We returned to this property because of the volleyball and basketball nets, the pool and the playground. However, they no longer had a basketball or volleyball to borrow, some of the swings were broken, and they didn't heat the pool and it was ice cold. No heat in the hot tub. Dirty pool. Toilet and kitchen sink leak. Couches so old. Bathroom old and falling apart. None of the amenities exist. I would not come back unless there was a total renovation. Don’t trust their website.

I liked the interior of the cabin and how it was very cozy, clean and had a vintage look.It does need some work on the outside area though. The staff was very friendly and easy to access.

Very cool cabin, spacious. Cool wood swing on porch. A bit noisy since close to main road but doable. Staff is very helpful.

We booked a cabin with the Jacuzzi in the cabin, but when we checked in, it was broken down and said do not use. They did switch us to a cabin that had the Jacuzzi tub instead. Overall, it was a nice day, and the cabins are kept clean and they’re comfortable. It seems they’re under new management or new ownership, but the man working was very kind and we would definitely come back!

The person in charge does not have good communication. The room I had designated was too dirty. He assigned me another place. The only people who were nice were the ones who cleaned. I definitely would not stay in that place anymore.

The cabin was nice, The manager is very accommodating. He gave us whatever we asked for. He gave us an outdoor umbrella and chairs as we were going to the beach. We also asked for balls so the kids could play and he gave them to us. The swimming pool was very clean. The cabin was very hot specially upstairs we had fans but because of the weather, it did not cool the place The resort is on a very busy street, so there was a lot of traffic on a very busy road. There was constant road traffic. Definitely not a quiet place . there were some things that needed to be fixed , And I did mention it to the manager. The coffee pot needed to be replaced the battery for the fire alarm also needed replacement. The resort is dated, It’s obvious that this cabins have been around for a long time and not much upkeep has been done to them, they need a lot of work, so does the resort. Pictures do not represent how it really is.

I really liked this place. Clean, comfortable cabin with a fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, plate, etc). Very friendly staff. Great location near Boulder Bay Park.

Great space for family and pets

Super cute location, but property seemed run down. Seems under new management and they don’t have their systems down yet. Ask at checkin for extra things like toilet paper or paper towels. Our room was not stocked with those.

I really enjoyed staying at this property. It was comfortable, they provided everything I needed, and when I had an issue with the stove, they immediately came and fixed it. The pool was lovely, the grounds were clean and there was ample outdoor space for me to walk my dogs away from other clients staying there. It was close to the lake, close to shops and restaurants and a very nice place all around!

Great budget option for families. A lot of the amenities listed were not available. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating though. The hot tub was never hot, it turned green/brown and smelly by the time we left. The kids had fun in the pool though and it was cool/clean. The beds were “ok” comfort wise, they could use to be updated and pillows replaced but the sheets were clean, soft and fresh. Everything is outdated/rustic but clean enough. Clean dishes and fully stocked kitchen cookware was a plus. Overall we wouldn’t book it again but it’s a great option if you’re on a budget looking for a place for your family. Smooth experience with check in/out and overall it “got the job done”.

Old rusty house with no fans and air conditioning. Toilets were leaking and wobbly. Not worth the price

Went there with my family for a little getaway, this place was amazing and Nora is great, we enjoyed the lovely cabin that has excellent locación, thank you Nora for your hospitality and help.

Nora at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. The size of the cabin was sufficient for our party of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). It had all of the necessary amenities to get through our weekend trip. However, this place is severely outdated and not well maintained at all. While I understand the want to keep the cottages “vintage”, some things require updating such as windows, drapes, TVs, bedding, showers, outdoor benches and BBQs. This place feels very stuffy, dusty and most hardware and appliances are VERY old and not in great condition. The most unappealing part of the stay was the grounds. They are not well maintained at all, with tons of overgrowth, weeds, broken down parts of appliances and none of the common amenities are in working order or in good condition. The pool was decent. The picnic bench outside of our cabin was broken, splintered and weathered and unusable. Cobwebs, bugs and dust everywhere. I would most likely not stay here again as there are so many other cabin choices that are better taken care of within the same area for similar pricing.

Nice that’s a walk from Boulder park

Nice place to be cozy and cool with the family. The cabin was rustic and cozy . I liked that it had plenty of beds and a whole kitchen. I liked all the family friendly perks like playground basketball court volleyball net horse shoes grills and picnic tables.The pool and hot tub were nice as well. I wish the fire pit was working so we could have utilized it but s’mores using the grill worked just fine. The place isn’t real fancy more homie and cozy but I liked that about it . It was peaceful and the family had a good time. Five minutes drive away is the village shops and a great park we also really enjoyed. All in all it had everything we needed at a great price and I would prefer to stay at this cozy cabin rather some overpriced fancy hotel.I would love to see it in the winter time as it seems that is the primary season for this little town but it was a great place to stay cool and enjoy some nature in the summer time.

The staff were very accommodating and the location was beautiful. Easily accessible and close to everything! I would definitely stay here again and I’m recommending Golden Near a cottage to all my family and friends.

The property is really run down and the cottage we stayed in was very neglected. From simple little things like burnt out light bulbs to the blinds feeling greasy when we went to open the windows. It’s pretty sad since the property looks like it once was a nice place. The lady in the office was really nice though.

The worst part of this place was the bed. A memory foam mattress that lost it's memory about 2 decades ago. Once you got on it you were getting out without help. we also heard what sounded like rats crawling around the roof but could have been birds. we reached out to the management company for a refund but never heard back.

Real comfy place to stay. Full kitchens with all the utensils and cups and pans, so you can bring your own food and cook. Log burning fireplace for a real fire in the cabins. Grounds needed to be cleaned up, but I guess the resort just reopened to the public after housing ski resort employees. Those employees need to clean better, the gal the runs the place was completely overwhelmed and I felt sorry for her.

It was a cute rustic cabin, and it was so clean. When we got there we enjoyed all the amenities that were provided they gave us coffee to making the coffee maker, which is a sweet surprise. For my preference the beds were a little bit on the southside but I know some people like softer beds than I do. The owners are really sweet and very helpful. All in all was a great place to stay. And one of the only properties that accept pets.
