Absolute gem of a place. Very convenient but you need a car. Upon checking in the owner gave us perfect instructions on parking in Levanto and taking the train to the Cinque Terre towns. The hotel location is nestled in a quiet mountain forest area, so beautiful with free parking. Highly recommend this place. The only regret we have is we never set up time to eat at the owners restaurant located on property. Heard very good things.

Beautiful property only a 15 min drive down to train station with easy access to all Cinque Terre villages. We were looking forward to eating at the Michelin award restaurant but be aware they close restaurant on sun and mon the days we were there. When we arrived, we got a great reception and info from one of the owners which helped us a lot but absolutely zero support after this. No one around on the property to help after our initial check in. When we had a problem with the tv, we called them and they said “why do you need tv, this is not a 4 star hotel”- this was rude but we still enjoyed our stay as property is modern and in beautiful setting.

Very enjoyable stay for 3 nights

Lovely place set in the mountain away from the noise of Cinqueterra. Michael and his wife and their staff were just awesome. Their restaurant was fabulous and an amazing breakfast was included. We had a first floor room so no steps yay! Michael made a great fire in the pit each night . A beautiful courtyard to enjoy drinks by the fire.

Room was modern and quite large. Bedding was too soft and uncomfortable, shower was very awkward and tv very small and difficult to use. Hosts were very gracious. Breakfast just OK. Location is beautiful and convenient to Cinque Terra train but requires a drive along a high and winding road.

Wonderfull hotel, clean ,owners are very nice young couple ,good service, breakfast delicious.... but if you are there, you need a car !

Really nice hotel with big and modern rooms. Breakfast is nice. Staff is very polite. They will give you parking ticket with which you can save a lot of money on parking. Overall very nice experience

Off the beaten track but worth getting out of the city

Beautiful property set in the mountains. The rooms are simple yet very comfortable with lovely views. We really enjoyed coming back here after our days in Cinque Terre. What sets this property apart is the owners. They set up a table for us to have picnics every evening with our families and children. They are extremely kind, fun and run a great hotel. Go stay there! There is no question we will be back!

Ideal place to stay especially with a car easy access to toll road Short drive into Levanto and easy access to railway to visit coastal towns This was the end of our 7 weeks away and an ideal place to stay and relax and enjoy Breakfast very good and a top class restaurant for evening meals

My son found the Hotel Abetaia in Internet after researching multiple locations for our trip to Cinque Terre. He knows I am very demanding with regards to places were we stay on business or vacations. In a nut shell, even though the Hotel Abetaia is not located in Cinque Terre it was worth the stay. It is located approximately 10 minutes by car to Levanto, from there you can take a train to all Cinque Terre locations. The hotel is manage and owned by a family; we were given family treatment from day one to the end of a seven day stay. Sonia, wife and cook runs the kitchen with outstanding queality food, we tried everything. The restaurant has a Michelin fork award, well earned. Michaelo the husband is a good sommelier as well as an excellent public relations person charming all customers. All the staff Lara, Marida, Tania to name some are also outstanding.For us it was an excellent experience and well paid investment to stay at the Hotel Abetaia and will return in the future.

Excellent hotel with very clean, comfortable modern rooms. Restaurant has outstanding food with a menu that is predominately based upon the local fresh fish, although other options are available. Staff is wonderfully pleasant and helpful. Overall excellent base for touring Cinque Terre and region and also great value for money.

The Hotel Abetaia is a lovely property, it reminded us of a country chalet. Sonia, one of the owners, is a great cook. The rooms are very spacious and lovely. While off the beaten track we had no regrets being at the hotel.

Hotel Abetaia is off the beaten path for Cinque Terra, but well worth it! We stayed here after our original hotel in La Spezia was overbooked. I am SO glad we stayed in Levanto. It is a smaller town and the hotel is in a beautiful setting in the woods. A very nice, quiet place to return to after the journey to Cinque Terra. Rooms were excellent and the staff was very friendly. Upon arrival the staff told us how to get to Cinque Terre, train station, trails etc... really helpful.

We chose this hotel from reviews and was not disappointed. The rooms were lovely, and we had a balcony to relax, really cannot fault anything. The owners ran the restaurant on the property and the food was great. Nothing was too much trouble, we would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone who needs a base to explore the area.

The breakfast in the morning was a perfect way to start the day before hiking the trails.You do need to have a car or be willing to pay for a taxi (20 euro each way) down to the Levanto town center and train stop. That was the ONLY downside to the hotel. However, That wont deter me from staying here again as it truly was a great experience.

This hotel is conveniently located of the highway but is located in a quiet wooded and peaceful area. You feel great in the moment you arrive there. Our room was spacious and felt like everything in it was brand new and super clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. The bathroom was equally large and nicely appointed. It,s an easy trip from there to Levanto where you can catch the train to the circa terra or a boat. We used both and enjoyed both. The hotel has a top notch independen restaurant as a neighbor with a two minute walk (seriously). We ate their twice and got great food. This is a great place to stay in the cinca terra.

Its such a beautiful hotel with a garden. The room is so spacious with very relaxing atmosphere. Great rainshower & bathroom too. The hotel is beautifully and stylishly decorated, each decoration is an art piece. I love them all. Sonia & her husband are so helpful. we did have very late check in and they are so kind to wait for us and show us the way to get our dinner. Also they have exhibited some beautiful art pieces at the dinning hall and they helped us to make the order within a day. they are just great!The hotel comes with a restaurant as well but it was close during our stay but i would imagine that it must be good. Anyway, its just 10km away from the town and you can find lots of good restaurant withe great seafood! From the town you just take the train to visit Cinque Terre and they are gorgeous!

Excellent new hotel in the hills 6km out of Levanto. Restaurant provided delicious very well presented food at night a la carte & breakfast. Rooms spacious & very clean.

We stayed for 6 nights at this charming hotel, using it as a base for exploring the Italian Riviera. It is in a peaceful, beautiful location and is a very convenient base for visiting all the places of interest in the area.It is a family run hotel and the owners and their staff are very welcoming and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble-they will spend time talking through routes, making suggestions and printing off any maps or information you might find useful.The rooms are spacious and very attractive and comfortable. It was very quiet at night and we slept really well. We ate in the restaurant four times and the service and food and wine were excellent.We would highly recommend this lovely hotel.
