The Sofitel at Krabi was a great place to stay. We felt pampered without people being on top of you all the time.

The swimming pool is world class as well as the staff

Beautifully maintained colonial style property with extremely friendly staff. Dining options are limited but there are few cafes and restaurants a short walk away from the hotel. Housekeeping was late to clean our rooms one day. Would absolutely recommend this property for families!

Pool recreation area was excellent for kids. Swim up bar was great although under staffed.
4.0
Staff, especially at front desk, need to ge able to speak English. The beach is incredibly dirty and dangerous with broken glass, bottles everywhere.

Overrated! Although it's a nice resort, pool is beautiful and property is good and lot to do within property only, but nothing outside the hotel. Its quite far from the main Krabi town, you have to pay each way 600 baht to get to the town.
Some nice restaurants within the hotel as well.
Staff at reception was very good and respectful , but staff by the pool was not very well trained and somewhat racist.
Room quality was quite basic, nothing special about the rooms. Overall nice place but quite far from the city, even if you buy any tour package, taxi will charge you extra every time you go out for any tour.

Great hotel. Definitely would recommend

The staff were wonderful at the restaurants and kids club. We travelled as a family with 3 kids and one parent working, so it was a welcome relief to have the staff so friendly and welcoming to kids.
More than that, the staff were helpful on our trips down to the beach or with any questions we had about logistics.
Our stay was quiet, in May. Sitting by the pool watching the storms was a highlight.

The staff everywhere were fantastic especially at the pool bar and the lounge. Friendly staff everywhere, nothing is too much trouble. Very comfortable rooms. Huge pool and lots of spare sunbeds. Excellent restaurants. Amazing breakfast, such a big choice of food and great quality. Sadly jellyfish season so no swimming in sea but beautiful beach across the (small) road.
Would highly recommend for people going to Krabi

Sofitel is a great family resort that offers a huge variety of activities. The hotel needs a face lift to maintain a luxury resort, keep the old style but modernize bathrooms and bedrooms. We had fun but with a few hick-ups, no valet parking or greeting us at the arrival. Only one bell boy so we carried our luggage ourselves, same thing during check out.

This is an older style hotel - which I really like - which has been updated. While I was there, the hotel was fully booked and everything worked brilliantly!

Beautiful ground and can spend the vacation on site. They have their own boats for day excursions so able to book directly. The pool is exceptional!

Amazing stay at Sofitel Krabi for four nights in the end of January 2024 with my family, staying in a family room with a golf course view. Turned 40 years old during my stay and the kindness and service of the staff to make my day special was something I´ll always remember. From the amazing masseuses at the SO spa who made the beginning of my day so special with a song and a gift, the cleaning staff bringing me a cake ending with Pang decorating my family´s table at White Lotus restaurants - made my heart so warm and thankful. My younger kid loved the kid´s club and the massive swimming pool was a hit for my older kid specially. Would most definitely recommend Sofitel Krabi.

Good property. Staff services can be better.

Nice property with a great swimming pool. Amazing kids club and kids pool area. Also great activities for kids. Few really nice local restaurants across the road from the hotel by the beach. 7 eleven few minutes walk from the hotel and couple of massage places. Other than that no shopping places nearby. Amenities at the resort are neverending....

Food and Dining facilities were unbelievable. Pool was immaculate and incredibly spacious. Staff service was fantastic. Everything was stunning. Cannot wait to return.

This is a great property with an amazing pool and amenities. Great for kids and families. The only downside is the food taste and quality. We did not find it up to the mark.

Overall it was a wonderful relaxing stay. It’s more of a family oriented service resort. If you’re a couple traveler, you might need to find a more exclusive private resort. All the staff are trained to greet and smile to all guests. Other than that, if you’re asian like myself, you won’t be treated any special. They tend to focus on blond hair people, believe it or not?!

Facilities at hotel were great and staff all very friendly and helpful. Location is a little outside the main tourist area and limited options but we still managed to eat at different locations each night

Perfect place for a few days in Krabi with amazing facilities and plenty of options for families (kids club, playground, inflated structure in the swimming pool, ping pong tables, etc...). The breakfast is wonderful with a huge variety of different cuisines and the staff always kind and super efficient.
Signature tour to Hong Island was also a success.

The staff went above and beyond to make my son’s birthday extra special. They sang happy birthday with cake 3 times on the day, and made a special photo album with photos from our day tour. I’ve never had a hotel make so much effort. Jina was a great tour guide.

