Those carpets absolutely need to be changed please.
That is urgent. Otherwise the hotel is perfectly located, comfortable, safe, clean & pool/gym. Shopping mall & restaurants are amazing so BEST choice for San Jose for sure

The breakfast was great. For lunch and dinner you can either walk minutes for upscale dining or 13 minutes walk to Multiplaza with 365 stores and every fast food place. The hotel does not have the tropical Costa Rica vibe. The pool is small but clean. Most tours pick up from hotel which is convenient.

I was transferred to another hotel via email. I wasn’t told why, wasn’t given an upgrade or partial refund. I consider that a terrible experience

My first check in was not that good I was totally ignored I am a regular guest at the hotel, but due to the pandemic I wasn’t able to travel , but Diane at the front desk came and checked me in and made sure I was straight. She was awesome. She really made me feel very special. The way I used to feel.

Excellent Hotel in a superb location. Affordable, fantastic breakfast. Just minutes from Multiplaza Shopping mall and walkable distance from great dinning options. Filippo Restaurante and the Restaurant at Grano de Oro are highly recommended. Safe location to walk in a high-end neighborhood. Poas, Waterfall and Irazu Volcano Tours are highly recommended too.

Carpet in the room dirty, noisy AC, fan in bathroom didn't work it was fixed after a few days, i ask at the desk in lobby to wake me up at 2:00 am and they forgot , so they need some improvement..

Some areas seem outdated and in need of renovation (carpeting); should check quality of the food served at breakfast; tried the hash browns 2 days in a row and they were stale and you could taste the freezer scent

This is a top notch hotel in the posh Escazu area of San Jose. The breakfast was superlative with a plethora of healthy and tasty options to chose from including authentic Costa Rican fare as well as Continental style. The hotel room was nice, big, clean, with comfy bed, pull out bed, additional sheets and pillow, dishes, cups, full size refrigerator, fish washer everything else you typically find in an extended stay. We also enjoyed the outdoor pool. The hotel has a fully equipped gym if you want to use it.
Only recommendation we have is to provide advance guidance on where to park. The hotel is close to a tolled roadway with an entrance ramp leaving firectly off of the driveway that leaves the hotel. As you arent familiar with this, you may end up getting on to the toll way, instead of turning right immediately as you exit the hotel parking.

If you have get to up early for guided tours or to catch a flight, I would recommend staying at another hotel. The live outdoor music from the AC Marriott hotel across the street every night made it impossible to go to sleep before 11:30PM. Unfortunately, this ruined what was otherwise a nice stay. The hotel itself and staff were nice.

Excellent location and great service and breakfast. However there are three design issues with building: First, each suite has a and AC air handler unit within the unit right at the base of the bed, so the noise when AC kicks in is so loud that it wakes you up each and every time(we switched rooms and all are same). Also our second room on 2nd floor was in hall directly above stairs close to restaurant so every morning for 4 hours you can smell food in your room(perhaps they could close the door to hallway to the rooms). lastly the bathroom faucet sink barely reaches the edge of bowl which is annoying and gets water on counter every time. Again, location and service were great but will look elsewhere in the area simply because of those building/operational flaws.
