Great location and easy to get to. Lots of shopping and restaurants choices. Rooms do need to be updated since they are showing their age

Staff were very helpful and were able to hold our suitcases for us before check in. Rooms were okay but definitely not as nice as other hotels you could get in different cities for the same price. Dated decor and sheets that are too small for the bed. However I would stay her again over other hotels I’d stayed in the area as it was that touch but cleaner. It is in the red light area (which we knew) that wasn’t much of a problem as it’s pretty tame compared to other red light districts in the world and they didn’t bother us as foreigners probably not the best it you have young kids and the area itself smelt of cigarette smoke day and night

Great room. The property location is right at the Kabukicho, so transportation is pretty easy. Kabukicho is a magic place where you can feel one of the modern images of Japan, however, the cost is this area is not that safe (It's still Japan, tho. So just relatively speaking). The staff is pretty nice and devoted a lot to helping me fix my wifi issue. Would consider coming back in the future.

In the heart of the Kabukicho, this comfortable hotel offers rooms wider than the classical Japanese business hotels. The place is convenient and affordable. I will return.

Very convenient location to dining, entertainment, train. Although there were far too many scammers hanging around right outside the hotel, and it got annoying after a few days. Unfortunately that isn't something the hotel has control over. The hotel itself was nice. Appreciated the laundry, the friendliness of staff and hotel amenities. The rooms were incredibly small though for two checked luggage and 2 people. I would stay here again but would spend extra on a larger room.

Location was superb. right in the middle of Shinjuku. Spent entire day exploring the area. Just behind Kaubukicho. Many dining options and staying here let us enjoy the area at night. We had a corner room so it was more spacious than usual. Very clean. Enjoyed our stay

The Citadine is a very nice hotel and is walking distance from all of the hot spots in Shinjuku.

The Citadines Central Shinjuku Tokyo, was conveniently located in the center of Shinjuku. Room-service was good. I got a standard room which was small could barely have my suitcase open however, it was clean and cosy. I didn't come here to stay in the room, you won't either! The hotel is located on the 3rd Floor with a mini mart near the elevator on the ground floor. The only thing I did not like was being harassed on my way in by men standing outside on the street. It's like they don't have a home. They're always just hanging out on the street. For a quick purchase there are 7-11s nearby. Kabukicho is great for shopping, dining and partying! A few mins and you're at the Tokyo Tower. The Airport Limousine does drop off and pick up at the Tower. Also walking distance (8-10) min walk to the several malls like Halc, Odakyu, Lumine, to name a few. Walk with your passport to take advantage of the duty free stores! Overall I had a pleasant stay here.

Lovely hotel. Area was a little spicy! No issue for us and no trouble at all but clearly some interesting folks and bars about close by. Konbini in the same building which is very convenient. Allowed us to check in early.

This hotel is excellent for first time visitors in Tokyo, you’re truly around the corner from Golden Gai and a a short walk to the train station. Somehow the room is still very quiet! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful!

This hotel was located in the perfect area of Shinjuku. The staff was very friendly and so helpful when needed help to get around. I would definitely stay here again and recommend 10/10.

It was a wonderful hotel with great staff. It was a very nice location where the train station was close and tons of food options were available. The staff at the hotel were very accommodating.

Location is near Shinjuku station which is great. I was given a room where AC did not work so they helped me switch the room. In the next room the night lamp or the locker did not work . Double bed is too small for 2 people. Overall decent hotel - typical Tokyo room, don’t expect much

It was cramped room the staff was not Japanese and were kind of not helpful at all they don’t even speak Japanese or English I tried to get a car service to airport they refused to help not happy

This hotel had everything I could want with no frills. The carpets were a bit grey so made the place look dingy. Great restaurant and great position.About 11 minutes walk to station.

Couldn’t accommodate, wouldn’t recommend.

Okay, if you have decided to stay at a hotel in Shinjuku's red light area adjacent to the entrance to Golden Gai drinking alleys, then the location is a 5 out of 5. I was very please at how quiet the rooms were and that it wasn't a crazy drunken party hotel. I was on the 13th floor of a 14 story building. The ground floor is a Lawson mini-mart and the subway stations options are about a 10 minute walk. Taxis on the GO app are always just a couple of minutes away any time day or night. The breakfast buffet is very basic. The rooms are small. So, with two adults, each with a suitcase, I was glad that I chose a room with two double beds (queens?). One bed was used for the suitcases to remain open and organizing clothes. The other bed for two to sleep. A/C works fine. Water pressure and hot water acceptable. TV was only Japanese channels (typical). I would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time here at Citadines. Great staff, fantastic location. We were on the 13th floor and our room had an amazing view and was very quiet, relative to the proximity of the bars/restaurants below.

Great property, conveniently located in Kabukicho. You can’t beat the proximity to the nightlife and late night eateries.

The hotel is located in the red light district, not dangerous per say just has a sketchy vibe at night. The rooms are small, but in japan they're all pretty small. The carpeting throughout was filthy, in the rooms and hallways. The mattresses are old and the furniture dated. The breakfast was pretty good, walking distance to everything, and a small convenience downstairs. This is basically a motel 6 or super 8 with a fancy lobby and kitchen. Staff was friendly. It really wouldn't take much to make this place better, shampoo the carpets, paint the rooms, and replace some furniture/mattresses. Would I stay here again, prob not.

Immediate area of the property is unkempt and dirty. I was expecting the area to be in the “red light district” but IMO it is far too grimy and sketchy. The noise outside of loud people conversing early morning and the sirens will not make for a comfortable sleep environment.

Very convenient location. 5 minute walk from Shinjuku station. Room was decently sized for Japanese standards. Not much of a drinker but the hotel is literally right next to Golden Gai which is very convenient.
