Great place

Wonderful and very friendly people and a lovely hotel.

It was a run down resort. Pictures are very outdated from expedia. Everyone was nice and friendly but our room was disgusting.. we had small ants in our bathroom, the window wouldn’t close so we had to sleep with the bathroom door closed and in the morning we found more bugs. The toilet had a mind of its own flushed when it wanted too, took us 3-5 attempts to flush. We checked out early because it was horrible and disgusting. The food was always left open and flies all over the food. We got all inclusive but was limited to the drinks, should have been advertised.you had to pay for extra things like ice cream or speciality drinks, so much for all inclusive. Just go somewhere else or stay in Nairobi.

The overall experience was not bad. The staff were friendly and mostly helpful. The food was ok, nothing special and the all inclusive drinks were limited to their list. If you book the hotel, make sure you choose the all inclusive package instead of the full board to get all inclusive deals. Amazing hotel. I’m a repeat guest, sometimes with the entire family including 2 little kids. Both the adults snd the kids always feel well looked after. Highly recommended

Nice locations next to beach. Had nice nice seaview balcony. Only minus is that breakfast is nothing special and in the bars you only have limited variety of beers.

One of the most friendly staff Ive met any where on a resort. Everything was excellent. You will experience when showering and brushing teeth that the water is salty. Stayed for 2 nights and will definitely go back again!

I liked the view and cleanness of swimming pool. As well, staff caring is appreciated. Toilet room (water flash) needs maintenance.

Loved the pool. Its large and spacious. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating. The food is ok and lacked variety each day. Breakfast was better than dinner. If you have the half board, drinks are not included for dinner, which i found ridiculous. For a change in food, i recommend trying safari inn restaurant. Their food is great and affordable and only a 2 min walk outside of hotel gate. They also have live bands on Tuesday and thursday nights.The rooms are large and spacious with a nice balcony. My room was a high floor with partial view of the ocean. It was awesome. The beds were very comfortable and a tv is provided. I did not like the bathrooms. They need serious renovations. My toilet wouldn't flush a few times.Lastly, the beach is ok. Its a lot of coral and part of the beach is receding. Beware of the beach boys. I was walking along the beach and 2 of them followed me showing me marine life and then at the end told me i had to pay $20 for the tour that i never asked for. After that, i just stayed on the hotel grounds. Overall i enjoyed my stay and would return for another relaxing vacation.

The hotel has seen better days. The beds were comfortable and the views spectacular, but the tiles in the bathroom were chipped, as were several of the plates in the dining room. The extensions on the phone weren't working, either. Most critically, however, was that the WIFI didn't extend to my room.

This was my first visit to Kenya so I have no frame of reference other than Hotels I have visited in Europe . The pools and amenities were excellent . Clean and well-maintained and the staff generally welcoming .The room was beautifully situated and had a balcony and a fabulous sea view. However , the condition and standard of the room was lacking for an Hotel in this price/star bracket. The basin bore a large crack, the shower control lever was badly corroded and was not thermostatically controlled.Water was properly hot but saline. Some friends commented that I was being unreasonably picky given that overall , the room was comfortable and a good size. In fairness , I had a very good deal with four days half board coming to around 110 GBP a day for a couple.

Problem with check-in took 20 minutes to resolve had to email screenshots of booking confirmation to their reception. 'Superior' room okay for price and quite clean although paint peeling on fixtures and fittings, plug in sink broken and old TV with decoder. Wouldn't even consider booking 'standard' room based on quality of 'superior'. Long delay in room being cleaned one day had to tell reception. Buffet lunch had a waiter telling me in the middle of lunch to go to the bar and pay for drinks then again few minutes later asking me to pay 600 shillings for the drinks in the middle of lunch. Told him to just bring the bill at the end of the meal like normal and it would be settled! We paid bed and breakfast so the buffet lunch price seemed to be made up on the spot with receipt scribbled in pen on scrap paper. Very overpriced for the quality. Good selection at breakfast but the food gave me and my family stomach ache for 3 days. Hotel focused on domestic all-inclusive market. This is reflected in relatively low price. One staff member decided hardcore gangster rap with abundant swearing/inappropriate sexual/racial language was suitable to play loudly poolside with numerous young children around. Ridiculous! Positives: staff were mostly very friendly. Pavillion Bar had great views and was a nice place to relax for a while. But the whole place needs some investment and repair work and there are some obvious staff training needs if they want to appeal to the international market.
