Waterfront. Beautiful view.

worn down, not the cleanest, low water pressure,

The staff was great. The Waterfront Inn is very outdated and very rundown. The rooms we got all had issues, one off them the tub was vacking up, the other one the a/c would work and sometimes not, and the room I received had a puddle under the toilet and it wobbled so had to call maintenance and he did come out to fix it and he did. We had left to get something to eat and we got back to the room we had no lamps in the room,so had to go back to the front desk again they had to have maintenance bring lamps to the room. We left the room to go cross the bridge and when we came back to the room to take a shower we only had extremely hot water because the shower valve was broken again had to go back to the front deskfor the third time for issues with just the one room ket along the other two rooms all this within 4 hours off checking in. I did ask for the manager after all that was going on with the room and Scott did come and understood all my complaints and did give us a room in thier other hotel with lake front view. So in all the place pretty much needs updated and maintenance needs to go into the rooms at least once a week and check that everything is in working condition.

Our room was not ready at 4:30 so they gave us a smaller room. There was a tic on the blanket and other dead bugs all over the room. The room was filthy.

We had a balcony room and it was clean. The view was amazing of the island and bridge at night. The pool was nice, the hot tub was fantastic! Park lot when busy is kinda hectic but overall was good stay.

Not a bad place . Close to town and the lake .

It was a decent place to stay, the only thing that bugged me was that the pictures online were of the log cabins and their was no pictures of the actual motel rooms. Felt like false advertising. It was a decent place to stay for a night, and was fairly clean.

Bathroom has cockroaches and smells bad

Doors don’t lock in bathroom. No toilet paper. No phone in room. Bathtub didn’t clear water. No exhaust in bathroom. Poor rating

The photos on hotels.com do not reflect what the rooms are. There are newer cabins on the property, the photos of those are the only posted. Our first room had a smell, the sheets had something on them, the screen was torn, there was a hole in the ceiling the balcony was falling apart, and there was a chaise lounge couch on it soaked from the rain, musty and so dirty. We kindly asked for a new room to which the front desk said they had upgraded us to this room… we had booked a double queen courtyard and they gave us a balcony beachside. We moved to the courtyard and this room was somewhat passable, still smelly and still not worth the money that was spent! It was too late to move hotels and the strict cancellation policy would not allow us to get our money back. Expedia.com did provide a credit on our next stay.

The room is clean and the place is amazing the furniture is old but everything is good.

We never received water park passes like ad stated, pool opened alot later than stated, room couldn't support 5 people like ordered and stated.

Completely misleading photos. Shows only the 3 cabins by the water and does not show 95% of rooms which are cheap and dirty and look nothing like advertised. Wooden coat hangers in place of broken locks on all windows…

Neighbor using a hairdryer caused the power to go out in several rooms including ours, rooms were obviously delayed maintenance and it smelled of mildew.

It was a very nice room for the price. Check in was by a very pleasant lady. The beds were comfortable and the room and especially the bathroom was very clean. It was a quiet room with no traffic noise in the night. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is so outdated and old. It doesn't look or smell good. It needs a lot of work to be considered as a good place to stay at and enjoy. The location is not bad at all, you are close to the lake but I didnt like my room and stayed there only for the cheap price. I will not stay there again and definitely wont recommend it to others.

When we arrived to chrck in our room had ceiling tiles falling out of the ceiling and it was dirty. The replacement room we were offered was also bad. Not only that when i was checking in there was a line of people all with the same complaint. They kept my money and refuse to refund me.

Had room number 501 at first. The smell in the room was horrible. It was dirty. Asked to switch rooms. Changed to room 502 next door. The room wasnt much better. Noticed black mold growing on the wall paper peeling off the walls. Stained sheets. Horrible conditions. When I went to show the hotel clerks pictures of the rooms conditions and ask for a refund. They were giving the room 501 to another costumer. Without cleaning it. Minutes after we left it. Complaining about the smell and cleaniness of the room. Will not be returning. Unfortunately the owners own most of the hotels in Mackinac city.

I liked the access to the lake. The parking area was a little dark to my liking. But overall my stap was a nice experience.

Right on beach

It was a dry place with a place to sleep, running water, and roof. That’s about it. Room was dusty with bugs in the window, no microwave or coffee pot, and all old furnishings. The office was closed half of the stay at night. The pool was dirty and the hot-tub was at least 115 degrees, which they didn’t fix after many people asked. A family arrived in the middle of our trip in the room next to us and they didn’t even have it cleaned for them. For an extra 50$ go stay somewhere else way nicer.

Lack of Basic services in the room

The photos on the website look nothing like the actual rooms. It’s is old & run down & stinky.

Area around outside of room very dirty and not well lit. Carpet very old and full of sand from other visitors. Did like location and desk staff very friendly kind and hey.

Juts straight up lies. The pictures are not of the property. It did not have a lake view, it did not have a water park. The bed seemed slept on and the towels also. It's just a run down trashy gross motel. It's quite sad.

We read a lot of critical google reviews. This place does not offer many amenities. But they don't say that they do. So we didn't expect them, and we weren't there for them. It was half the price of the next door hotels, and we got a clean room, clean towels, hot water, and yes, a time-capsule motel room - but we walked 10 feet and were on a sandy beach on Lake Huron. I mean, come on. The pool house was dated but pretty clean. The pool itself seemed clean, the hot tub seemed clean minus some sand which, I am not sure how you keep sand out of the hot tub that close to the beach. Only one of the two TVs worked, but, eh, we hadn't planned on watching TV except during our brought-with-us breakfast. We'd stay here again! If you are looking for modern facilities, hair dryers, ironing boards, and a 4 star experience, this is not your place. If you are looking for a clean, cheap place on Lake Huron - boom! You found it.

Right on the water

We got there and went to our room. There were dead bugs inside our room in the window. Went to check in area to talk to someone. There were 3 people ahead of us complaining about their rooms. One person had poop in and all over their toilet and it wouldn’t flush. No refunds were available or anything. Just being moved to another room was offered. Other room was just as bad. Just took the loss of what we paid went to a different hotel. Luckily the lady was nice and did what she could and told me that because I booked with Expedia, I could get a refund of the second night! Thank goodness!
