to be somewhat inconvenient due to limited parking options. Additionally, the on-site dining options were quite limited, which was disappointing. This place is not worth the price rate.

Gorgeous interior design! Loved the complimentary sparkling wine we arrived and the breakfast pastries were divine. We ended up having breakfast there every day! The free rental bicycles were really cute and we had a great morning biking on the scenic route. would stay again!

Almost everything here was wonderful and we loved our stay. Staff was beyond helpful in assisting us in planning all aspects of our trip activities daily. Sparkling rose wine in champagne coupe glasses was a real classy treat upon arrival. Breakfasts were fabulous, firepit area super nice, showers were powerful with plentiful hot water,.and room appointments were thoughtful. Only negatives were too soft beds and decaf coffee only available in the room with the nespresso machine and not at breakfast in the lobby area. Nighttime cookies were not great and not up to the caliber of all other baked sweets from the breakfast buffet. We'd recommend this hotel to friends. we had a wonderful experience there.

Cute place, nice people :) Very close to everything. Loved it.

Staff was warm and welcomng. Alex met us at the desk at check-in and helped us plan our hikes and other activities. Room was somewhat dated but adequate. Terrific shower!!!!! Fire pit and outside tables were lovely. Location was perfect. Free parking! Thanks for helping us enjoy a special few days!

My wife and I have been wanting to stay at this property for quite a while now. We can say without a doubt it absolutely did not disappoint. Everything was so well thought out and The attention to detail was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our room, happy hour and especially Diane who was our cocktail server. She made our experience exceptional!

Everything about this stay was perfect from the warm greeting to the room to the complimentary gourmet breakfast. The attention to detail and service were the best I’ve had at Carmel-by-the-Sea. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend to others.

On the positive side, the hotel is very aesthetically designed with nice details and good taste. The cleaning crew also does a great job. It’s also super dog friendly. On the other: The hotel is basically a motel with a renovation. The rooms are very small. There is no AC, so if it is hot you need to keep the windows as open as possible. There is absolutely no storage to put clothes and belongings Worst of all is the service. Some of the staff was admittedly nice but our check in and a few others were borderline terrible. No hospitality. It seemed they didn’t want to be there at all. That was the biggest disappointment. If I had friends coming to Carmel I would tell them to stay elsewhere for these reasons

Such a cute spot- so perfect

We truly loved our hotel, especially the time we spent visiting with family in the hotel lobby. What a welcoming and comfortable spot! The coffee and breakfast selections were excellent. Service was outstanding. Your location is excellent. The carpet next to the bed had a large stain on it. That wasn’t pleasant to look at. That’s why some of our ratings were 4’s.

Everything was great but thin walls. Neighbors had 3 kids in their room that only knew how to cry and woke us up every morning.

The room was adorable and the nightly cookies were lovely, Disappointing thing was no acknowledgment at all regarding our 30 year anniversary even though we shared this with them.

From the beginning to the end it was a very nice experience. I liked to have Bfast in their other location within 5 min walkway! Many times we stayed at this hotel brand in different cities but the Petit Pali” in Carmel was very special…well done to make “petite”..big! dp

My stay at Le Petit Pali was divine. The staff were lovely and accommodating- I was recovering from a major surgery and they regularly brought me anything I needed. While this was not a fancy upscale 5 star hotel, it was one of the most pleasant stays I’ve ever had. In some of the reviews they said it was a dressed up Motel and I get what they meant, in the structure of the building. Otherwise it was as thoughtfully curated as any 5 star hotel or resort I’ve ever stayed in. The breakfast was one of the best meals I had while in Carmel - felt like I was in a BNB in France. And the location is ideal. If you’re looking for a beautiful, comfortable, accommodating, and carefully crafted stay a stroll from downtown Carmel and a short walk to the ocean, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Loved all the boutique touches! I’m a light sleeper, so being on the first floor ended up difficult for sleep with the lack of insulation between floors.

We love this cute little 34 room hotel. It is only about a year old so they are still working out a few kinks as per some of the previous reviews but all the reviews about bad water pressure at least an hour room was fixed. It’s the best water pressure we’ve ever had. I’ve been all over the world. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hospitality was top-notch. The small, cute little continental breakfast and service was nice. And we want to give a shout out to several people that made our stay especially great Thank you Orlando for going above and beyond in letting us check in early due to our circumstances. Thank you Leslie for the wonderful breakfast service. Thank you Jess for helping us with any needs we had. Thank you Daverle for the great recommendations around town!! We stayed in room 34. It was on the end next to the road, but we sleep with the sound machine so no big deal but if you’re a soft sleeper, I think the best room would probably be room 29 or 30 on the top floor. We gave this cute little hotel an 8.5 out of 10. We definitely recommend it
