Friendly staff

This oldie but goodie in a convenient location provides a very clean option for a quick overnight or couple of days in Hobart. It is out from the city but near the practical and big box shopping at Moonah. Currently a great price value ratio.

For me it was a very convenient location and good value accommodation. Not good customer service attitude from breakfast staff who preferred to stand chatting while we waited to order. Reception staff pleasant and made us feel welcome .

Simple apartment for our family of 6 with an infant. with parking space available. We booked a villa for 6 pax. one of the bed was in the living room instead.

Overall, the experience was pleasant. The room was clean and very spacious, with all the amenities our family needed. The beds were comfortable, and having an electric blanket was nice during the cooler season. The only negative is that the heater is located in the lounge room, so in the one-bedroom or two-bedroom villas, the hot air doesn’t reach the bedrooms, making them less warm than the living room. Additionally, the separate toilet had a window with an open inlet to the outdoors, which made it very cold. The restaurant was excellent, with great service, and the location was convenient, offering easy access to the highway and fantastic views of the river. There was a nice kids' pirate play park, a boat ramp, and a little jetty where you could walk, feed the ducks, and enjoy the beautiful view. We would definitely come again, as it would be lovely in the summer.

The setting is very peaceful for being so close to city and highway, Convenient access to highway and surrounds. Choice of motel style accommodation plus cottages and houses. Very convenient for single travelers and groups.

Service like no other we have had in tas. Remembered our names for check out. Great facilities.

Excellent hotel with great view.

Lovely to look out over the water. The room was clean and well equipped. When we arrived the check-in was welcoming and efficient. We were a little concerned that it might be noisy near the road but it quietened down by bedtime.

Good river front walking track, jetty and swimming pool. Convenient dining facility.

Good sized family room with 2 beds partioned off from the main area.

Good location. Rooms could use some updating.

Enjoyed the stay

I loved the water views, and the extremely friendly ducks, that wandered into the room every chance they got 😀 It was lovely to sit outside with friends of an evening, admiring the view.

We booked in at the large house at the Riverfront motel for our group of 7. The house was unique, spacious and clean with more than enough room for all of us. The area where the Riverfront Motel and Villas is located is beautiful and scenic and we all enjoyed our stay. Our accomodation provided a fabulous base for us to explore the local tourist areas and was a lovely spot to enjoy when we were just relaxing. The kids loved the tennis court and the pool, we will definitely stay here when we come back - thank you!

The place is quiet and near to town. Very nice atmosphere.

One of the highlights was the breathtaking view – the scenic beauty by the river was truly mesmerizing. The added charm of ducklings on the premises made the experience even more delightful. It's rare to find such a perfect blend of cleanliness, safety, friendliness, and natural beauty in one place.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, friendly, easy access. Very close to MONA. A couple of cute ducks at the door, with ducklings!

We stayed in the older motel section with a river view. The old-style room was comfortable enough and we loved the river view. Had a room service meal because the restaurant was booked out, and the food arrived hot and was very good. The room is not well insulated and we could easily hear conversations and snoring from other rooms.

Really enjoyed staying here. We stayed in the one bedroom villa, very comfortable. I would have just liked to have been told when booking that you have to pay a $200 refundable room deposit on top of your room fee which doesn’t go back into your account for 3-5 business days.

Older style motel but very clean, well maintained rooms and gardens.

The location was beautiful right on the water. Very well maintained and was lovely to see them growing their own vegetabled. Breakfast was delicious. Would have been nice to have a little bit of cutlery and plates/bowls.

We have stayed here before. Clean and conveniently located. Beautiful view from the room. Easy and friendly check-in. Service in the dining room wasn't the best.

I thought it was excellent! The friendly lady at hotel reception upgraded us to a River front view that I could walk out to! The only thing that I wasn’t sure about was my gin and tonic ordered at the bar area of the restaurant with our super meal! Maybe a slice of lime, lemon or cucumber would been nice to embellish it with. And there was an awful lot of tonic in it! Some guidance here maybe! But all else was superb. Thank you.
