Very friendly staff, beautiful new clean rooms, amazing pool area with a million dollar view, perfect location close to everything yet very peaceful while on the property, i highly recommend the Villas D'água

This place is exceptional! The wow as you walk into reception and see the stunning sea view. We particularly loved the gorgeous, luxury interiors, amazing pool and the most beautiful setting, just a short walk to a stunning quiet beach. I cannot fault the place and we had a wonderful holiday here. The staff were so polite and accommodating and really went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay. Our room was beautifully designed and so clean. Everything had been thought of. There is a local supermarket nearby and lots of great restaurants so don’t be worried about self catering. There is also a cash pool bar for snacks and drinks. We had one of our best holidays here - it was perfect for us - super relaxing and chilled surrounded by what felt like 5* luxury! But we also did 2 excursions to an aqua park and a boat trip for dolphin watching - would highly recommend both. Uber was also fantastic for getting around. Thank you so much Villas D’Agua - we will definitely be back!

This hotel is unfortunately not finished and has a serious problem when it comes to bird excrement from seagulls who have claimed some of the properties. The apartment itself was great and modern and clean but the stairs are dangerous as there is no handrail on the lower part and they are slippery tile. The patio doors are also terrible as they don’t actually lock and the shutters are very hard to open. The balcony upstairs also has a large gap where a child could fall through so we had to put our daughter downstairs and my wife slept upstairs on the sofa bed. We only had housekeeping twice in the week (once being our final night which was strange) even though it listed daily housekeeping. There is no pool bar as listed but it wouldn’t matter as the mess and pool is disgusting you do not want to be near it. I have never in all my years travelling witnessed such a mess from wildlife and the smell was revolting. We did flag with the hotel and they attempted to clean it but the swimming pool itself is so dirty it is a health hazard. I over heard a guest say “is there fish in here as it smells fishy”. This could be an amazing place but not at the moment and needs a lot of work and staff to be acceptable as a hotel. The sunbeds are fabric and are not cleaned so you are sitting on beds that other people have lay on, they have to cover the beds at night to prevent the birds relieving themselves on them. I will say the staff are so lovely and pleasant and they were very apologetic.

Excellent building. apartments are brand new and well equipped. The beach access is the down side. Parking outside the resort is a drama. Highly recommendable!
