Old furniture, greasy chairs, the air conditioner is running loudly. Convenient parking, right at our door.

Love the size of the room, lots of space to move around in. The outside reminds you of an old school motel.

to Hotel, Please check toilet flap. My room has smaller and does not close well. Add whether strip at door to reduce energy as well as Fan noise. Check Heater fan state. My room fan touches side and generate unpleasant noise.

Stains on the two chairs in the room. Very old room and furniture, Bathroom was somewhat updated. Afraid to touch everything. Total Bates motel. Will not stay here again. Continental breakfast choice was cereal and waffles.

It was fun to stay in a vintage motel! The vibe was really cute. Super close to downtown and the university. It was very simple but that’s all we needed for a quick overnight stay. It was very clean, the checkin/checkout was painless, a/c worked great, etc. Breakfast was only waffles and drinks but it was enough to get us back on the road.

Very rundown. Very Old. Holes in window curtains. Furniture very old. Visable stains on chairs. Pillows were so small and flat, hard to call them a pillow. The bathroom and bedding were clean.

The hotel is not kept up to good on the outside. When you go into the room there is no thermostat, you have to manually turn on and off the old air condition wall / window unit. We stayed in the hotel in February so it was still cold. There are no extra pillows or not even a blanket on the bed. My husband and I froze at night, there was only towels for one person. Had to go the office twice to request towels. The bed spread on the beds needed to be cleaned. The continental breakfast was a joke. Had to go the hotel next door which there was not enough room to move around. Not a professional setup of the breakfast bar. For the price we paid for our two night stay was outrages in price.

This is a very run down aged hotel. We reserved a non smoking room but we could smell smoke and there were actual cigarette burns on the bedspread. Our remote control did not work. There was not much water pressure in the shower. Our room was cold and we could see a gap around the door. The security chain was missing. I do not recommend this property. There were many simple updates or repairs that could be made to improve the room.

The room was run down and the furniture was old, soiled and very dirty. We did not dare sit any where. The a/c was in one room and the heat around the corner in another. The mattress was old and did not support us as we slept. There was no room to put shaving equipment in the bathroom. We had had to go to the motel next door to get our continental breakfast. No hangers in the closet.

I like the easy access, parking available, continental breakfast included, direct tv. Quiet and many restaurants near by. I did not like the remote for tv have to get very close to tv in order to work, did not like the shower very poor finish, have to go next door for breakfast.

This place was very scary as a single woman. It is very dilapidated and old. Not very clean. I felt very unsafe to the point where I had to get another hotel room.

In front of my room, there is a basket full of trash. The couch was dirty.

Based on other reviews, my expections were low, but the room was reasonbly clean, everything worked, and it was a fair price.

Cordial check-in employee and low price were the only redeeming qualities of our stay. They are neglecting everything about cleanliness and maintenance. Stains, noisy AC, dirty sheets. Free continental breakfast is at another Hotel.

Moldy smell in room and staying in linens.

Parking can be cramp but overall good place with plenty of food close by and not far from freeway entrance.

Breakfast was not very good, was finished too early for Saturday morning. Too much left to desired. I don’t know if I will stay there again.

Top lock on door was broken. AC was hard to reach & when it was turned on the room was a freezer box. Remote for TV had batteries held in place with duct tape. Curtain was in poor condition & not attached properly. Rat's nest of cords by TV. Cord by the night stand that wasn't attached to anything. Breakfast was terrible. Sign out front mentions "kitchenettes" -- WHERE? Didn't notice there was HBO, as per the sign. And all this and I paid about $150. I felt I was ripped off! I will NEVER recommend this motel!

Hotel was ok but very bare bones and somewhat old and tired. WiFi was so weak r was almost totally unusable. Breakfast is at the hotel next door and about as minimal as possible. Very expensive considering the property condition and amenities

Great stay at the Sands! Room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The staff was welcoming and courteous. Definitely will book again!!
