Quick stay but open for check in at any time arrived late. Right on the lake can walk right out the back door onto the beach! Real nice stay and reasonably priced.

Great room for the value. We only were staying for the night and left in the morning. Great access to the lake and beach. For some reason they didn’t have any breakfast served which was one of the reasons we booked

So this place hypes their watermark, what a disappointment! The slide is out of service, it doesn’t look like the pool or kiddie area was cleaned in years! The lazy river was worse! Such a disappointment!

not a lot to offer in that area for quick dining. Also took 20 minutes to check me in when I had pre-paid online for the convivence.

Room size was much bigger than we expected. It wasn’t the room I reserved online, the staff said it was a much better room. Which was BS. After seeing it, I requested my original room choice and I was told, sorry it was no longer available. The staff offered No discount for the downgraded room. Accommodations were for 6 guests. Reservations were for a room with a lakeside view, unfortunately we only had a parking lot view and no balcony. Waterpark was only 1/2 useful due to it being shut down and didn’t open until 12pm, dirty foam floating on the water. Game room was nice, except the 2 bowling lanes that according to staff had been broken for 4yrs. No breakfast at all on the premises either, BoGo at 2 nearby locations with awful 2* reviews. A lot of trash, cigarette butts and animal feces around the property. No fire wood on site for the fire pits. Dogs are allowed here and I was not ok with that due to allergies.No pamphlets were available in the lobby either. I also reached out to hotels.com, not happy with this property or the lack of resolutions. Only thing that was nice was the location and view.

Water slides in the water park where closed bridge to the slides wood was rotted and falling apart. Window in the bedroom was to the point if someone pushed on it to hard it would fall out. No breakfast. Internet was slow. Had to use 2 different remotes to control the TV. No complementary shampoos or anything in the bathroom. Shower head had rust on it, tile in the bathroom was cracked

Do not waste your money at this hotel!!!! The lobby smells musty , the breakfast room is closed and there is nothing but gross muddy coffee in the lobby , the rooms are dirty smelly and dusty and the water in the water park smells overall 0/10 I don’t understand how these hotels in mackinaw city are not health hazards

Carpet was not clean

We've stayed here several times, great view of the bridge and island, they are always cleaning the rooms, great to see. There was a new porch that had been built, very nice, they are making improvements. The waterpark is nice for kids, the slides and one pool were closed the last couple times we were there, so that could use some attention, but the lazy river is nice to float in, there is a game room, the air hockey and pool are alot of fun. U can also bring ur pet along if u want, there were dogs of all breeds and sizes there. One thing i didnt care for, and im not a mean person, but 2 of the nights we were there, 2 big buses of people rolled in, guessing a sunset tour of somesort, we open our patio blinds and literally right on the other side of our patio fence were a bunch of people from the bus sitting, they looked at us as if us coming out on our patio was rude. Or something. And they took the table off our patio, very rude, I feel like they were a bit too close and it is kind of rude to sit right in front of someones patio when u dont have that room. whether ur there for the night or not, there is plenty of beach to sit on, why sit in front of us, blocking our view, that we also pay good money to have, i feel like there should be a designated place for them to sit, as they sip there whine, laugh loudly and look at u rudely as u walk in and out of ur room door! Just a suggestion, we didnt go on our patio while they were there, which is a shame! It was sunset! Primetime!

Very friendly service upon arrival and throughout. Having stayed in at least 20 hotels and motels throughout the U.S. since spring, this property was a breath of fresh air as far as friendly service and cleanliness. Would stay again!

READ THIS REVIEW!!! My trip started by noticing that I had a charge on my card for both rooms I booked in the full amount! Thank god I had a high enough balance on my card to cover the cost of this and my trip. I called the facility and they stated that is their policy on busy weekends? I had selected pay at facility as I have done many times before and used my card to hold the rooms for myself and the people I was travelling with! Now I had the full amount as a hold on my card for both my room and theirs before we had even checked in! Once we checked in I was informed that I would have the hold taken off my card in 3-5 business days. Thank god I have the means to cover this but that could have ruined someones vacation if that is all they had budgeted for! Now once we arrived we found the rooms were falling apart. Wall paper peeling, my fathers rooms till had dirty towels. They water park was disgusting! The water slides were in shambles the roof was falling in over them! The smell alone of the water was enough to gag me! Beautiful beach front and great view salvaged an otherwise what could have been a terrible weekend!