Good location, excellent food options and lots of activities to keep yourself and kids busy.

As a recent guest at the Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort, I can confidently say that my stay was quite comfortable and pleasant. The property is stunning and has a serene ambiance that makes it perfect for relaxation.
However, I must say that the excursion tour to Phi Phi islands that I booked through the resort was not worth the money. The trip felt very rushed, and we didn't have enough time to enjoy the beauty of the islands properly. I was expecting a more leisurely experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
Another area of improvement that I noticed was with the in-room menu and the Club Millésime food menu. As a vegetarian, I found that there were not enough options available for me. While the dishes that were there were quite tasty, I would have appreciated more variety in the vegetarian offerings.
Despite these areas of improvement, I would still recommend the Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Krabi. The property is beautiful, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. If you're looking to explore the nearby islands, I would suggest looking for alternative tour options.

The hotel has not disappointed us.
It is a beautiful building with lovely rooms. We had a family room that can fit 5 people. It was perfect for us as we were two adults and two kids. We were given a room next to the kid's club and the kid pool - it was perfect and very thoughtful. Our kids loved the activities and it felt very safe to let them play in the kid's pool.
The food is lovely with a large choice. The service was also good and everyone was welcoming and friendly. A small minus on the rapidity of the service that was sometimes needed with our two young kids.
The prices are quite high for food/ beverage and excursions. We were in half board which was suitable for us. We could either use our voucher for lunch or dinner and were eating outside the rest of the time either to night markets or to two restaurants outside the hotel. It would be nice to have still water for free during lunch and dinner as no drinks were included.
Location wise, it is a bit outside and does not have many attraction around but you can easily take a taxi right outside the hotel (use the app In Drive) and go to Ao Nang which is 15 minutes away.
There is a 7/11 with an ATM 5 minutes' walk from the hotel - which is very convenient.
Overall, it was a lovely stay. We felt spoiled. Not to mention that we were a bit off season and we had the pool just for ourselves most of the time.
And again, beautiful hotel!

Hotel is beautiful with lovely pool
Staff training required to welcome guests better and to give service with a smile
Food in club lounge not as extensive as Hyatt group

The amazing staff at the front desk and the special club class room made our stay there amazing, the wine and spa rates were 4 to 10 times more expensive than literally 500 yards down the street.

Very friendly staff, very good yoga session with Wee in the morning. Very big and nice pool with lots of fun plays for the kids. Good starting point for trips as well. Heavily recommended!

Very dissatisfied of staff's behavior. They, especially local staffs, seems to discriminate between Western clients and Asian clients. It is never experienced in any 5 star hotels in my life. It was a very unpleasant experience to tarnish the brand name.

The pool is great as it winds its way around the property, with a separate sections for adults if they need privacy. There is an excellent obstacle course on the pool for kids and adults alike. Given the time i.e. opening up just after COVID, we saw limited dining options, but what was on offer was still good.

Great for families, great food. A bit remote but there a few other places available at walking distance like 7-11 and other nice cafes and restaurants on the beach

The hotel was running on a very low occupancy yet they did not think of giving a closer room to pool access(which is their usp) as I had elder parents and small children. Inspite of mentioning that we are vegetarian everyday we had to explain again to get things made for us, which they did it very happily. The resort is far from the main area Ao nang and the hotel concierge does not give you any ideas or options of things to do. They are more interested in selling their tour packages which is 8-10 times expensive than the other providers. The stay could have been more interesting if someone could have been assigned to us to understand the concerns on food, stay etc. But I guess they are all returning from Covid and really not equipped to serve customers. Being Sofitel standards they really need to get guest relations on a higher standard.

Fantastic pool and kids club- good gym and I recommend club membership as use of lounge is a lovely break in the day.

The hotel is vast and a bit old fashioned. It's perfectly nice, just not my style. Great if you have kids and just want to stay in the resort but I don't and there a lot of kids there.
4.0
Exceptional pool. Luxury room was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast buffet is vast, diverse, and high-end. Unfortunately the beach is quite rocky, so unless you go when the tide is quite high, it’s not easy to enjoy the water. But you probably won’t want to leave the pool anyway. Because of the pandemic, there are only a few shops and restaurants open within walking distance, and next to no street food vendors, so unless you don’t mind eating every meal at the hotel, it’s a good idea to rent transportation or plan a trip into Krabi Town or Ao Nang for some variety.
