The hotel interior design downstairs was beautiful and that’s what made us pick it over others. What let it down was the lack of amenities for the price we paid. It was €208 euros for a double room with breakfast for 2 people for one night. There was no tea and coffee in the room. The room was clean and modern but basic. No iron and ironing board in the room to use, you have to get it from reception. There was only hair and body wash in the bathroom, no hair conditioner. I wouldn’t have minded so much that these things were missing if it was cheaper but for the price we paid I expected these to be provided. We stayed at the Radisson hotel for 3 nights before this one in Zurich which was cheaper and provided much more. We even had our own kitchenette. I wouldn’t stay here again for the price, maybe if it was cheaper.

Disappointed that I paid the same amount for 2 king rooms but one was significantly bigger.

A not expensive good hotel.

Excellent too (river view 5th floor), very comfortable bed, shower, spacious. The only cons is that there is no water cattel for tea... This is a sub standard compared to all hotels in the area at this price range. (I stayed at dozens already). Indisnt have breakfast (extra 16 euros). Othwrwise highly recommended for comfort, as well as easy check in and out.

We loved the location of Motel One, it was within easy walking distance along the river to the Old Town. The views from our window were amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we would stay here again

We were disappointed with our stay here. We realize this is a budget hotel, but simple things could make an improvement. Firstly, the name indicates it’s near the Mirabelle area, and it is not. It is a pretty far walk and the neighborhood does not feel safe, especially after dark. The room is in need of some updates, especially the pillows! They were awful- lumpy, flat and smelly. The bed very hard and the sheets thin. The towels were fine. Only one trash can in the bathroom , none in the bedroom. The staff was friendly.

Lovely comfortable hotel. Comfy bed and plenty of hot water in shower. We were fortunate to have a view of the river which was great! Convenient to walk along river path into Salzburg in few minutes.

This is a lovely hotel about20 mins walk down the river from to old town. We were lucky and had a fab view of the river from our room.

Room needs two glasses and additional counter space and luggage racks.

Pleasant hotel overlooking the river in central Salzburg and only a 5 minute walk from the railway station. Room was comfortable. No tea / coffee making facilities were provided in the room which was disappointing and unusual when compared to what other hotels provide. Small paper cups were only available for drinking water.

Hotel a short walk away from the train station. If you want a room with a view try to ask for river view (even in the notes) - as as you can see the “city view” wasn't all that. About a 10-15 minute walk from old town down the river. Staff friendly at check in. Hotel VERY basic. No fridge, no coffee machine, no phone to contact reception, small bathroom with limited facilities and poor ventilation - there was a safe and hairdryer though. Hotel only served sandwiches and crisps but a wide range of drinks so lacking in food. Didn't have breakfast. There isn’t many facilities around it, you have to cross the bridge for that. Overall I thought the hotel was basic for the price, and feel we could have got more for our money elsewhere both with facilities and views.

I came down with Covid and had to cancel the entire trip to Austria and Germany. I did my best to cancel everything, but forgot about this hotel. I contacted them and hotels.com and explained I came down with Covid. The hotel wanted medical proof. I work for a medical device company and they gave us home tests. I took the test, tested positive and threw the test away. I explained that I knew it was my fault for forgetting to cancel, but the hotel insisted on a medical document. I did not expect a full refund, but they decided not to give me ANY refund and blamed hotels.com and said if I booked through them they could have. I had help from hotels.com and they said it was completely up to the hotel, not them. In the end they were not even human enough to understand that we are all going through a lot right now. I lost money on the whole trip and just asked them to be thoughtful and give me some type of partial refund. I hope none of the people that I dealt with at the hotel have anything like this happen to them and if they do get covid, someone is understanding of this.

The hotel is nice and the lobby looks great, but the room was quite small, the smallest we’ve stayed at in Europe. Other than a small table and extremely small bedside tables, there is nowhere to place things, it’s just hooks and hangers, so we ended up having to pile everything in the cubby area. It just felt cramped and difficult to maneuver in the room. We also had problems with the air conditioning, either it couldn’t keep up with the warm temperatures or it wasn’t working, but it got very hot and musty smelling during the day, even though the air was turned on. For the price, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great price and accommodations. Not too many dinning options around and a good walk from the historic city.

The best mattress I’ve had during my trip. Good location. Seems like it’s a little far from Alstadt but there are buses close by and actually the walk is quite nice, sometimes there are stalls by the river if you cross over. Missing some basic provisions such as shower cap, body lotion etc which I would expect for the price. The room cleaning seems to be at a very odd time. After my first night there I was out of the hotel from early morning until just before 5.30pm. When I arrived back I saw people cleaning rooms. As I was exhausted at this point I put the do not disturb on my room. Someone still knocked to ask if I wanted it cleaning. I would expect cleaning to have taken place by this time and the do not disturb to be complied with. It was however very clean when I arrived.

The parking is limited, so we parked free off site at first, then parked on site for a fee of Euro 13 per night

We stayed here for the night as part of an Austrian road trip. The hotel is easy to find - right on the river bank - but be aware parking is limited. We parked on a nearby side road but that's obviously not ideal. Service was superb, very helpful and excellent English. Our room was pretty basic but had everything needed other than a kettle! The wifi was decent but the network was unsecured which was surprising. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and good value. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the old town, straight down the riverbank or 5 minutes to Mirabelle Gardens.

Stylish and clean rooms. Nice river view. Very friendly staff. If you want to attend the Salzburg Festival it´s a little far walking well dressed but otherwise a nice 15 min. walk along the river into old town.

As a whole hotel is great and very clean. It would be better if there was a kettle in the room to make tea. Check in was too slow, and for some reason not every staff member could use the computer which was annoying. Room was nice. Bed comfy. Good value for money. Motel one's website didn't let us book one night only, but Expedia did, so forced to book it on there. Basically was great, would recommend.