Definitely an older hotel that needs some work but the reception staff was friendly and helpful. They have a beautiful breakfast room. I just wish they used it!!

Best beach in area and spectacular view.

The space in the room was nice. The bedding was minimal with only a sheet and very thing blanket. The shower tub drained very slow. The pool water smelled of rotten something. The kid area and lazy river were very dirty and gross. The large slides weren’t working which we weren’t made aware before the stay.

Staff was very helpful. Water Park was fun for the kids. Easy access to the lake.

The bedsheets smelled funny. The property is very old. Shower did not have any pressure water, overall unsatisfactory experience.

The staff is very nice, helpful, pleasant. The outside of the hotel looks nice, but the rooms are old, worn, no modern updates. The beds are comfortable. The shower had good water pressure. Please let customers know they need to request to have their rooms cleaned as well as fresh towels. The first floor bedspreads are a drab brown, second floor are white - makes a huge difference in how the room presents. There is no breakfast offered, yet some websites still list it as available. Please correct this ASAP. This makes customers very unhappy. I strongly suggest offering at least a continental breakfast. It really is an expectation with customers and it goes a long way. But be sure to advertise it correctly, as continental. Offering coupons to nearby restaurants as your breakfast option cheapens the experience. The coffee was good. The lakefront balconies are very nice, but they weren't cleaned. Spiders, cig butts, someone put out cigs on the wall. The location is good. Parking is good. Staff was very helpful with ferry and shuttle reservations. Kevin was wonderful. Every staff member was excellent. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

The morning woman of the front desk was very friendly and kind. The hotel was average in cleanliness etc. The hotel is pretty dated and had a couple broken things upon arrival (door handle, bathroom TP holder). I let the front desk know and it’s something they’ve tried to repair before. The waterpark is also in need of repairs and attention. My 7 yr old kid loved it though. There were some pieces that were starting to break on the kid playground part that would be concerning for little fingers, the big slides were completely closed. Nice big beach. For the price of the stay in the summer, I wish the building could be updated... so if they renovate then I’d definitely be back!

My son and i grabbed a room last minute at this hotel.it was on the cheaper side so we didnt expect perfection, but with that said we expected pretty decent. The pool room was MESSY with all the dirty towels from the day thrown all over the room/floor. The pool had both slides closed which was a total bummer. The hotel hallways smelled really strongly like mildew. Our room didnt have any shower towels, no coffee cups, the tv and light weren't working, but someone came and fixed them for us. It jist wasn't a very nice room and was bare minimum. Beds were nice tho. We did have a cool view tho of the bridge without a balacony room and that was amazing. There was no breakfast at all, but they didn give us coupons for breakfast at some restaurants which we did use, so that was nice. I wouldnt ever use this hotel again.

Worked for what we needed. The main area was super musty smelling and the front seat staff was a little standoffish until we were there for a while. The room was clean enough but it was very off-putting to be hit with musky smell when you walked in

Staff was very nice and friendly. Our room was missing the microwave and there were many cosmetic repairs needed. The place has a Waterpark, but the big slides were shutdown. Not the cleanest, but we still had a great time. The beach was great, with a beautiful view of the Mackinac Bridge.

At wash basin the water was not passing

The water park area was very outdated, the 2 slides were shutdown looked broke. The ceiling was falling in some spots. The room was dirty, stains on every wall, mildew smell coming from air conditioner, spiders in the room, lock broke on the door. Strong paint smell came through the vents and hallway we called 2 times and they did nothing. The room key stopped working, all this for a 1 night stay. The only good part was the beach. Will not be back here and do not recommend.

Hotel is very dirty

For the price, I felt the hotel was perfect. I was super worried leading up to the trip after reading newer reviews but I was worried for nothing. Mind you - we just literally slept here. Didn’t check in until 345pm, and then left for dinner and came back around 9 to sleep; next day left at 7am for the island and didn’t come back until 830pm. The beach had a spectacular view of the fireworks on Saturday night. (Also a really nice view of the bridge). The beach was clean, organized & had so many different chair choices & space to sit. We found the room clean, and beds comfy. It was a quick 5 minute drive from the downtown core. If you’re looking for a place to just lay your head, this place was perfect for the price.
